Kiss My Cupcake was romantic,funny ,sweet and light!It's exactly what I needed!I had a smile in my face, these two were fantastic.Sexy,funny, and I love their banter!
Blaire and Ronan have a sizzling chemistry, and there are plenty of swoon moments!I adored them, from the beginning till the end!
Loved it, it was fast paced,fun and heartwarming!
Kiss My Cupcake by Helena Hunting was so adorable. Like beyond adorable. First of all, my favorite place to go in Buffalo is a cupcakery so this book was perfect for me.
This rom-com is an enemies to lovers romance with dual POV. I just loved the flirty banter between Blaire and Ronan. It was especially fun when they were in the enemies stage. They were both very likable characters and I wish I could go to each of their establishments lol. Ronan eating the cupcakes always made me smile (read it and you’ll see what I mean).
This was an enjoyable read. I hope you’ll check it out when it’s released August 11.
Thanks to @netgalley and @forever for providing me with an e-ARC in exchange for a honest review.
I loved Meet Cute so this was a must read for me. I thought it was adorable. I loved the tension from the first meet cute between Ronan and Blaire. I loved their banter and their pranks. I really enjoyed both of their ambition and drive and that was leveled up when they were on the same side. I really liked that it was an easy and fun read. I was in a slump and it was just the right book to get me reading again.
I absolutely recommend this book! Kiss My Cupcake is a laugh at loud romance. The characters are so adorable and I absolutely loved them. Blaire is a chef who loves to make cupcakes and is growing her business. She started in the market selling, then went to a food truck and now she’s opened her new store front store. Her best friend is helping her with pics and social media and has her own down the street. What Blaire wasn’t ready for was a hot lumberjack looking guy who was building an axe bar next to her shop. Ronan is helping run his grandpa’s bar while saving money for his own brewery and he’s enjoying teasing his new neighbor. Blaire is like the pinup classy girl next door but she has a lot of surprises for Ronan. She’s feisty and not willing to let anything mess with her business. This book will have you crying from laughter and shaking your head at the crazy. I loved it and you will too. Five stars ⭐️ !
Another amazing rom com by this author. Adorably sweet with some sexiness and laughs thrown in. Loved Blaire and Ronan's enemies to friends to lovers banter throughout the whole book and the secondary characters as well. After reading this book I need to find where to get these cupcakes as I was drooling through at least half of this one!
****4.5 stars**** I got an advanced copy from Netgalley for an honest review. Wow. I have to say this one surprised me. I was expecting an okay read, but what I got was something that was a little bit more complex. The story is about two bar/restaurant owners working side by side. There is some conflict in the beginning but they end up working together nicely. I would call this enemies to lovers light. The story was a little on the flowery side but kept my interest throughout. I laughed out loud several times. I will say there were some odd family dynamics that were a bit crazy but it didn't dampen the story. I finished this story in one day, it was that good. The end was a bit cheesy and a little too happily ever after but overall this story was a great one. Highly recommend.
This was exactly the story I needed. Perfect light and cheery enemies to lovers, delicious cupcakes and craft beer, super steamy connection that makes for great light smut, a smidge of misunderstanding that doesn’t cause unnecessary drama. Just truly perfect and light, like a cupcake! Oh also, I truly identified with Blaire’s ensemble choices.
Pardon my pun, but this was super sweet! I loved how much Ronan admired the love story of his grandparents and wanted that for himself with Blaire, even through all the pranks, nicknames, and broken unicorn martini glasses. I also loved Blaire’s determination to make her small business succeed, without the help and control of her well off family. This is a fun, light-hearted, enemies to lovers rom com that is perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth

Blaire Calloway has planned every Instagram-worthy moment of her cupcake and cocktails shop launch down to the tiniest detail. But she didn’t plan on Ronan Knight and his old-school sports bar The Knight Cap next door opening on the very same day…sparks and cupcake sprinkles fly as Blaire and Ronan initially compete with each other and later are forced to work together to battle a new rival business that’s moved in across the street...
Reasons to add this to your summer reading list:
🧁 I mean, come on, it’s a book about cupcakes;
🧁 Blaire bakes the world a better place one cupcake at a time. She’s a real fun character with a quirky 50s style dress sense. I admired her confidence, entrepreneurial spirit and business savviness 💃🏼;
🧁 Ronan totally won me over when he nailed a question about the 7 Polyjuice Potion ingredients during a Harry Potter trivia night;
🧁Cupcakes, cupcakes, cupcakes - I craved them for days after finishing this. Come for the cupcakes, stay for the sexual cupcake innuendo 😏 All I’ll say is that Blaire and Ronan gave buttercream and custard a WHOLE different meaning 😂
Overall, a fun summer rom-com!
Blaire, a bubbly woman who dress like she’s from Grease movie, wanted to be business-independent from her crazy family opened her own café/bakery, Buttercream and Booze.
Ronan, a hot HOT arrogant man (but loves his Gramps so much) who dress like sexy lumberjack, wanted his own brewery but ended up managing The Knight Cap offered by his Gramps, which has been in his family for generations.
Oh did I mention the two small businesses are right next to each other AND opened the same day? Well, let the competition begin.
If you enjoy enemies to lovers, you sure will enjoy this one. The fun banters, pranks, and cupcake sexual innuendos are the best! Blaire and Ronan trying to one up each other but at the same time ended up working together was very fun to read. Although at some point I did feel like there were dull moments or maybe I just have a lack of sense of humor. Since I’ve read quite a few of Hunting’s books, I couldn’t help myself to compare it. Not my favorite but still a fun fluffy romance read that is perfect for summer!
