Great diet book for those on the run. The recipes are simple easy to make on the go and taste great. Nothing fancy here but definitely has what you need to stay on track with a busy lifestyle.

This cookbook had some really great recipes. The recipes were easy to understand and not too complicated for the average cook. I enjoyed the illustrations and look forward to making these recipes for years to come.

Some delicious easy recipes to help with both weight loss and meal prep. I actually bought this one in paperback to keep in my kitchen.

Many thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

Have you wanted to meal prep but been afraid to try because the process seems daunting? This is a great book to follow because the meal plans gradually get you up to all day preps (there’s a week plan for breakfasts only, then breakfast plus lunch, etc). There’s a simplified explanation of the benefits of prepping to also help ease one into it.

While there are almost no photos, the book makes up for it in the things it does include. There are nutritional breakdowns for each serving size, storage tips for each recipe individually, and many recipes include a variation so that you can personalize your plan to suit your needs and wants.

This book was helpful. My mother in law and I have been trying to eat better and I am terrible at food prep. If I don't prep before, I end up just going through a drive thru. This had several options that were anywhere between easy and semi easy to make. And most of them didn't take up most of my day. So all in all, this was a helpful book.

If you are looking for a cookbook with interesting recipes and some attention paid to calories, this title is worth a look.  As is generally the case, there are recipes for the three meals of the day along with a section on snacks and dips.  For breakfast there are sweet potato hash egg cups, peaches and cream overnight oats and chocolate banana buckwheat cupcakes, to name a few.  For lunch we have Greek Salad with Chickpeas and Quinoa, Cobb Salad in a Jar and Veggie Wontons Over Crunchy Slaw, among others.  Dinner includes General Tso's Tofu and Vegetable SheetPan Bake, and Garlicky Pasta with Ground Turkey and White Beans along with quite a few others.  The directions are easy to follow and the recipes look tasty.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title in exchange for an honest review.

LOW-CALORIE MEAL PREP COOKBOOK by Nicole Hallissey sounds like a great idea. I browsed this cookbook in early January prior to its publication and made a note of recipes like Spicy Turkey Burgers with Crunchy Asparagus. Both prep time and cook time are noted. I intended to return to this book, but unfortunately, I am now unable to access it and am therefore giving it a neutral review of three stars.

I'm still not converted to the prep ahead mode of cooking, but I really did enjoy the recipes in this cookbook nonetheless. For those who want to learn how to prep meals ahead, this is a great guide. The last part of the book has schedules and instructions for organizing the prep of several meals at a time. It seems really well constructed and easy to follow. Likewise, the recipes are simple to follow, with added suggestions for storage and substitutions. There are a lot of Mediterranean-based dishes, which adds to the health benefits. They range from sheet pan meals to salads in a jar. A few examples: Tuscan Vegetable Barley Soup, Greek Salad in a Jar, Tuna Hummus Pita Pockets. The photographs provided made me want to make each of the items. Though it would be nice to have more photos, at least an adequate number have been provided here. I'd highly recommend this book.

Combines meal prep planning and structures for menus, grocery lists, and helpful tips with easy recipes that will definitely stretch for the whole week. I already tried the chicken tortilla soup and it was amazing. Super helpful and informative, especially perhaps for a beginner who hasn't put a lot of thought into the organization and planning that meal prep can take. And so many good recipes to try!

I love this book! It has great healthy recipes from breakfast to dinner. Recipes such as baked oatmeal cups, mango chia pudding, cobb salad in a jar, steak sheet pan fajitas, and mango salsa.
The author wrote this with personality instead of it being just a cookbook. She teaches the importance of meal prepping with the proper containers. She also breaks down meal planning in three weeks with recipes and the ingredients needed for when it's time to go grocery shopping.
I'm currently on the 21-day fix and this book is a great resource for when I'm planning out my meals for the week.

Overall this was a great meal prep book with lots of good recipes. There were some unique storage ideas for the meal prep.

The only thing I didn’t like was the organization of the book. I may have liked it better if I had a hard copy but with the digital copy, it was hard to flip around in. The author put all the recipes at the beginning of the book and at the end divided the recipes into weeks with their shopping list.

I received this galley from NetGalley.

I've always been a cookbook fanatic. I enjoy collecting them and have shelves full of various ones. I've been trying to be healthier with my meal choices. So, when I saw this Low-Calorie Meal Prep Cookbook, I knew I wanted a chance to review it.

The recipes are not only healthier but also put forth in a way that makes it easier to consciously make better food choices. The book provides great tips for meal prepping and its many advantages. I'm literally in love with this book and many of the recipes. I'm thrilled to have had a chance to review it.

I'm most looking forward to making the Deconstructed Egg Roll in a Jar and the Cajun Shrimp Lettuce Wraps.

Thanks to the publisher for an ARC to read book and give my honest opinion.

Am I the only weirdo that loves to read cookbooks? This is an honest to goodness book on meal prepping along with some fabulous recipes that I’m just giddy over. It’s an easy manual with a guide plan to help introduce you to meal prepping that looks enjoyable and fun. I work three days in a row then three off, and I struggle to eat right those three days I’m working. Instead going for fast food which has added a few pounds to my waistline, I’m looking at meal prepping instead of leftovers as a way to get through those working hours. Leftovers aren’t that great. Plus as an added bonus this book will help you cut down food costs by stocking up on staples and it basically uses stuff already in your cabinet.

What did I like? The easy, no guess meal plan. Plus two of my faves are in this book, sweet potatoes, and bruschetta.... can’t go wrong. You had me at Bruschetta ❤️. I also like that this meal prepping gives you clues how to keep stuff separate to avoid sogginess, and how to keep stuff fresh like avocado which starts turning brown after you cut it.

Would I buy or recommend? Yes, this was very enjoyable. Not only had new to me recipes but it’s low calorie, and looks super easy. I will definitely be buying a paper copy to store in my kitchen. I love paper copies when it comes to cookbooks.

Thoughts for the author? Loved this cookbook.... thank you so much for extending a copy. I can’t wait to try those sweet potatoes with bananas and syrup. Kudos to a great idea!

So many recipes that are easy to follow. Towards the back of the book they slowly roll you into meal prepping. Meal prepping day can be overwhelming if you’re doing it all at once and it’s been a while or it’s your first time. I found this to be a newbie-friendly. I just wish there were more photos (even if they were small or there was a collage of photos on one page) because I usually pick my recipes and cookbooks based off images. It helps me see if I made the recipe correct or it makes my mouth water, so I know I have to make that.
