After drawings introversion in Quiet Girl in a Noisy World and about book lovers in Book Love, in Happily Ever After & Everything in Between, Debbie Tung is illustrating her married life. As in her previous books, I related a lot to the author and her love life with her husband, even if I’m not married. It does echo to some of the drawings present in Quiet Girl since her introversion is present in her relationship.

Overall, as with all Debbie Tung’s books, I really enjoyed the illustrations and the scenes. I will keep reading her comics.

Debbie Tung is slowly becoming one of my favorite illustrators ever! I always feel so warm and cozy when I read her comics and I'm so grateful that I sometimes snag early copies of her books!

Happily Ever After is the next one in her slice-of-life comic books that depict everyday moments in her marriage. It's cute as fuck and it makes me want to go find the biggest stuffed toy in the world and cuddle with it. It was very reminiscent of Snug, for me, but they're also really different at the same time and idk if it even makes any sense but that's just how it is.

Also, can I just say that her art style is super adorkable?! I love the inky style so so so much! As always, what a pleasure to read her book!

Huge thanks to Netgalley for the advanced copy! I LOVE YOU, NETGALLEY!

Alternating between sweet and funny, this collection of comics shows the positives of a relationship. An uplifting books for troubled times. My only hiccup was the shading of grays sometimes made the writing hard to read; however, that could have been due to the computer I was reading it on and the paper copy will not have that issue.

Touching and relatable without being too mushy. The author has an acute eye for observation and notices the little things that are the glue in a long-term relationship. A lovely book.

I absolutely love Debbie Tung and her work. Author of what accounts to some of the most relatable graphic novels and comics that I have ever read, she now returns with a wonderfully gripping and amusing book featuring the things we experience within our relationships. Using her own marriage as inspiration, Tung delights readers with a plethora of fantastic and hilarious tidbits from her own relationship. I loved every moment of reading this book and couldn't help comparing Tung's artwork to my own relationship.

Tung's style never ceases to blow me away. She continues to impress me with the adorable nature of both her art and her storytelling. In fact, certain stories were so relatable in such a real way that even my boyfriend, who has never cared much for what I read, had a few good giggles when I showed him. Happily Ever After & Everything in Between is very much one of my most appreciated slice of life graphic novels.

I can say this much for this novel and Tung's previous Book Love that I've read before: they're both utterly amazing. I can't wait to see what she comes out with net.

This was a cute quick read that felt very realistic. Even though the illustrations were simple, I was surprisingly touched by some of the messages they conveyed. This would make a great present for a partner or someone in a long-term relationship, and I can’t wait to read the author’s eventual book about parenting.

I downloaded this before I realized that I couldn't read it on my Kindle. I tried to open the document but just couldn't get it to go. Cute cover though and description sounds fun!

A slice of married life collection of comics, this collection shows everyday scenes of this couple. My first read of Debbie Tung's work, this was a light, fun, sugary sweet collection. The collection felt like a heartfelt love letter to her husband. I liked the art style, especially the scenes set at night. While the cartoons were relatable they were not very insightful or interesting which made this collection a bit forgettable for me.

Debbie Tung's books are cute and quiet, and this one in particular is an adorable love letter to her new husband. Perfect for a pleasant read on a rainy day.

Just like her previous works, this book is ADORBS!!!
I love the way she illustrates; not too comic-ly with a dash of whimsy.
Although I prefer her first two books, this book was short and sweet. I also love the fact that each book gave us a glimpse of the author's life.

Thank you to Netgalley for the eArc in exchange for an honest review.

Debbie Tung’s third delightful & insightful book! The best gift books ever: this one is for newlyweds or married couples still saying “I love you!” Her 2nd book, Book Love, is the perfect gift for your friend who loves books but seems to have already read everything... And her first book, Quiet Girl, is the present for the friend you love but can never get to go anywhere there might be other people. All of Debbie’s work says, & shows you why, “Wow, humans are so quirky & loveable...”

Debbie Tung is laugh aloud, tear up a bit, smile to yourself reading: buy, stock, handsell, gift, recommend, reorder any & all Debbie Tung titles & make people happy. It’s really that easy.

A delightful series of comics that captures the humor and fun of early married life. Most couples will identify and while maybe not trailblazing definitely funny and full of heart.

This book was so sweet. I’m not married or in a relationship, but this book makes me really excited to be. I think it really captures the little moments that are so important and in my opinion, those little things can really make or break a relationship. It doesn’t have all these bug romantic gestures because sometimes love is just eating McDonald’s together at home rather than going out to a fancy restaurant.

Such a cute and heartwarming comic that captures the everyday moments and magic of everyday love. Debbie Tung has done it again!

Sometimes I just need a break from a normal chapter book, especially when I’m in a reading slump, and when that happens I turn to graphic novels. The art in this book is simplistic in black and white with little detail in the background (most of the time) which I like because it focuses the reader to the words and the two people that this is really about. The book provided snapshots of a newly married couple’s life through humor and realistic situations. I am not married, nor ever have been, so in a lot of ways I can’t relate to this book completely. I still greatly enjoyed this read and think anyone in a relationship, whether it’s romantic or family relationships, can appreciate how real the author is about the simplistic joys found from another, the annoying habits we all have, the inevitable fights, and the importance of unconditional love from those in your life.

I finished this book in one sitting, maybe too quick a read, and immediately ordered her other book “Book Love” to help me get through my next reading slump. Thank you Netgalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for allowing me to read this arc in exchange for my honest opinion. The publish date for this book is June 2, 2020.

Happily Ever After is such a sweet series of comics. Readers will adore spending time with this couple as they live together and negotiate their relationship. Many of the strips offer a glimpse of the universals in relationships and many made me smile. This couple could serve as a model for all of us as we try to live well together while confined. Definitely worth a look.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title in exchange for an honest review.

Another great book Debbie! Her books do well in our store and I look forward to adding this to the shelf. I can always relate to her drawings and like the others, this one was no exception. I have known for a bit that this was coming out and I made sure to mention to my librarian friend that it was on Netgalley

I"m in love with this author's books. I have read the other two and I was so excited when I saw this. Her comics are so relatable and funny. I always have to screenshot some of them and share them with friends on how I love them. I love this one and I will give it 5 stars. There are so many cute and funny moments. I just can't stop reading her books. Thank you to netgallery for this amazing read. I recommend everyone to read this one and her other books.

First of all, let me say that Happily Ever After is VERY cute. If you're in a long-term relationship, I'm certain there will be at least a few comics in this collection that will make you smile, maybe even go "awwww!" That said, having read two other of Debbie Tung's books, I was really disappointed overall in this book. The other two were so humorous and cute and fun, that I was surprised by how much of this was just sort of "slice of life"-feeling with a little sweetness — no real humor or fun shining through like I expected to find. If this was your first introduction to Tung's work, I totally recommend checking out one of her earlier books, as I think they were much more lovable! I'll definitely pick up her next release and I don't regret reading this one, it just wasn't what I hoped it would be.
