Another fantastic read. Full of twists and a little shocking at times but such a great read. Can't wait for more!

This novel is a twist on the usual sexual assault storyline and delves into the challenges of finding truth when both parties are contradicting each other. The double standards and gender stereotypes that exist for victims of sexual violence are also in the spotlight. This book also included podcasts, texts, emails, notes, diagrams, and news articles which I found quite interesting and something I haven't seen before. It added a different angle to the story which made it more vivid for me.

I must start by saying I don’t know why I haven’t picked this book up sooner as I have loved all the others and this one did not disappoint at all. Inspired by my friend Charlotte and her #NetgalleyNovember I knew this one was waiting for me and it was just what I needed. I love the pace that Cara sets, it makes me want to keep reading and always makes a quick read. What I love the most though is the police procedural and the way the evidence is gathered. I have so much interest in anything like this whether it’s books or television so it’s always a winner for me. Would highly recommend this series and a top author for me!

This is the fifth book in the series and I will admit I have only read book four and now this. I don’t feel like I have missed any of the first three.

The Whole Truth, offers a lot of edge of your seat material throughout, right up until the very last page.

Sometimes it is hard to distinguish truth from lies and that is what is so important in this case, or is it merely youth against older establishment. We are kept guessing until the final twist at the end just when you thought it was solved.

Another cracking police procedural in the Adam Fawley series, a quick read with some nice twists and turns and a satisfying ending. I appreciated the who's who list at the front, I'm somewhat late getting to this one so it was helpful to have a reminder of all the characters. I've enjoyed all of this series so far, bring on the next installment I say! Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the ARC.

Yes! Absolutely loved this one! I always enjoy an adam fawley book but this one blew my socks off! Amazing!

Holy hell this was thrilling and intriguing. I could also just see this actually happening. If you love twists and turns with a unique plot then this is one for you.

Whilst this is part of a series I didn't really notice there being any detriment in the fact that I had read none of the previous books.

Set in Oxford this all-too-believable police procedural will have you turning the pages as though your life depends on it. The writing style may not be to everyone's taste and it is often hard to know where to stop and take a break due to the chaptering but maybe just give in and keep going.

⭐The plot twists take you on a rider to remember & make it impossible to predict what will happen next.
⭐ This series keeps getting better & better in my humble opinion. If you haven't started the series yet don't worry you can jump in with this one there is a handy summary of all the main characters at the beginning, perfect for any existing fans who need a reminder.
⭐ I'm already counting down the days until I can get my mitts on Fawley 5!

As per usual, Cara Hunter does it again and produces yet another brilliant crime thriller book in the Adam Fawley series.

Crime thriller books can all become much of the same, but Cara Hunter has the great ability to provide the reader with something completely different in this genre. This was another page turner of a book, with lots of twists and turns, keeping you wanting to read more.

I loved the ‘who’s who’ at the start of the book and it’s really helpful for people who may have forgotten characters from previous books.

I don’t want to give too much away in my review for fear of spoilers but this book certainly had me gasping with shock and also completely drawn in by the red herrings.

Another 5 star read for me and I cannot wait for more from Cara and Adam Fawley!

This was really well written, with a great plot. I had no idea it was a series, but it didn’t seem to matter to the story.

I love this author and series. Another great book, you really get to know and care the characters. Another great story. My only slightly negative comment was I felt the ending came too quick, there was so much to wrap up and so little time left in the book.

This thriller was simply terrific! Again NetGalley have introduced me to a new author who I absolutely love. Another series to add to my ever growing list!
As this is not the first in the series, I loved that the author gave us an overview of the main characters before the start. I wish more series did this.
As this novel is quite up to date it involved things like Brexit and Podcasts. Each time a podcast was introduced you saw a cut from the digital page with the description. Sadly this was unreadable on my Kindle as it wouldn’t enlarge. I’m not sure if it was the same in the final version as this was produced prior to publication. At first I thought I missed things, but the further I got I realised this probably wasn’t the case.
The plot was complex with multiple storylines and the tension was kept high throughout. All the characters appear with human frailties and I was delighted to read at the end that the TV rights for the series have been sold. I better get cracking with the earlier ones then.
The only reason this isn’t 5 star is that small formatting issue as I did fret I was missing something to start with.

