Amazing story that teaches the reader that sometimes love means giving and being patient. I recommend this book

Although the book does have a religious outline I am not familiar with, the idea to explain love to children through various interaction is wise no matter what. Such contexts and interactions are creating for the little ones a base of understanding and practising what is the opposite of hate. The illustrations are acceptable. Recommended for pre-school children.

Love, by Casey Rislov and illustrated by Rachael Balsaitis, is a cute little story book for small children. The story is based on 1 Corinthians 13. It uses the Bible verse along with beautifully drawn pictures to help tech little ones how to love, how to share, how to care for others and how to have fun with others. The story follows a family of owls as they explore the woods, tend their garden, go fishing, fly kites and snuggle into bed.

I just love this little book. Each page is made up of part of the Bible verse and a beautiful picture. The animals in the pictures are so cute. This is a fun book to read and interact with little ones while teaching them valuable lessons.

I received an ebook copy of this book from NetGalley, this is my honest review.

This delightful little book teaches children about love. Each page depicts a scene showing what love is, and how we can show love to others.

It is the perfect book to introduce (or remind) little ones what love is.

A beautifully illustrated, biblically based children's book reminding us of the most important gift of all...love.

First of all, I need to say that the illustrations were just so wholesome and stunning. It kind of reminded of old school books (or at least the ones I used to read when I myself was a kid).
I did not know this book was based on a passage from the Bible.
As I am not religious myself, I was able to ignore that as the statements on love are universal, in my opinion at least.

A good book to have, and a good reminder for everyone, big and small!
Thank you Netgalley for giving me access to this book in exchange for an honest review!

While this picture book is inspired by a bible verse in Corinthians, it is accessible to all. Love is patient, love is king, and love is fully well illustrated in this book.

Love is generous. It celebrates the joys of others.

Inspired by the well known marriage scripture on love 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 what is love. With the wise owl, father owl shares the truths of this passage with his little owl. God is wisdom which translates to God is love. The illustrations are pleasing with the simple truths of love. Highly recommend.

A special thank you to Casey Rislov Books and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review

First Corinthians in soft nurturing visual depictions. Loved the light hearted family nature of the book.

Nice illustration but wording was too much straight from the Bible verse about love. There was no actual storyline involving the owls that were depicted in the book. Just "love is patient, love is kind, etc." Would have been more impactful for kids if an example was given on each using the owls.

Short, Sweet, & Perfect as a babyshower add on gift! The illustrations seems a little bit dated but the messages was simply delivered & perfect for a bedtime story with your littles. A great addition to any home library.

I love that this beautiful verse from Corinthians has become a picture book! For me, the illustrations fell short on making the words pop out of the page. Beautiful concept, art should align a bit more.
