So cute!

Dewdrop is an adorable picture book from Katie O’Neill that lets young readers know that you can only please yourself. Coupled with it’s cute art style, Dewdrop communicates its sweet message in an easy to understand and entertaining story.

Returning again with her distinct art style, O’Neill wows readers with a beautifully panelled and paced story that will have you falling in love with the cute axolotl, Dewdrop. Far simpler than her previous work, Dewdrop is a short and sweet picture book

O’Neill tackles harder to understand concepts in a friendly manner, presenting readers with characters who are stressing too much, placing too much pressure on themselves, or experiencing self doubt. Dewdrop the carefree axolotl cheers the characters on, letting them know that through self confidence, trusting yourself, and going at your own pace, you can achieve what your goals.

I mean, look at the cute panel below. How could you not fall in love with Dewdrop, or O’Neill’s art style?!

RECOMMENDATION
I will always recommend Katie O’Neill because her work is not only cute and endearing but it has a beautifully subtle way of sharing its message.

Dewdrop is Katie O'Neill's middle grade little graphic novel about an axolotl and their friends who prepare for a sport festival. It is amazing how Katie O'Neill manages to have such important themes is such a small amount of pages. Even as an adult, it was still nice to be reminded that you don't have to be the best one there is,you just have to be better than you were before and the only person you should compete with is yourself. And of course the cute and colorful art style made this book even more adorable. This would definitely be enjoyable for little kids and adults.

This was such a cute short read! The art style is amazing and soso cute. This graphic novel is so happy and has such an amazing message. If I knew some children I wouldn't hesitate to buy them this! Amazing!!!

A gorgeous, beautiful tale with a great message and an adorable, admirable main character. I do wish there had been a little more text though.

This was an amazing little story with a lovely message and incredible art. If I had small children in my life I wouldn't hesitate to buy this so I could read this to them!

This is a very cute short story! The illustrations go well in helping the story along. Very good for younger readers.

Featuring Katie O'Neill's signature adorable characters, Dewdrop teaches us that we can do anything we put our hearts too, and to never give up. Dewdrop and friends are having a sports fair, but they are having trouble with their confidence. Dewdrop reminds them that all they need to do is believe in themselves. It's a sweet story with a great message. Sure to be a hit with the K-2 crowd!

I adore the art style in this book, its all so cute!. All the characters are so expressive and diverse, and the message is clear and empowering. I also love that it includes animals that are less often seen in children's books. Amphibians and reptiles are less often seen in kids books and I adore how theyre depicted!

Dewrop is the cutest axolotl (I can’t even pronounce it but who cares!) and he cares a lot about his friends. My son told me to pick this book to read because Dewdrop looked so cute. The art throughout the book is absolutely adorable and the story is sweet and heartfelt. The book is told in comic book style with the word bubble appearing when a character speaks. I love how Dewdrop helps his friends by encouraging them when they feel a little anxiety about their role in the sports fair. This book definitely resonates with my seven year old who needs encouragement to not give up when things get challenging.

This was one of the cutest things I've ever seen! Dewdrop is an adorable axolotl, joining her underwater friends in preparing for the annual Sports Fair. Each friend is preparing for a different role, and each friend is struggling...until the ever optimistic Dewdrop stops by to help them find their true potential and realize that they can't please everyone but should strive to do their personal best! What a great message for children :-)

OMG, a new Katie O'Neill, and this time a picture book! Of course I couldn't resist and I had to get it from Netgalley. Just look at that cover, that cutie is just asking you to read its book!

It is time for a competition and Dewdrop is eager to help out. As cheerleader! Yep. This little one goes fully for it. She helps out with everything, cheers up her friends in a wonderful Dewdrop way. Because yes, her friends need some motivation, they need some Dewdrop love. They see other competitors being much better, or they have just no inspiration for the competition. Dewdrop pops by all her friends and she was just so sweet and motivational that everyone was sparkling afterwards.

The sportsfestival was just wonderful and I was cheering for the animals participating in them. You can do it! Yep, I was cheerleading just as much as Dewdrop was! And then there was the really adorable ending that just had me go aww!

I just loved the art, but then again this is Katie O'Neill and I love love her work. She has a wonderful way with drawing/making art, the characters really come to life. Look at Dewdrop! Look at those adorable expressions on her and her friends. And then there are the backgrounds. So pretty!

All in all, this was such a gorgeous and fun book to read and I would highly recommend it to all. I am sure kids, and adults, will love it.

This was really cute, I love Katie O'Neill's artwork and this had such a sweet little moral story to it. It was very simple but it is for young children and thinking about the target audience I believe it was spot on. Even for older audiences it is wonderful, even though I did just want more :)

This was such a cute graphic novel. I liked the story and the art. I can’t wait to see what else the author comes up with in the future.

I feel like we do not deserve this book, it is just an incredibly pure story, so pure that my heart can't take it, it's like a big warm hug. I will always love Katie O'Neill's art, so beautiful and soft which makes you want to hug the characters so bad. And the moral of the story basically being "you can do it" and "do it for yourself" is just amazing. I love love love this book.

OMG!This is the cutest picture book ever! I'm a huge fan of Katie O'Neill and her artwork is just perfection. I think this picture book is great for children because it deals with friendship and how to overcome insecurities but in a really cute and age-appropriate way. Dewdrop is the cutests axolotl ever and a great main character. Great book for children with beautiful drawings.

An adorably illustrated book that is colorful without being garish. The sweet-spirited Dewdrop is a cheerleader for the town sports fair not only literally but in the sense of encouraging her neighbors who have self-doubts. Storyline is interesting and fun without being overly preachy (for the age level; third graders and up are likely to find it too obviously a "lesson") Just right for kids reading on grades 1-2 level; also a good read-to for preschoolers and kindergarteners. Recommended for school and public libraries.

Aww this was adorable! It's a children's book about a sports fair where everyone does what they do best, whether it's competing, writing a song, cheerleading or making food for the animals who go to the fair.

As we all do, the characters get a bit discouraged in the process, wondering if they're good enough, but Dewdrop's encouragement helps them find the confidence in themselves once again.

It's a really cute book and the art is very good (if you've read Katie O'Neill's previous books you'll know), and it has a lovely message. I definitely recommend it as a gift for young child (or why not, for yourself too).

The illustrations are beautiful and colorful, but that didn't surprise me at all, as I chose this book for its author, Katie O'Neill, who also wrote and illustrated The Tea Dragon Society and The Tea Dragon Festival I loved it. ^^

I love everything Katie O'Neill does! She excels at creating adorable characters who are both the softest cinnamon rolls and also passionate and caring. Dewdrop is a lovely story about supporting your friends and being yourself. I loved it!
