This is a cute and funny story about a cat who wakes up with a cone. Jeremy is very, very unhappy about this until...Yes, there are many ways that the cone can be useful. It is useful enough that, for a moment, Jeremy misses the cone when it is removed.
Jeremy is very much like a young child; he likes to get into things and does not always consider the consequences. Still, he can be made so happy by the small things that to him are big.
This is an adorable story for cat lovers both old and young. The illustrations add to the reader's experience and are very well done.

Cone Cat is a cute picture book about a cat who finds a benefit of wearing the dreaded cone. As the owner of a cat who loves drinking the last milk from a cereal bowl, I can relate to this book. The story is short and the illustrations are cute. This would make a great storytime book.
Jeremy the cat is displeased by his cone, fearing that his days of fun are over. That is, until he discovers that his cone makes him capable of some cunning feats! A very cute picture book.
I admit I fell a little in love with this book when Jeremy the cat declares dramatically “I am Cone Cat now ... I will never be the same.”
Cone cat presents the adorable antics of a cat stuck in the most unenviable position of having a cone around his head. The illustrations are fun, and I enjoyed watching Jeremy figure out the bright side of having a cone on his head.
This book seems likely to bring giggles, and is a fantastic addition to cat stories for children.

Let me start by saying that I am not really a cat person. I love dogs but THIS cat had me laughing from the beginning to the end of the book. If you've ever had a pet you will recognize the plight of poor Jeremy who wakes up in the vet's office to find himself with a plastic cone on his head, bending his whiskers and blocking his view. It puts him in a funk and changes him into Cone Cat. Day to day life just isn't the same. Then suddenly one day it gets better. Read to find out how.
I highly recommend this book for families that love to laugh. The publisher states this picture book is ideal for ages 3-7. As a grandmother and teacher, well beyond this age span, I have a good excuse to read books in this category. Even if you don't have an excuse pick up this book and have a good laugh.
This is on my list for purchase, a book guaranteed to tickle the funny bones of kids and adults alike
This is a cute picture book that my boys (8 and 6) enjoyed. The cone of shame - as we have always called it when one of our pets have had to use it. The illustrations are beautifully done. Cone Cat is not happy that he can not do the things that he was used to. He learns to adapt. He temporarily enjoys it. The illustrations are beautifully done. I love the underlying lesson - it's so comforting given the current COVID pandemic. The lesson is - sometimes you have to find the positive in a negative situation.
We enjoyed this book.
We received a copy of this book through Netgalley - all thoughts are my own.
This was a fun and silly read about a day in the life of a cat who has to wear the cone of shame, but still manages to have a good time with it. It was fast paced and an easy, enjoyable read.
Lovely illustration style, but the story wasn't quite for me. I felt as if the writing had some overall issues with its flow.

Jeremy the cat is caught in a predicament. He isn't sure how to handle it, but then realizes that it's not such a bad thing. I think this is an easy book to relate to for all ages. I sure plan on reading it to my fourth graders for social-emotional learning on how to deal with situations you may be stuck in.
This was a super cute and fun little story that I think kids will definitely enjoy. My five year old sure did!
My daughter and I loved this story. We really enjoy books about cats and this was a great one. Jeremy the cat wakes up with a cone around his head. At first he’s not to happy about it but quickly learns it has its advantages. Very cute read with beautiful illustrations. We hope to see more of Cone Cat in the future! This is a cute little picture book that cat-loving kids are likely to enjoy about a cat who wakes up with a cone on and has to learn to navigate life around it. He eventually finds some reasons to actually like it (though it is temporary), giving a little lesson in looking for the bright side. My daughter had fun with it and I really liked the art.
I read a temporary digital ARC of this book for the purpose of review.
Cute adventures of a cat that finds a silver lining in wearing a cone. This would be a fun storytime book.
Absolutely adorable and relatable...especially to cat owners or anyone feeling trapped. Making the best of a not so good situation...I love it!
This book is absolutely adorable and shows how a cat can make the most of a difficult situation.
Cone cat is upset that he is unable to do the things he once could due to his cone, however he quickly learns that his cone can be used as a tool to get what he wants! My favorite part of this book is that the illustrator was able to create Cone Cat's expressions perfectly with the story!
I would recommend this to children and adults because it is just too cute!
Thank you NetGalley and Owlkids books for this ARC!
A great example of how to make a not so good situation into a great situation. Cone cat knew how to look at the cup half full!

Cone cat got me from the start. The cat's expression cracked me up and his shenanigans were the stuff of legends!
Come Cat would have been a fun silly book but unfortunately we review on our kindles so this book wasn’t possible to read. It was scrambled.