Prepare yourself to be hangry for some delicious cupcakes! Better yet, go bake some before reading this one. You have been warned 😂
Thank you @readforeverpub for providing me and my fellow romcom loving ladies an e-ARC of this book. 🥰
Kiss My Cupcake is about two small-business owners, Blaire and Ronan, who start off competing against each other for business and then slowly start working together to battle against a large chain that moves in across the street.
I am a sucker for an enemies-to-lovers storyline because it always has the BEST banter between the two lead characters and this book is no exception! Blaire and Ronan have incredible chemistry, the pacing is good and it isn’t too steamy (though there are a couple more vulgar parts, if that isn’t your thing).
This is a great romance novel for fans of the genre and my first from this particular author, though it definitely won’t be my last!
Thank you Forever Publishing and NetGalley for the free e-ARC in exchange for an honest review. Kiss My Cupcake is available August 11, 2020.
Helena did it again!!! Up there to the best book she has written!! A must read! I rate this 5 million stars! The best thing I have read all year!! Knocked it out of the ball park!!
Funny, sexy, witty, and just completely humorous, this book was such a joy to read. The characters are charismatic and standout. The dialogue is perfect, and the mix of funny and sexy is what makes the book spark and stand out. Very fun and easy read!
I've preached this before, but I love Helena Hunting's books. She is an auto-buy author for me and Kiss My Cupcake just proves why. This delicious story absolutely lived up to its adorable cover. I have literally always dreamed of having a bakery and I have also dreamed of dating a man as hot as Ronan, so this book really checks all of the boxes for me.... Blaire grew up with a very wealthy family in the restaurant business and could have easily transitioned into their business, but went out on her own and I respected her for that. Also loved her quirky style and no nonsense attitude when it came to dealing with her business. Ronan has been through a lot in life, was hardworking and oh so sweet with his grandfather. There were fun supporting characters and crazy family members adding to the fun. All of the amazing cupcake recipes had me hungry throughout! I adore an enemies to lovers story and this one fit the bill for me. It took a while for the story to get to the steam, but once it did, whew, it was hot! Highly recommend this one if you are a fan of enemies to lovers, hot guys, cupcake and/or booze.
Thank you Readforeverpub for gifting me a copy of this in exchange for my honest opinion!
This was cute and I was sucked in to reading it in one sitting. There were a few minor things I didn’t like - H’s weird commentary on political correctness, for one, but I was willing to look past those for a fun, enemies-to-lovers with bonus fake dating center, little romance. I’m definitely going to be checking out more of this author’s books!
With the opening day approaching the last thing Blaire needs is for the bar next door to start their renovations. When she goes next door to ask them to keep the noise and pounding down she never expected that there would be a spark between herself and Ronan Knight. But will this spark be one of hatred and competition or one of love, acceptance and cooperation? From the opening dialogue between Ronan and Blaire the reader can feel the underlying attraction and the enemies to lovers storyline gets better and better with each and every chapter. With sections that made me laugh out loud and with others that made be sigh with happiness this was an awesome book. Once again Helena Hunting does not disappoint!!
I’m so obsessed with this quirky and adorable rom-com! A sexy plaid-wearing lumberjack of a man with a big heart, an independent and driven heroine who dresses in poofy 50s dresses. The two are restaurant-owning rivals and it’s absolutely endearing. Their snarky banter has all the chemistry you could ask for- and *whew* is it fun to watch unfold. Thank you so much to Netgalley and Forever for approving me for a copy- I’m obsessed!
Funny and sweet with just enough heat. This was a fun, quick read. I enjoyed every delicious page.
Blair’s passion is in baking. Coming from a family of restauranteurs, she veered from that path and wanted nothing more than to succeed in her own cupcake business. Getting Buttercream & Booze up and running has been a challenge, and competition from next door’s bar is the last thing she needs, especially when the one who runs it is smoking hot. With Best Bar of the PNW is up for grabs and a chain restaurant enters the scene, Blair and Ronan join forces to bring more buzz to their businesses, but will sleeping with the enemy be a huge mistake?
Ha! All the sexual innuendos derived from cupcakes and the easy banter between Blaire and Ronan cracked me up. A little cheesy? Yeah sure, but this was a light and fluffy rom-com. Their one-upmanship turned alliance was predictable yet fun. The family dynamics were a nice element—Blaire’s was just straight-up cray and Ronan’s was sweet. My favorite supporting character though has got to be Gramps!
If you’re in the mood for a light summer read filled with booze and buttercream, be sure to check this one out! Clearly, I had to make cupcakes.
Kiss My Cupcake is SO. MUCH. FUN! Ronan and Blaire an absolute hoot. Their rivals to lovers story was well developed, which I appreciated because the insta-love thing gets old after a while.
This book is low on tension and conflict, but I like having a really light easy read like that from time to time. It was nice seeing characters that actually communicate with each other and therefore avoid a lot of that needless drama. There are pieces of the storyline that could have been delved into to create a little more depth, but that would have changed the tone of the book to something heavier than the super sweet (no pun intended), fun, light hearted story that it was.
I'm somewhat new to Helena Hunting's writing, but she's become a fast favorite. This isn't necessarily going to be a favorite for me, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, and it's absolutely one that I'll reread.