Sometimes a book gets lost on my Kindle & that was the case with The Whole Truth, I've read & enjoyed previous books in the series, but the 'who's who' at the start was a brilliant nudge to the memory. Adam & Alex his wife are looking forward to the birth of their baby, although Alex is very un-nerved that the Roadside Rapist is about to be released from prison .Adam & Alex met during this case & it was Alex's evidence that had been crucial. A podcast seems set on casting doubt on his guilt.

Alex & his team as called to an Oxford college as one of the lecturers has been accused of a sexual assault. When they find out that the accused is an attractive lecturer & the victim is a six foot rugby player everyone needs to rethink their initial reactions. I really enjoyed this book & think it's the best in the series so far. The only drawback was that having WhatsApp pages & evidence although a good way to show authenticity it is maddening on a Kindle where you can't enlarge them. Reading along with a magnifying glass is not ideal-especially as even then it was tricky which is the only reason I couldn't give it five stars. Thanks to Netgalley & the publisher for letting me read & review this book.

The Whole Truth is a police procedural that follows the investigations of DI Adam Fawley and the team at Thames Valley CID. In this book the team are investigating allegations of a sexual assault with high profile characters, and then a murder that is linked to Fawley’s past. Alongside this, the team of detectives have their own troubled personal lives, and DI Fawley faces troubled times ahead when an investigation takes a dark turn.

I particularly like the way that Cara Hunter places the reader at the centre of the action, and as I’ve found with her previous novels, it’s like watching a drama unfold in a TV series. The narrative jumps from scene to scene in different points of view, but this never gets confusing and is handled deftly by Hunter. I spent much of the novel questioning who was innocent or guilty, and the twists at the end took me by surprise.

This is a page turner of a novel, and fans of Cara Hunter’s novels will not be disappointed. The plot is gripping and five stars for the escapism I got from this unputdownable thriller.

This book is another excellent addition to this series. I honestly don’t know how to review it without giving any spoilers!

So, I’ll keep it short by saying…. Extremely well written plot. For me it was an incredible read with lots of suspense and twists throughout. I couldn’t wait to reach the end!

It’s a series I’ll highly recommend to all crime fiction lovers.

I did not even realise that this was the 5th book in a series! I liked that it started off with a brief rundown of the characters from the previous 4 books. However, I didn’t really connect with the characters - possibly because I didn’t really know them well. There was also a lot of characters to keep track of, and having not read the previous books probably didn’t help.

What really bugged me was that it’s not properly chaptered - it just goes through the whole story without any proper breaks.

I found it hard to follow the story with the constant changes in perspective - it honestly annoyed me so much that it would switch at least once per page.

I’m sorry that I was unable to finish this but i’d rather not finish than push through and give a negative review. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

Can I give this more than 5 stars? I'm a wreck after finishing this.....

When Adam Fawley is called personally to a university regarding a sexual assault case involving a rugby player he thinks he knows what to expect. Except the rugby player is tge victim. The accused a female faculty member, one of university's stars. Fawley is unsure on who to believe but then he's pretty distracted. His wife Alex is heavily pregnant, ordered to rest after a scare. They're obviously stressed but just to add to their worries Gavin Parrie, the Roadside Rapist that they helped convict is out of prison.....

Just what is Cara Hunter trying to do to us? Honestly I've not been this stressed reading a book in years. At the centre is an excellent he said/she said whodunit and then a seriously stressful plot involving Fawleys past. And both story's were so good it felt like a two for one deal. The next part can't come quick enough!
