Being familiar with Dr. Lipman's work I found many of his suggestions to be good reminders of information he has shared in the past. I have noticed a big shift in his dietary recommendations over the years. I do appreciate the fact that Dr. Lipman's work is based on extensive research and his own practice of the lifestyle he is sharing.

It was a well laid out simple plan to help you get through the aging process a little easier. While his ideas aren't new, they are put forth in a way that is simple for the average person to understand. There were suggestions of simple things that could help change the way a person ages as well as things that would take more time. If you are looking for a simple book on aging, this would be great to pick up since Dr. Lipman speaks to the person not to those with a medical degree.

I loved this book and found it immensely helpful. Dr. Lipman writes in a very easy way and gives great advice. Most of it wasn't new to me, but this is probably my favorite health book of the year (and I read a lot of health books) for the tone, content, advice and ease of reading. It's also wonderfully encouraging and positive, with very simple advice to make truly big changes in your health. I highlighted a ton and made my husband sit through listening to lots of it. :) I appreciate that he focuses on changes to get off of medications and has a very holistic view regarding the importance of elements like movement and social needs too. Highly recommended.

I read a digital ARC of this book for review.

Dr. Frank Lipman, MD uses a combination of Chinese and western medicine in his New York City practice. His book is a summary, written in layman's terms, of lifestyle techniques to help people age well. One of the most refreshing aspects of the book is that Dr. Lipman does not sell supplements or exercise equipment, but he tells the reader what will help and gives specific information on how to find it. The New Rules of Aging Well is an extremely useful compendium of ways to feel your best through small changes.

I was provided an Advance Reader's Copy in order to write this review.

Good advice. A must read for those not aging well or for those that want to be sure they do!

Will definitely recommend and have a list of things to try!

This book downloaded to my phone instead of my kindle so it took a while to go through it but this is definitely one to purchase. It has beautiful photos and the advice (which I won't give away) is excellent and I started to implement right away. I highly recommend this one to own as it will be one you will want to refer to often. Thank you so much to the publisher and to NetGalley for the download to review.

Similar to other books on healthy aging, but easier to follow and digest, this book was chock full of great tips and facts. Mostly it focused on easy ways to ensure that your body ages as healthy as possible. I'll definitely be making some lifestyle changes to things I never really thought about before reading this book.

A well written and friendly guide to aging well, making use of medical knowledge, diet, exercise, and supplements to improve one's health. Previous books by this author have circulated well in our library system and I'm sure this new one will be checked out many times as well.

Dr. Lipman doesn’t mince words. He tells you right off that your body starts to deteriorate in your thirties, and that sugar, alcohol, and refined, starchy carbs should be avoided. He recommends rolling muscles with a foam roller, and discusses fasting, microbiome health, supplements, tai chi and yoga, meditation, healthful food choices, inflammation, and aids to getting a good night’s sleep. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to review this accessible book on an important topic.
