I am writing this review through foggy glasses because I can't stop the tears. Photos of You is a book I needed in my life!! It gave me so much perspective on life and appreciating this life that I was given. It a book that is heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time. I am so excited for everyone to read this book because I know the positive impact it will have on so many readers' lives.

Photos of You is about a 28-year-old woman named Ava who receives the heartbreaking news that her cancer has come back. Her doctor tells her that she has about a year left to live. She goes through all of the emotions but ultimately decides that she wants to have her control back. This disease is controlling her life and given her an expiration date, but she can control how she says goodbye.

Ava decides to say goodbye to those she loves most by having a wedding. Although she doesn't have a groom, she will be celebrating her life and cherishing her moments she got to spend with everyone.

When her friends post about her situation on social media, there is a huge response. So many people around the world want to help her in any way they can. She even gets the attention of a well-known magazine and they agree to make it a story.

The magazine will document the actual wedding and everything leading up to it. Ava also agrees to write a section every so often to give readers a look into her life and what she is feeling.

This whole process led Ava to the realization that she hasn't lived the life she wanted to. She uses this time to experience new things and truly appreciates all the little things in life.

I loved that Tammy Robinson fulfilled one of Ava's biggest wish/hope. Experiencing love. She wrote another amazing character when she created James. He is funny and kind. His heart is so big. James makes Ava feel special and like a woman; not just a woman who is dying.

I could go on and on about this book. I want to thank the author for writing such a special story. Photos of You was one of my most anticipated releases of 2020 and it exceeded all of my expectations. I loved how I could tell she did research about cancer and handled it with so much class and respect. I could also tell that her own experiences were in her writing. I felt every word, every precious moment, every breath, every blink!

I give Photos of You 5 stars. It's a must-read that will pull at your heartstrings. It leaves you feeling fearless and ready to tackle your life with newfound confidence and appreciation.

ALL. THE. STARS.

This book hit me right in the feels. I cried SEVEN times, SEVEN. I truly felt the emotion in this book and this was everything I was hoping it to be!

This book made me want to call up my friends and family at 12:30 in the morning, mid read, and tell them I love them as tears were pouring down my face. I’ve made several plans since then. Be more to those around you. Do more. Connect. Call your friends and family for a meal, drink or outing. Spend more time with your children, nieces and nephews. Travel if you can. Just live your best life.

This book.. with all it’s emotion, love, and sadness is now my favorite book I have ever read. I have been recommending it to everyone. I also recommend it to you. Please pick this up when you can, but have a box of tissues ready. You’ve been warned.

THIS BOOK WAS MY FAVORITE of 2019!!!!! Five starts!

This book ropes you in from the very first page and keeps you until the end. Wow. The story starts off with a grime prognosis for our leading lady. In a last ditch effort to live her life to the fullest she plans out the one thing she's wanted the most since she was a little girl, her wedding. With no groom in sight everyone around Ava helps out together a wedding she will never forget and will carry with her until her last breath. If you are a fan of books such as Me Before You. Pick this book up asap!!!

I was looking for a light hearted book after a few predictable suspense/thriller books and what I got was this gem. Yes it was a sorry about a woman dying from cancer but it was so much more! The author gives you great characters with a story you fall in love with, how can you not? This book was super sad though but I still love it.

Thanks to author, publisher and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review! I will definitely be recommending this!

"Don't wait until your dying to start living."

Finding out her cancer has returned and is terminal, Ava is determined to do the one thing she has always dreamt of...she wants to get married. Knowing this is a tough task being a 28-year-old single woman with metastatic breast cancer, she decides to take control of her life again and give herself a wedding in place of a funeral. Her friends reach out for help on social media and Ava soon is flooded with responses and resources. Surrounded by her loved ones, she finds out the definition of truly living in her final days.

This is a really special story. Not only does Tammy Robinson advocate and raise awareness for breast cancer, she brings to light how important it is to live. Photos of You is a necessary reminder to not sweat the small things but also to appreciate the small things. Appreciate everything really. You never know which day will be your last, so live each one like it is. (And yes, you will likely shed lots of tears reading this)

Thank you NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Where do I start? This was a very emotional read for me as an Oncology nurse. Ava has battled breast cancer before but it comes back terminally when she is 28. The way Tammy writes makes you feel so connected to the characters that you can’t help but want to jump right in and help the community arrange these special moments for Ava. When I’m at work, I always encourage my patients to really think about what is important to them and seek out those moments before it is too late. This book definitely reminded me that life is a precious gift.

“Love has no past and no future. Love just is.”

Oh my heart, this story was so beautifully written and incredibly heartbreaking.

Ava is in her late twenties and is diagnosed with stage four breast cancer. Her biggest dream in life was to get married. She decides she wants to celebrate her life with a wedding instead of the end of her life with a funeral.

Throughout Ava’s story she brings awareness to breast cancer and the fact that unfortunately cancer doesn’t care how old you are, how much money you have, or what religion or race you are. It unfortunately can happen to anyone.

This beautiful story reminds us not to take life for granted. Stop and enjoy the moment. Smell the roses. Love with everything you have. Physical gifts don’t matter, moments do.

5 💫 Thank you @netgalley for my ARC for my honest review. #PhotosOfYou

Thanks to Read Forever Pub for the book to read and review. I admit when I got the widget thru my email I didn't even read what the book was about. So being an oncology nurse this book was so much more for me. Overall the whole theme of living your life is awe-inspiring. For me, this was a whole new outlook of my job and seeing things from a patient's point of view. It is a real tear jerker for sure, The relationships that Ava has with friends and family is beautiful. The idea of a wedding to celebrate her life instead of a funeral is so thought provoking. This is a must read for everyone.

This was a beautiful story! Incredibly well done considering the emotional material. I read it in one sitting on an airplane and was glad to have the time to get through it. Many others have written about the story I will only add if you have lost someone recently this will likely bring up lots of emotion so be prepared. I'm so glad I read it.
