Another addition to a very cute easy graphic novel series. In this short comic, it's time to hibernate but Poppy is having a hard time falling asleep. Sam takes her to visit the other creatures nearby to find out their tricks to going to bed, in the hopes that they will work for Poppy. It's sweet and charming and a nice little bedtime or changing seasons story.

Poppy and Sam can't fall asleep. They go on an adventure to talk with other animals about how they fall asleep, and if they hibernate or stay up through the winter.

A cute story for children to learn about hibernation and what animals hibernate. It also gives children ideas on helping fall asleep.

A pleasant ´good night´ story, pleasantly illustrated. It helps if read in the winter to develop a conversation about animal sleep patterns in the winter. It is an easy story, with easygoing characters and a pinch of humour. Overall, an enjoyable read.

Poppy and Sam are getting ready to hibernate but Poppy is having a hard time going to sleep. They go on a journey visiting their other friends in the search of finding sleep.

I read this book with my 5 year old daughter and she enjoyed it. The illustrations are great and she liked seeing so many animals interacting with Poppy and Sam. She loved how Sam was helping Poppy, even though he was very tired and ready to hibernate. That showed her what good friends do for each other. A good read and I will look for more books about them.

Thank you Netgalley and Owlkids Books Inc. for the opportunity to read a copy.

Previous volumes of Poppy and Sam were Junior Library Guild selections and presumably this one will be as well. There is much less mystery to this volume compared to previous entries in the series, which is unfortunately to its detriment. The Search for Sleep is still a cute graphic novel for early readers, but is much less fun than previous volumes.

A cute addition to the Poppy and Sam series. The time has come in the garden to settle down for the winter and hibernate. Poppy and Sam have everything ready, but when the time comes, Poppy can't sleep- she's forgotten how to hibernate. She enlists Sam's help to figure out what to do, and together they go around and ask other inhabitants of the garden, but none of their suggestions work. Finally, Simone the mouse has an idea that just might work....
The story of cute and fun, and the reader learns a bit about how different creatures hibernate, and that some spend the winter doing other things. The artwork is adorable, and suits the text very well. A good choice for bed or nap time!

This book is about Poppy and Sam, a little girl and a panda bear who visit different friends to figure out how to fall asleep and hibernate. Adorable, colorful illustrations accompany an interesting adventure story. This would be a great book for children who have trouble falling asleep!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC.

Poppy and Sam and the Search for Sleep made me want to do just that. Head to sleep. The story was just slow and a bit boring. The illustrations were very cute.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. This story about Poppy and Sam is just adorable. I am looking forward to seeing some of the other books in this series.

'Poppy and Sam and the Search for Sleep' by Cathon is the third book in this graphic novel series for young readers.

It's almost winter and Poppy and Sam are stoking up for a big nap. The only problem is that when Poppy tries to sleep, she can't. Sam is sleepy, but wants to help his friend out. They travel to different animals to find out how they sleep for the winter until they find the perfect solution.

This was cute, but not quite as fun as previous volumes. I like the characters and definitely the art, but the story felt a bit thin this time around.

I received a review copy of this ebook from Owlkids Books and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

I had a lot of fun reading this book. Poppy is having trouble falling asleep, so her and Sam decide to ask the other forest critters for advice. They have good ideas, but none sound like they will help Poppy get to sleep. Towards the end of this story, a shocking revelation is made. Fans of the first two books won’t want to miss this one.

Poppy needs some good tricks to help her fall asleep. Along with Sam the panda, acorns, strawberries and blueberries have been gathered and the friends are well supplied for hibernation. Saying goodbye for winter, Sam immediately falls asleep in his butternut shaped dwelling. Oh no! Poppy can't sleep. She forgot how to hibernate! Sam volunteers to stay awake with her as they visit their neighbors asking for suggestions to encourage sleep.

"Poppy and Sam and the Search for Sleep" by Cathon is a whimsical, beautifully illustrated children's book. All creatures, big and small, sometimes find it difficult to fall asleep. Just ask Poppy and Sam's delightful, humorous friends!

This was adorable. The illustrations were fantastic and super cute. The story was easy to follow and provided some helpful tips for getting to sleep in kid friendly ways. The backgrounds and side characters were drawn super well - there are new things to see each time you read this!

Overall, highly recommend. I'm quite sleepy myself now too.

Winter is fast approaching and best friends Poppy and Sam are carefully gathering food for hibernation time. Poppy says good night to Sam and off she goes to nestle in for a long winter's nap. Poppy tosses and turns and becomes upset because she has insomnia. Whatever shall she do? She needs to sleep!

She wakes up Sam and together they set out on a mission to ask advice on how to make Poppy finally succumb. They visit the bees who are snuggling down nice and comfy in their honeycomb, a frog who sips on a mug of fly milk before he nods off, and a colony of ants who suggest Poppy read a good book which may help her reach her Dreamland goal.

Finally their journey takes them to a family of non-hibernating mice who welcome them inside their home and invite them to stay with them for the winter. Will Poppy and Sam be able to stay awake until Spring arrives just like the mice?

This is the third book in the Poppy and Sam series. This picture book/graphic novel will be a great hit with kids. The characters are adorable and the speech bubbles make them come alive. The story is educational and offers themes of friendship, caring for each other, bedtime prep, the seasons, and it gives the reader a glimpse into a variety of animals living in their habitats. This book is a perfect introduction to graphic novel enjoyment. I highly recommend this book.

The fall colors and feel to this book & adorable illustrations caught my eye immediately! Then I saw it was about a little girl having trouble sleeping & I just had to have this one to read with my wild toddler who thinks she can go without sleep,

A fun introduction into hibernation, she loved seeing the different animals along the story. Acting out each of the suggestions was her go to as we read this one, which made it a lot of fun!

This is an adorable picture book for kindergarteners. At 2 and 5, my children just don't want to go to bed, ever. It is a time when I'm finding it difficult to lull them to sleep, they always want to play, even when they are falling off their chair from shear exhaustion, they would do anything rather than sleep! So what a surprise it is to see heroes running around trying to sleep and meeting fun characters, trying out different sleeping methods, growing frustrated at not sleeping! We followed their surprisingly fun journey very happily and even I enjoyed their adventure.
The pictures are rounded and extremely cute in a modern way. The colours are vibrant and fun. The comic book bubble style fits the mood perfectly.
I really recommend that book, I will look more into the series and can see myself reading it again and again at bedtime.

I found the comic thought bubbles confusing. My kiddos like the story and the cahracters. Overall, a decent read but not special.

This adorable little installment of the Poppy & Sam series is the perfect beginner's graphic novel. It's filled with colorful and perfectly autumnal illustrations. Poppy is having trouble sleeping so Sam goes on a quest with her to find the solution to Poppy's insomnia.
