After finishing first book I grabbed this one so fast. Caitlin Crews story telling is enjoyable and page turning.
All Night Long with a Cowboy is a Must read for all readers.
*I received this book free from the author.*
Jensen is a great guy, though those in his small town wouldn't know it. He's spent his life acting like the carefree man who can make light of everything, when in reality he was living in his self-designated prison and his persona was how he dealt with the views of others. He has his own demons to deal with and he's spent a long time letting it control his actions. It's not until he finds someone he can't imagine losing, that he is forced to face reality.
Harriet thinks of herself as an odd duck, or just and old cat lady, but truth is she's just a stubborn woman who refuses to settle on anything. Meeting Jensen, truly living for the first time, will have her re-examining who she believed herself to be. It will leave her lost, and confused, and hopelessly in love.
My favorite part about All Night Long with a Cowboy was surprisingly not the romance. It was the assistance Jensen and Harriet gave to Aidan and the way it changed his future for the better. That to me was the best part of the storyline. Not to mention when Aidan gives Jensen 'the talk' about not hurting his favorite librarian. I also enjoyed all the nosey sub characters who always seemed to have Harriet's back, even though she'd only been in town for 3 years and Jensen had been there his entire life.
Although for the life of me, I just did not really care for Harriet. Maybe it was the constant way she talked about being odd, or just herself in general. Either way, she's not my favorite leading lady.
I look forward to reading more of the Kittredge Ranch series and seeing what's in store for Officer Zach.
Part of a series but easily read as a stand alone. Interesting characters and fun conversations between the two main characters. The lady in question would almost make you think she's one of those 'on the spectrum' types until she finally breaks down her wall. Light fun romance, without a lot of steaming bedroom scenes. A little more to the story than just the bedroom. Quick read if you want something to escape to for a few hours.
I was provided an advanced reader copy and was under no obligation to review. The opinions expressed are my own. Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read the book.
This is a Cowboy Romance, and this is the second book in the Kittredge Ranch series. I did read and review the first book in this series before picking up this book. This book is all about what happens when the weird librarian meets the town Cowboy playboy. I am definitely here for it.
Enjoy cowboy stories all the time. Caitlin Crews does a cowboy justice. Recommend All Night Long With a Cowboy!
Highly entertaining, sweetly sexy, exciting fun and action-packed adventure filled with witty and engaging charters, heart racing twists and emotionally thrilling passion. Really enjoyed this sweetly sexy and emotional journey from beginning to end.
It's the modern day proper lady/wild rogue story with all that delicious angst. Jenson and Harriet's confusion of each other through most of the book as they circle each other and their feelings is a riot. It's a sweet story, easy to read, with sizzling chemistry. Witty dialogue and great characters. Definitely recommend.
The contemporary librarian and the cowboy is the trope you didn’t know you needed. I love Harriet and her stubbornness. Jensen is so much more than he presents to the world and Crews perfectly captures how Harriet brings out the best in him. Her prose knocks it out of the park.
This book was really hard to get into for me. The first couple of chapters didn't flow well, in my opinion, and I kept putting it down and coming back to it. No one (at least no one I know) talks the way Jensen and Harriet talked to each other those first chapters. Even Harriet's thoughts were hard to muddle through. I was glad that I stuck it out though, because it does get better as the story goes along. Harriet was off putting for a lot of the story, but she does get better too. I thought it was annoying that she thought normal human reactions to situations were somehow beneath her, when in actuality, she just hadn't put herself in any of those situations before. Jensen was okay, and even though I know he had his reasons, it was still hard not to get aggravated at the way he pushed Harriet away. I thought once they both got out of the way, they were good for each other. I thought the ending was really sweet, and I was happy these 2 got their HEA. I will be on the look out for Zach's book.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
All Night Long with a Cowboy is the second title in the Kittredge Ranch series and talk about opposites attract! I absolutely loved Harriet. She’s not exactly what she seems. She could easily stand in for the role of old-time schoolmarm in any Western movie, but behind that librarian look she’s perfected lies the soul of one very stubborn, very determined woman. And she will get what she needs from Jensen… or maybe even more than she went looking for, which was his help with a troubled teen.
Jensen plays the part of the good times cowboy with perfection. He rarely lets the world see beneath the surface he’s created. Within lies a heart that is as big as the hills but has been harmed along the way. This seemingly playboy cowboy and the supposedly dowdy librarian should not set sparks off of each other… but do they ever, in their banter, in the sizzling chemistry between them, and perhaps most importantly in the heart where love, a forever kind of love, could bloom if they’re willing to take the risk.
All Night Long with a Cowboy has to be my favorite of this series (and yes, I did unintentionally read them out of order). With a slow-burn romance, some healing of old wounds, a bit of transformation, and a whole lot of stubbornness this couple will win your reading heart easily. I had an amazing time in this world and would not hesitate to recommend Harriet and Jensen’s story, but the entire series to any reader who loves a solid romance, a good storyline, sizzling chemistry, and watching two unlikely people fall in love.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
This is totally different from what I usually read, but I really enjoyed it! Westerns aren’t usually my jam but the romance was interesting enough that I didn’t mind at all.
Although the main characters here - the librarian and the cowboy - often conform to stereotypes, this was still a great slow-burn western romance.
Yes, yes, yes!
Opposites attract is one of the oldest tropes out there but it is still one of my favorites. It was done so well in this book that I was immediately hooked.
Throw in that western trope charm and bam, perfect. The characters are believable, the chemistry is great, all in all, worth the read.
It came to attention when I was getting ready to read SUMMER NIGHTS WITH A COWBOY that I hadn't written my review for this book for some reason, so here goes.
