As a practitioner for adolescents with autism, anxiety and adhd this workbook is perfect. I use growth mindset with all my students and am always looking for resources for both myself and also to suggest to teachers, therapists and families looking for additional support. This entire series is hands down my favorite!
Plus the price point is very affordable
The Growth Mindset Workbook for Teens is a great workbook to help teenagers develop skills and reshape their thinking. Easy to understand and helpful activities for teens. #TheGrowthMindsetWorkbookforTeens #NetGalley
Good explanations and easy workbook for teens to be used in addition to receiving therapy from a trained clinician
This is a really nice workbook to use over time. Lots of examples to reflect upon and many opportunities for teens to think about themselves, their situations, friendships and life as a whole.
I would recommend this book to parents and teens who are struggling to stay positive.
Very informative and useful not just for teens but young adults period. This workbook will be ideal for those on the path of growth
Includes just enough brain science explained in simple language to help teens understand the purpose of the exercises. Exercises are simple and build on each other. Stories from other teens are included as examples. This would be a good workbook for the library of any counselor who works with teenagers.
Can be a good workbook, could reuse practices if needed/reevaluate what you want to improve. Can be good for those wanting a better mindset.
We all know that the teenage years are difficult. Having taught teenagers in the past and having a very close-minded teenager at home at the moment, I found this workbook very interesting. Lots of eye-opening, and certainly mind-opening, exercises to show teenagers that not everyone in the world is against them and that they have talents and are capable of being strong adults in the future.
Review based on an ARC provided by the publishers.
It can be very challenging to work with people who have a closed mindset. I often times forget that it is also very challenging to be the one with the closed mindset & try to work your way out of that. I like that this workbook has multiple resources & really explains the growth mindset in depth.
I was given an ARC by the publisher in exchange for my honest review. The opinions expressed are my own.
I teach middle school English. Students who are typically going through so many chemical changes in their bodies they don’t know up from down. And this year has been anything but typical. When we all come back to normal after the pandemic, EVERY middle school and high school student should work through this book. I appreciated how the authors explained the brain science behind thoughts and feelings. Most growth mindset teaching materials are at an elementary level. This workbook is written for teenagers at their level.
The authors provide a plethora of activities, so the book could be used multiple times. I tried some of the activities with my own students and they were engaged...which is a stamp of approval that is hard won during this challenging educational environment.
Well done. They receive an A from me!!
This is a workbook to help you achieve something .
**It's really useful if you follow the steps and may find your way out of stress, anxiety, worry.
**To gain something from this book you have to be honest with yourself and then take a pen do some planning and then follow it.
**The best thing I gained from this book is method of forming a goal that you can actually achieve. I am procrastinating type . I will be like , ok, today I am gonna complete this and this then I keep putting it for later and then for next day . As you can see not really able to achieve anything.
I know this habit of mine only gift me problems. Anyway, so what I am saying this book taught me how to make goal and then truly achieve it. That was really helpful.
I received an advance copy of this book from NetGalley.
This book is all about Growth-Mindset. While it is meant to be an individual workbook, I would be interested in using this on the classroom in my intro to high school advisory class and in my college prep classes. I liked how the book introduced concepts about growth-mindset as mini-lessons and then followed those with activities to engage the reader. Not all of the activities need to be completed, but the book sets everything up in a good order. I would use this with my 9-12th graders!
The Growth Mindset Workbook for Teens is designed to help teens reshape thinking and action from fixed to growth mindset. This workbook helps teens develop skills related to values identification, goal-setting, challenging negative self-talk, and utilizing gratitude.
This is a great workbook for younger teens who are a little stuck and need some strategies, or even for teens that just need a little more flexibility or alignment with their values. I could also see this workbook being helpful in a school counseling setting. Every skill is backed up with immersive exercises, and the strategies build on themselves.
