I enjoyed this book from the outset. It’s a quick page turner and keeps you wondering which direction the story will take next. The mystery of “what happened to Lizzie Burdett” was intriguing and I was always guessing as to who the real villain was. However, when the truth was finally revealed I wasn’t expecting it all …… I love a surprising twist!
I adored two of the central characters, Noah and Alice. They have their own secrets, but their emotional love story really shines through. You find yourself hoping their love really will overcome all the secrecy, mystery and family betrayals which threatens to undo them.
I loved how this novel managed to combine mystery with the drama of complicated family relationships. This is the first book I have read by Sara Foster and I loved her style of writing, I can’t wait to read her others.

This was an interesting story with multiple POV and multiple story lines. However, I read it only two weeks ago, and when I went to write my review today, I had to refresh my memory about this book. It didn't have anything unforgettable. It was a good book with good writing, but nothing that just grabbed me,.

I do want to thank the publisher and #netgalley for the advance copy which did not impact my review (obviously)

3.5 Stars. I enjoyed this book and it was a quick and gripping read. I loved the surprising twist at the end. The only struggle I had was how quickly Noah and Alice’s relationship developed. I had a hard time accepting it for the first half of the book. Overall, however, I really enjoyed the story and was pleased with the ending.

This is a good beachy type read that you don't have to invest silence in to understand it or follow the storyline. Worth a read but nothing that was really standing out for me to recommend it as more than that. This was my first book by this author and I may look into her other books when I run out of things to read, but it will more be a hey, this is an easy book to grab to take my mind off the waiting room.
Noah met Alice n Thailand and is immediately smitten. She looks so much like his brother's girlfriend who disappeared years ago. That's not weird at all.... Their tryst ends and he returns home to where his brother is facing an inquest into the disappearance of Lizzie. The family secrets are complicated and the Lizzie look alike Alice reappearing back in his hometown, doesn't help matters. It was easy to guess the secrets and who all was involve, but over all it was a decent storytelling.

Secrets destroy relationships. What if you had a secret that involved murder and mayhem would you tell anyone? Would you live in the fear if anyone knew the truth about you? Meeting new people can sometimes be a good thing or bad thing. You can't trust everyone. This book proves that wow!

Interesting character study - do you uncover the truth after so many years., even if it can destroy all around.? Good thriller, my first read by this author. Well written and well paced.

I couldn't get into this book. It t seemed to take a long time to get to the main story and I couldn't muster up interest in either Noah or Alice..

I found this book to be just OK. It centers around Noah, who was in love with his brother's girlfriend, Lizzie, that vanished 12 years ago, and Alice, a woman with secrets of her own that he meets on vacation in Thailand. An inquest is scheduled to investigate Lizzie's disappearance, and Noah returns home from his trip, where the reader learns a lot around the family dynamics,

This book read more like a romance novel than a thriller to me, with much of the dialogue centered around Noah and Alice's love affair. There was a mystery around Lizzie's disappearance, which gets solved, though for me, this caused more questions. Otherwise, the secret Alice is keeping is pretty easy to figure out, and the rest of the book is around their relationship. I am not a fan of romances and likely wouldn't have picked up the book if I had known that this would be such a big part of the premise, but I do think the author did a good job in building out Alice and Noah's characters to be believable and flawed, while still likable. I thought it was a little odd that Noah was still harboring an obsession with Lizzie, who his brother dated for 7 months when Noah was 15, 12 years later- she didn't necessarily seem like a big enough part of his life for him to be THAT obsessed after all that time. I particularly liked Alice, though- she seemed very real and insightful to me.

The ending was a little unsatisfying, but left me hanging in a way that I will think about it later, which is likely what the author was going for.

All in all, I think this book is worth a read if you are looking for a relationship novel tied together with a mystery. Thanks to Netgalley for providing me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Very interesting read. It follows two characters, Noah and Alice, young lovers, each with tragic pasts that they keep hidden. Although this sounds rather melodramatic, the story is beautifully shaped and intriguing. YOU DON'T KNOW ME made me want to read other books by Foster.

A young woman, the love interest of two brothers disappears. Tom Caruso was Lizzie’s boyfriend, but his brother Noah loved her from afar. When Lizzie disappeared, Tom left town not long after, leaving many in town to wonder whether he had something to do with her disappearance. Now, years later, Tom is back for the official inquest into his former girlfriend’s disappearance. At the same time Noah meets and falls for Alice Pryce; but both Noah and Alice have secrets that could destroy everyone and everything they hold dear.

I received this arc from goodreads in exchange for my honest review. Where to begin.. This book had so many plot holes in it. I honestly enjoyed the mystery aspect of what happend to Lizzie but for one why the hell was Noah so obsessed with her. His brothers girlfriend. She was nothing to him yeah he liked her but for 12 years after her disappearance he is still crazily obsessed. Makes no sense. What also makes no sense is how the dad killed her. Okay so he gave her a ride home right but if she lived within an hour of walking you figure its a 30 min or leas car ride so why the hell did she have to get out of the car to go to the bathroom in the first place?!? This book just did not do it for me at all. Too many plot holes and why the hell did the author write that.
