This is a beautiful book worth reading just for all the pictures. Interesting story form the author about the drinks and background. The recipes seem fairly simple, and the results look very tasty. Lots of pictures and simple instructions.
The photos in this book are amazing and make everything look so good. I wasn't sure what gazoz was until I started reading this book, and I found it super interesting. I don't like kombucha and I probably won't ever make anything in this book, but it was really interesting to read through!

So simple yet how has it not entered my brain at all? While I do appreciate the good drink every now and then, I also love anything fizzy and juices. I've just never thought to mix drinks without alcohol before and thanks to Gazoz, I'm now inspired (as summer creeps up). I really enjoyed reading that 'sweet fermentation is about capturing the beauty of nature'. I always preferred not messing too much with nature, but I'm missing out for sure. I don't have the creativity that extends beyond the beauty of clean eating but there's a whole new world out there, as shown by Gazoz. The importance of probiotic drinks is also getting higher on my priorities list as age comes for us all and changes our system. The author's encouragement, of making 'the magic by bringing your own energy, creativity, and style to the glass,' is needed. I can also see a lot of these recipes translating into daily cooking as well, which is super cool. The beautiful photos, clear directions, and enthusiasm from the author is a great motivator to try (for me) this new approach to drinks.
Seltzer water is all the rage these days, and I’m definitely a part of the trend. I quit soda a year or two ago? (What is time? Who knows?) and as soon as I got used to the lack of sugar, my cravings for bubbles has been more than satisfied.
I got a soda stream in November and use it constantly. Saw this book for request and thought I’d pick up some cool tips for sprucing up my plain bubbles.
Nope. This book is not that. It’s supes fancy! The author has a small shop in Tel Aviv and he shares detailed, super fancy ways to make craft cocktail level recipes minus the alcohol. From fermenting to growing herbs and obtaining uncommon ingredients, these mix recipes are like the epic bloody mary levels of soda water.😂
It was fun to read, but I will only be personally trying a few of the more simple recipes. Will share results.
As we come out of quarantine, it's going to be so important to have delicious non-alcoholic drinks. This books is so pretty and the recipes are creative and look amazing.
This book provides an introduction to the preparation of gazoz, or non-alcoholic carbonated beverages. It provides a guide on proper fermentation of the ingredients for gazoz as well as a collection of different recipes for syrups, kombucha, jun, and kefir. The last part of the book explains the proper preparation of gazoz in a variety of styles and flavor combinations. The beautiful full-color photographs and easy to understand instructions make this a perfect resource for newcomers looking to prepare these beverages as well as more experienced users looking for new ideas.
The photography of this book makes me long for the coming summer days. The recipes make me anxious for the fresh summer fruits and veggies to make these delicious-sounding bubbly refreshers. I will be referring to this books on all the warm days ahead.
Gazoz is a drink consisting of fruit, flavored syrup, and carbonated water. Beautiful, elegant, and refreshing. The photographs in this book are gorgeous; the recipes inspire the reader to create. This book is for the dedicated cook, someone willing to jump in and learn new techniques. Although I don't see myself putting in the effort to make these drinks, I definitely want to drink one!
A beautiful book to look through - visually as luscious as the drinks created. The recipes themselves are not for a novice but may inspire cooks to try something new, especially as more and more people are looking for non-alcoholic drink options.
Gazoz - a delicious, carbonated, non-alcoholic drink! If you're looking for some recipes for delicious, all-natural mocktails, and are willing to put in the work to make them (seriously, you'll need to do your own sweet fermenting and everything) then this is definitely a cookbook you'll want to check out. There's info on how to make your own kombucha and kefir, too. So if you're patient and in the mood for some complex recipes, go forth and make some yummy, sparkly Gazoz!
Beautifully photographed book with on-alcoholic recipes using fermented fruit, nuts, spices, etc. Recipes are easy to follow.
This book is a delight. I was not at all familiar with gazoz drinks and I found the whole concept delightful-- sparkling, non-alcoholic drinks that are packed with various botanical elements to give them all kinds of unique flavors and stunning looks. There are lots of recipes not just for the drinks but for the elements -- how to make kombucha, sugar-fermented fruits, botanical syrups and much more. The photographs are stunning and plentiful. This would make a great gift and also a fun book to treat yourself with, especially if you are into making homemade staples and novel drinks. A fair amount of sugar/honey is used so it won't be suitable for folks on very low sugar or keto diets, but it's nothing compared to most common drinks. This was a really fun and inspiring read.
I read a temporary digital ARC of this book for review.
