This adorable picture book appealed to me as much as its intended audience. It doesn't hurt that I love this artist.

Her art style is gorgeous and the story is the cutest thing ever. This author is becoming one of my favorites for sure. You can expect a adorable plot but also an important message behind it. Just believe in yourself and it's OK to ask for help.

This book is for a younger audience than Katie O'Neill typically writes for, but it is just as cute and wholesome as her titles for older readers! A simple story in comics format about doing your personal best, and always cheering on your friends. This would be great for 2nd-4th graders.

A charming little picture book full of beautiful illustrations and a simple storyline that is sure to please even the pickiest young reader.

It is whimsical, delicate and uncomplicated. Katie O’Neil creates a delightful underwater world for her characters to coexist in. Dewdrop is an easy-going upbeat protagonist that sends a great message to any young person that reads their story- support your friends and find joy in your achievements.

Dewdrop by Katie O'Neill is absolutely adorable! Perfect length to read aloud with a large group or with a child. A lot of fun and a great message to young readers!

This is such a cute story about Dewdrop the axolotl and how he cheers on his friends and supports them doing the things they love. The message is really inspiring for kids and the illustrations are absolutely adorable.

Another seriously adorable kids book by Katie O’Neill. I love how the solution to stage fright/performance anxiety is the love of a good friend and the determination to be the best version of yourself you can be all wrapped up in adorable art and cute characters.

This book was ADORABLE. I would expect no less from Katie O'Neill, but wow so sweet. Dewdrop is so pure and such a good friend without doing anything out of the ordinary. The art style was, as always, gorgeous. I hope that if I ever have children this is one of their favorite books and they can be like Dewdrop. I also adore the discarding of traditional gender roles without that being the center of the book.

OMG WHAT A CUTE BOOK!! Katie O'Neill's artwork is always so stunning although I am clearly not the audience for this book, I thoroughly enjoyed it! It tells a sweet tale of friendship, support, and self-worth all wrapped up in a gorgeous illustrated style. I don't usually pick up or read children's/picture books, but Katie O'Neill's style is so stunning I couldn't stop myself.

This is exactly what I need on a day where I am feeling down. I never expect anything but gold when it comes to Katie O'Neill. The art, the story, the little worlds she creates. Dewdrop is just such an adorable story of friendship, doing what you love, and not letting yourself get too down. Can't wait to have a physical copy!

Another great book - beautiful in art and message - from Katie O'Neill. There are not enough superlatives to show how cute and awesome this book is. The art is amazing. The story is super-adorable. Check this one out!!

Katie O’Neill’s Dewdrop is a lovely picture book with adorable artwork and a simple but eternally applicable message.

It’s almost time for the pond’s yearly Sports Fair! Easy-going axolotl Dewdrop is working on his cheerleading routine while Newman the newt is preparing a song, Mia the turtle is entering the pebble-throwing contest and the three minnows will be taking care of the food. However, as the Sports Fair draws closer, Dewdrop’s friends begin to doubt themselves. It’s up to cheerleader Dewdrop to remind them of their achievements and abilities!

What a pure and gentle story! The plot is simple, unhurried, and easy-to-follow. I love the central themes of friendship, community, and kindness. The messages of believing in yourself, celebrating your own achievements and working at your own pace are also wonderful. The book’s universal and timeless values are perfectly inspirational for children but adults can definitely learn from Dewdrop. I know I did! I especially love that O’Neill deftly avoids being didactic or boring with her messages. Instead, her writing is sincere, moving, and authentic.

The book’s artwork is lovely and bright with soft and warm colours. I love the cute and wonderfully illustrated characters, especially adorably pink little Dewdrop. I just love that sweet cheerleading axolotl! He is such a cheerful, optimistic, and kind character that you can’t help but feel encouraged and happy too! All the other aquatic creatures are also super cute and memorable. I loved learning and growing along with them.

Dewdrop is a gentle and meaningful picture book with beautiful artwork and an enduring message. I love Katie O'Neill’s work and this book was just perfect. I can’t wait to see what she puts out next!

This is a sweet, short comic that's perfect for any age. Dewdrop is a helpful axolotl that helps his friends prepare for the sports fair. The artwork is gorgeous and colorful which is standard for Katie O'Neill's creations.

I got an ARC of this book.

I was approved for this book just a few moments ago. I immediately downloaded it and started reading it. O'Neill is one of my favorite creators for kids right now. I even have the card game based on one of her book series. I will eventually get the board game based on another book. 

I adore her art. Everything is amazingly cute. The color choices are just really appealing to me too. Who doesn't love cute talking creatures like Dewdrop? If you don't, I don't know if we could ever be friends. Dewdrop is amazingly adorable. The art alone makes this book enjoyable.

Dewdrop is a MALE who enjoys CHEERLEADING. Yes, that had to be in all caps. The stuff that shows that boys can like "girl" things is so few and far between. To see this book just do it without a second thought and without pointing it out is just magical. Dewdrop is that kid I wish I could see more of. He does what makes him happy and he treats people well. Imagine how much more fun recess would be if there were more Dewdrops around. 

The plot was cute enough. It wasn't as in-depth as some of O'Neill's other works, which is why it is a four star instead of a five star for me. I just expected a little bit more from O'Neill. 

Overall, the book was pretty wonderful. I enjoyed it and I would gladly share this with others. If you have any kids in your life or any fans of axolotls, then this might be a great fit for you. Give it a shot. Read all of O'Neill's stuff. Become a fan. It won't be difficult.

Like everything done by O'Neill the artwork and story as the most adorable thing ever, they have a very clear style that I absolutely love! I think it is fantastic that we are getting a younger picture book from them! I can not wait to get it and read it with my daughter!

Dewdrop was a delightful Children's book (best for ages 4+) showing the power of supportive friendship, practicing, and trying ones' best. I particularly loved the weightlifting turtle Mia (and the fact that she's coded as feminine with the flower adorning her head). The art is fantastic and so cute - people who love fish tanks and axolotls especially will enjoy this. Highly recommended.

This has to be one of the cutest things I've ever read!!! I love all of Katie O'Neill's work so I had no doubt that I would love this one as well. And I was right!! The illustrations are beautiful, the story is cute and lovely!! I can't wait to buy it.

Sweet and visually engaging. Perfect for kids attracted to Tea Dragons, but who aren't quite ready for the longer plots and more nuanced characterizations of those books. This book reminded me of 80's kids cartoons, whimsical, full of friends, and giving kids language to describe their own real-life experiences.

Really cute story about helping others by simply being a friend. A feel good story with adorable illustrations.

Is it my favourite thing I’ve read? No, but it’s a really sweet and wonderful story for children all about friendship and encouraging people.

I’d highly recommend to any children in your life, as it has such a lovely message.
