5 minute Selling started very interesting but somewhere along the way it got really tedious and I kept losing my focus. Wish I was able to finish it.
It was a DNF for me :/
i got an audio version of this book as a Galley copy via NetGalley and enjoyed listening to the book.
This book lays a good foundation for people in the profession of selling. Irrespective of whether you are just starting your sales career or have been a career sales executives, there is something for you to learn from this book.
One of the most important aspects of selling is to know who you are selling to, what you are selling and have a process or a framework that you follow to sell. The author has created a simple framework for selling and I am sure that the process is useful in specific selling situations. If your selling experience falls in that category, you should consider adopting this process.
People new to selling or wanting to get more organized in the sales job will love this book. Alex Goldfayn outlines a daily method to get the sales. It is very structured and I am sure you get out what effort you put in. However it seems to be of only interest to serious sales people. Great for a library collection or someone in the sales force looking for leads and dedicated to their job.
The narrated was the author himself and is very knowledgeable but I feel a professional voice actor could have brought more life to the audiobook.
A System to Efficiently Boost Sales
Audiobook Review:
This book is tailor-made for any person who does outside sales, whether as an employee or business owner. The author has created a simple system using some very specific sales techniques that should add to the bottom line of any salesperson or outside sales company. None of the ideas is truly unique if you’ve spent any time in sales, but putting them together into an organized system will make them more efficient. This really isn't for someone who is just getting started as an entrepreneur, as it assumes that you already have customers and a solid base of leads or prospects. I actually think this book could be beneficial for an outside sales manager who might want to teach these techniques to his or her crew. If you are in sales with an existing customer base, I recommend you check out this book.
Being in the planning stages of starting my own business, I've recently been doing a lot of research about ways to get things started fast as soon as I get my business off the ground. Since sales will be my main concern at the beginning, I excitedly reached for "5-Minute Selling" as an audiobook to listne on my power walks.
It's indeed a really great book that can help any sales person boost their numbers and succeed. The tools are surprising but very clever, and I'm certainly planning to use some of them in the future.
However, I felt like a lot of these ideas concern in-person contact with clients, which I didn't expect and won't really need. In addition, I do think this book would indeed be better suited for someone who owns their own store or works at one.
*Thank you to the Publisher for a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
I had an audio book and the contents are good for those who started career in sales or doing sales for a while and find selling chaotic. The ideas from this book can bring efficiency and structure in place.

Each chapter dives into a practice that you can easily add to maximize your sales efforts. This book has a lot of information, I would suggest practicing what the book preaches with the tools and journaling that can be found on the author’s website. This will insures the skills developed during this book will stick.
