Thank you to the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book. I had no idea that this was written by @postivelypresent until downloading the book. I love everything on her instagram so that made this ten times more exciting to read. I really enjoyed her main underlying principles for being positive and applying them to my life does not seem too complicated.

This book is perfect for someone like me. I’m naturally a positive person, I’m not unrealistic; but I do lubbers to see the good in situations and this book helps to reassure me that I’m doing the best I can. It’s always important to have those reminders. Everyday might not be great, but there is something great in everyday. I enjoyed the upbeat message this book gave and I would highly recommend it for people who aren’t sure how to maintain positivity. For those people who have no idea where to start at simplifying their lives. Great read!
Everyday Optimism by Dani DiPirro offers practical advice to readers for all aspects of life in a simple and easy-to-follow format. The principles outlined and detailed in the book are accessible and things that the reader can apply to their lives immediately for maximum optimism. Based on the Instagram account of @positivelypresent, I expected unique and wonderful graphics—but they are missing from this book. Overall, it is a book for readers looking for practical ways to boost their positively.
I hadn’t heard of the author of this book prior to reading it, but looked up her Instagram and find it to be a great resource for positivity. This book has lots of tips that are actually manageable to apply to your normal, everyday life without putting forth a lot of effort.
Everyday Optimism by Dani DiPirro is a fantastic guide to being, as she calls it, "positively present." This is the name of her personal mission -and blog-- and while I haven't read any of DiPirro's writing, I do love seeing her artwork on Instagram. Having a mindful and positive outlook is something I believe in and am always trying to do better in my everyday life, and this book is the perfect read for someone wishing to gain momentum in this area or see overall positive changes in their life.
This book is filled with practical advice on how to live "positively present" in every area of your life, from home to work, to relationships. There are so many exercises that you can start with immediately, and there are great online resources on the blog to print and work on as well. One of the main things that impede change for many seems to be not knowing where to start and not knowing how to take the first step, so it is great to see such realistic ideas.
The format is also logical and flows easily, while all circling back to the two words that started it all. This a wonderfully cheerful and insightful book that will be a great guide to anyone who could benefit from being more in the moment, and having a happier life as a byproduct of the mindset shift. I can't recommend this book highly enough, and I'm sure I'll be referring back to it often.
Many thanks to Watkins Publishing and NetGalley for the advance copy.
"There's something worth striving for that can be even better than happiness....And that is being what I call "positively present".
A cute, happy book full of practical tips on how to live a more fulfilling life by being positive and present in the moment. There are five sections in the book: Home, Work, Relationships, Love and Change. I found fascinating and very useful the last chapter on how to deal with Change as I couldn't have read it in a better time! (March 2020)
A practical book that you will pick up again and again for some inspiration and motivation!
