I enjoyed this uplifting book that gave ways to live each day with positivity - which is not easy to do when faced with so many challenges. The book contains over 30 chapters with activities that can be used to help with achieving your goals which is a really insightful guide that I would recommend everyone to read.

I must say the cover really drew me in. Wonderful self-help book with many tips to become and stay more positive in daily life. The tips are divided into topics like home and work. They are easy to follow and practical.

The style of the book is quite quirky. (Talking about fonts and illustrations) Either you will love it, or you don't. It's not really my thing, but it's about the message.

"There's something worth striving for that can be even better than happiness....And that is being what I call "positively present".

A cute, happy book full of practical tips on how to live a more fulfilling life by being positive and present in the moment. There are five sections in the book: Home, Work, Relationships, Love and Change. I found fascinating and very useful the last chapter on how to deal with Change as I couldn't have read it in a better time! (March 2020)
A practical book that you will pick up again and again for some inspiration and motivation!

If ever we're in need of some everyday optimism, it's now, as most of us find ourselves unexpectedly at home for the foreseeable future.

The premise of this book is that it's unrealistic to expect full in happiness and joy every single moment of every single day, but that by being 'positively present' we can learn to be grateful and appreciative of all the good things in our lives, even when things may not seem wonderful.

There are some nice practical tips for being positively present in different areas of life - I paid particular attention to the section on dealing with unexpected change! The list at the end of 52 ways to be positively present was also appealing. I did find it quite repetitive though, and most of it is common sense.

I'd say it's more a useful guide to dip in and out of as you feel you need a bit of support, rather than a book you'd want to read in one sitting.

In my opinion this is a book best fitted to people who are well established in life, who have been working for a while and live a fairly independent life. College students and younger adults won’t really benefit from it.
I really enjoyed the more design focused pages because they fit well with how simplistic the content was. This was by no means a life-changing book. It contains a lot of basic information that can be found all over the internet in a more concise manner and by the end of it the book got pretty repetitive. That being said, it was a fun and relaxing read.

Everyday Optimism by Dani DiPirro is a fantastic guide to being, as she calls it, "positively present." This is the name of her personal mission -and blog-- and while I haven't read any of DiPirro's writing, I do love seeing her artwork on Instagram. Having a mindful and positive outlook is something I believe in and am always trying to do better in my everyday life, and this book is the perfect read for someone wishing to gain momentum in this area or see overall positive changes in their life.

This book is filled with practical advice on how to live "positively present" in every area of your life, from home to work, to relationships. There are so many exercises that you can start with immediately, and there are great online resources on the blog to print and work on as well. One of the main things that impede change for many seems to be not knowing where to start and not knowing how to take the first step, so it is great to see such realistic ideas.

The format is also logical and flows easily, while all circling back to the two words that started it all. This a wonderfully cheerful and insightful book that will be a great guide to anyone who could benefit from being more in the moment, and having a happier life as a byproduct of the mindset shift. I can't recommend this book highly enough, and I'm sure I'll be referring back to it often.

Many thanks to Watkins Publishing and NetGalley for the advance copy.

This book is perfect for someone like me. I’m naturally a positive person, I’m not unrealistic; but I do lubbers to see the good in situations and this book helps to reassure me that I’m doing the best I can. It’s always important to have those reminders. Everyday might not be great, but there is something great in everyday. I enjoyed the upbeat message this book gave and I would highly recommend it for people who aren’t sure how to maintain positivity. For those people who have no idea where to start at simplifying their lives. Great read!

3.8 STARS

I’m very into positive self-help books occasionally; it helps balancing my thoughts after reading some heavy books.
This book is good for people that are seeking a more positive life, starting to read self-help book. It’s very simple and direct. And in my opinion, that’s how this kind of book needs to be; otherwise, it can get tiring and bring the opposite results you’re seeking for.

The book starts with the concept that happiness is temporary, and we’re always seeking for it in material stuff. The author introduces ideas in order to accomplish the kind of happiness that lasts. And you get it from being positive and present.

The author breaks down each chapter into everyday situations and ideas for keeping the positivism in each field of your life.

We all know we should feel grateful and love ourselves. This advice is everywhere. But sometimes in our everyday life, we forget about it and we need a little something to remind us to be more positive. I think this book is it.
To me, nothing is this book was new, but it’s only because I’m used to reading positive stuff and I try to be grateful every day. But I know not everyone is like that. So, if you’re someone new to the idea, if you’re trying to change your mindset, this book is for you.
