Everything from Erin Hahn is a hit for me! More Than Maybe was no exception with a 5 star rating from me.
If you’re looking for a sweet romance you’re in for a treat with More Than Maybe! Also, the music vibe is so good! There were twists I wasn’t expecting which made the story even better. I’ve read other books by this book and always enjoyed them and reading this one shows why she is a staple/go-to author you should have on your shelf!
Finally decided to pick this one up. I am determined to get through my arc backlog. This one is about two people who secretly have a crush on each other. Neither one knows. You have Luke who come from a rocker parent and has the voice of an angel and yet wants nothing to do with fame. Then you have Vada who has a five year plan to success.
He does a podcast at this bar she works at and his brother leaks Luke's song and it's a hit.. Only thing is it’s about Veda and wishes it was about her. They end up having to do a school project together and end up sending songs to each other like they are having a conversation. Which I love so much.
I do have to say Luke's dad made me mad and so did Vedas dad - though I do have daddy issues. Overall I loved this book. It is a quick read so I don’t know why it took me forever. Alas here I am thanking NetGalley for the ARC.
This was such a sweet read and definitely the first of many I will be reading by this author. I found all the characters relatable in their own way. The romance aspect was written so well.
This book has been on my TBR for years and I've been meaning to read it for just as long. And while it took me forever to get to I am happy to report I really enjoyed this one! Vada and Luke's romance was so sweet to read about and I loved seeing them connect with their love of music.
I thought both of their individual plots were interesting and developed well. Erin Hahn is great showcasing all different types of relationships. I loved both of their families and how the relationships were not perfect, but you can see the love there. I especially loved Vada's support for her mom's new relationship (I am lowkey too old to read about teens who don't support their parents as individuals even though I know it is not always accurate).
I'm realizing that I love books that deal with music and lyrics and how they serve for symbols for the characters and their emotions. Erin Hahn clearly loves music and is able to incorporate songs and original lyrics so well. I loved seeing the songs Luke and Vada shared with each other.
I can't wait to read Meg's book and see these characters again.
ALSO the audiobook was great and I enjoyed both narrators. It did take me a second to get used to Luke's British accent but once I was used to it I really enjoyed listening to this story.
Due to St. Martins Press refusal to address the remarks made by their employee regarding Palestine, I will not be reviewing this book.
This in no way has anything to do with the author. But I refuse to support anything from SMP because of their refusal to address a major issue at hand.
I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.
*** Thank you Netgalley for the e-arc in exchange for an honest review.***
I enjoyed this novel. I liked the story and the characters. I'm not a huge music fan but I did keep looking on YouTube listening to the songs that Luke and Vada texted each other back and forth.Their story was heartwarming. I think any Music lover would like this story.
I loved this book that took another look at the music industry in a fun, dark, complicated contemporary romance. I really love Hahn’s engaging and addictive writing style that kept me turning the pages.
This was such a cute read and totally appealed to the Elder Emo in me. I love it when books switch perspectives so we got to hear both Luke and Vada's sides of the story. And they're just so cute together, how could you not love them! YAs are sometimes a hit or miss for me, and this was definitely a hit! Thank you, NetGalley, for the ARC!

I just don't like YA romance! I couldn't connect to the characters and found them annoying.
I am sorry for the inconvenience but I don’t have the time to read this anymore and have lost interest in the concept. I believe that it would benefit your book more if I did not skim your book and write a rushed review. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience.
I loved everything about More Than Maybe. The writing was absolutely phenomenal and gave me all the feels. It’s perfect for any music lover because if the romance doesn’t get you, the songs and lyrics will. I don’t even know how to review this book to give it justice. Vada and Luke are adorable. In fact, I loved almost every character in this book. It wouldn’t have been the same without Luke’s twin, Cullen, Luke’s parents, or Vada’s mom and her boyfriend Phil. Everyone was so supportive. As far as the relationship, all the pining and longing and does she/he or doesn’t she/he was perfection for me. It absolutely typified all of that uncertainty in a teenage romance. And I loved that both Luke and Vada had plans for the future and were motivated to reach for their dreams. Shoutout to Ann Arbor, one of the places mentioned in the book, which is close enough to me that I see the weather report for it daily. Loved loved loved this one!
**Thank you to NetGalley, St. Martin’s Press and Erin Hahn. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All opinions are my own.***
I've been avoiding reviewing this one both on Goodreads and here because I was underwhelmed by the plot and disinterested in the protagonists.
Erin Hahn, understandably, is sure to become an auto buy author for many — including myself. She has a way of drawing you into the story and investing in the characters!
Cute story! I love the relationship Veda and Luke. It was so cute! The story was very real and you could tell that the author put a lot of thought into the character. I also love reading about kids in divorce situations because I was one of those kids.
I enjoyed this book. I enjoy music in romance stories. I feel like it always adds another level. Vada and Luke are adorable. I love the name Vada it is so unique. I love when the character has a plan and the boy always throws it off. If you like sweet young love stories then this book is for you!!!

♡ Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. I voluntarily chose to review it and the opinions contained within are my own.
I liked More Than Maybe. I liked that the main characters were already in love but didn't tell each other. I'm a sucker for characters with a British accent. The two POVs were well done. It was fast-paced and calming to read
After sitting on this book for so long, I’ve just come to realize that it’s time to let it go and continue. Maybe in the future I will come back but for right now it’s going to be a DNF @30