ALL NIGHT LONG WITH A COWBOY was a great addition to the Kittredge Ranch Series, and if you enjoy the Opposites Attract trope you're going to love this one! Jensen Kittredge is what you may refer to as a playboy but he just loves to have fun and not be tied down to anyone, so if that makes him on so be it. But don't let that carefree attitude fool you because there is much more to him if you give yourself the time to really get to know him.
I loved Harriett from the moment she walked into the Coyote, a place no one would ever expect to see the buttoned up high school librarian. From the way she dressed and carried herself you would think she was much, much older than her actual years and I think that is what really had me liking her right away but then there was so much more we learned about her and I was as hooked as Jensen was.
The chemistry was great and it was really fun watching Jensen change his ways once he found his forever one.
If you enjoy Steamy Contemporary Western Romances, Cowboy Romances, Small Town Romances, or Opposites Attract I would recommend this book to you.
Happy Reading!!!
I had no trouble getting into the story at all, because the characters were so interesting, unique and colorful. The main characters had a strength about them that was very attractive. The story also has a wonderful blend of humor that kept me enthralled right up until the last page. Really great read!
Yeah, so I didn’t see that one coming at all. When I first found this series I thought it would be an interesting chance to find me a new author that sets her stories around hot cowboys and the women that keep them roped in, but boy was I way off base. The first story in the series was so heart-wrenching I almost couldn’t get through it, and this one had so much going on that it was near to impossible to handle too. The Kittredge boys definitely have a lot of emotional baggage to work through when they begin new relationships, even the always fun-loving and easy going Jensen, but it takes the sweet and loving, but strong and sultry Harriett to tackle him. Harriett moved to the small town of Cold River in order to begin her life as a librarian and has no intention of getting caught up in the silliness of a relationship, definitely not with the town lothario. She simply needs his help with getting through to her trouble students, one of the most troubled in particular, and if she has to push him to his limits to get that help she will. Jensen is stuck in his home town for the first summer in years and he doesn’t like it one bit, but he is determined to prove to his family that he can pull his weight. When Harriett start poking him, demanding his assistance with her students, and then continuing to turn up in his life, she quickly becomes an obsession, but there is no way he can go there, because he is not relationship material. He is a one night only man and there is no way a sexy but weird little librarian could ever change him. Until the feeling between them just become too much for him to deny anymore, but will his realization come too late to keep her? Harriett was definitely an odd ducky, but her quirks made her all the more interesting to get to know and I found myself enjoying seeing her interacting not only with Jensen but with his friends and family as well. She is sensitive, loving, and sweet to those she cares about, but when they are threatened or making stupid choice, look out because she is definitely a scary mama bear. Jensen has so many issues from his past, a trauma that changed him as a young man that he has never really gotten over, and it is obvious that only by healing from that pain does he have a chance at happiness with Harriett. He is a hero, despite his contradicting that, a loving guy, a sweetheart, and a badass all rolled into one sexy package, but Harriett calms him and rounds out the rough edges perfectly. Together these two strangely complimented one another and made for a perfectly pairing. The heat that they each incited with one another was subtle as they hid it so well at first, but once it became undeniable the inferno was easily seen by everyone in town—which was surprising to most. I loved this story of a quiet, sometimes odd woman finding her love in a wounded but heroic cowboy and each of them finding the strength to go after what they wanted together. I am dying to see what comes next in the Kittredge family and the larger Cold River community. Definitely one of my new go-to authors.
Jensen Kittredge is a cowboy, a rancher and a part time smoke jumper. Tragedy from his past and grief keep him from making any commitments. He's spent his life being the jokester, that takes nothing seriously and has a playboy reputation. Everyone in town and his family have low expectations, even though he manages his family ranch.
Harriett Barnett is the Cold River High librarian. Raised by older parents she's always felt out of step with the world. An academic who takes the world on her own terms, speaks her mind and blazes her own path.
Harriett moved to Cold River three years ago, when her summer-school kids need someone to look up to, she corrals Jensen to speak to them. When little miss spitfire, dressed in ill-fitting clothes, approaches him in the local pick-up bar, he can't imagine what she wants with him. He never planned to be a role model but Harriett seems to bring out the best him, while he brings out a side of her, she never knew existed.
What starts out as an awkward meeting between two very different people slowly blooms into this wonderful, sweet romance. Crews gives us a sweet and charming, while dealing with loss, self-discovery, and troubled teens in a small town, where everyone knows each other's business.
If you're looking for a feel-good romance that will leave you smiling and your heart warm and gooey, this is it.
One of my favorite moments, that is so perfectly Harriet
'I did not consent to being kidnapped, ' she protested.
and Jensen's reply...
'If you did, it wouldn't be a kidnap, would it? It would be a ride.'

This was so GOOD! Harriet and Jenson were spectacular together. Harriet has been in Cold River for three years and the high school librarian and when she cannot get any traction getting in touch with Jenson by phone she hunts him down at the local bar, The Coyote. She is as out of place there as could be but she doesn't let that stop her and that is probably what intrigued Jenson first off. He sees her for who she is, right through those big clothes that cover everything up, her glasses, and her bun. Harriet, in turn, manages to dig under the layers of Jenson to the heart of him. These two are perfect for each other. Add in the disgruntled and troubled teen who needs the guidance from both and they are the perfect pair. I was all in from page one of this one and could not put it down.
I was unable to open this book due to issues with the app. I will purchase at a later date and post a review. I am sorry and am
working on a resolution to the problem and will have it solved soon. Thank you
loved the spice in the book, but the story was a bit too insta love/not realistic for me. I thought it was a good enough story to keep me reading though and gotta love a sexy cowboy!
