Don't Forget to Ask explores the art of negotiation in both business and our everyday lives through a set of 13 principles. Each principle is demonstrated through tips, a poor example in practice, a good example in practice and a summary.
The overarching message is negotiation is part of our lives, so it is better to embrace it. The book highlights the importance of knowing your own preferences, meaning you can ask for what you want which may not always be the lowest price (although the author may disagree).
I'd recommend this book to people who either want to build their negotiation skills or their confidence in asking for what they want.

Successful negotiation requires compromise from both sides. Both parties must gain something, and both parties must lose something. The book provides you exactly with this some main and general negotiation ideas with examples supporting each affirmation. Each example is easy to relate and for a general aspect it is clearly helpful.
However, if you have some notions already this might not be what you were looking for to read. For me it was ok to revise the already known notions and to see a different way of explaining those things.
Short and the point book on negotiations andvsales. It delivers what is promises: the main principles of negotiations without a detailed how to plan but with many stories that can provide an example of how to make the suggested principle work.
Author gives excellent practical negotiation tips, using many scenarios and real life examples. I took away many tips that I had never thought of and will use. As the title suggests, “Don’t forget to Ask”.
