Started out kinda slow for me but definitely picked up. Loved their story and how it evolved. Its always nice when the book wraps up with what happens in the future. Just makes it a complete story. A very enjoyable read.

Emotionally powerful romance!

The one thing this author absolutely excels at is writing a distinctive voice for each character. Jensen and Harriet are each vibrant, complex people with more depth than their outer personas would suggest. The author's incisive presentation of the events is brilliantly framed to let us feel exactly what the characters are feeling. What results is a witty, insightful emotional adventure that is every bit as fun as reading a romance should be.

Jensen is the town playboy, a somewhat inappropriate reputation that he refuses to refute. Harriet is the quirky high school librarian who effortlessly wears her DGAF attitude even as she's still trying to find her niche in the multi-generational, historic community. These two seem to be opposites right from the start, and to a great extent they are, but the beauty of their romance is how they discover all the ways in which neither is what the other originally thought.

And the author really understands the heart of a book addict, as exemplified in this line:

"Harriet firmly believed that the only life worth living was one in which a woman could never possibly read all the books she wanted to."

If you love cowboys or small town romances, you don't want to miss this one. Even if it takes you All Night Long, you'll want to read and savor this delicious story again and again. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Opposites attract as an unlike pair find themselves attracted to each other in this small ranching town romance. Wonderful, endearing characters with an unusual romance, a heart breaking secret and of course the requisite HEA. I just have to wonder why so many authors make these large ranch/farm families so dysfunctional. I have to hope that it for literary effect and not the reality.

Cowboy Jensen Kittredge, the second oldest of the Kittredge family, witnessed all too well the incendiary relationship of his parents until they finally decided to keep it private. His solution was to be the clown, with the indulgent lazy smile on his face and his big beautiful body always lounging, as he hasn't a care in the world. He is the town playboy, footloose and fancy free. But only his oldest brother, Zack, knows that it is a disguise, that he is really brilliant, but has been punishing himself for the accidental death of his friend, Daniel, when they were in high school, and has dedicated his life to never having what Daniel will never have.

High School librarian, Harriet Barnett on the other hand recognizes that she is an odd duck, but is very comfortable in her skin and the choices that she has made. She is dedicated to her students and finagles Jensen into mentoring Aiden Hall, one of those infamous, Halls. Why he is the first male that she has ever found attractive, is obvious, but not so obvious, especially to Jensen, why he finds this tiny, oddly dressed, bespectacled woman so alluring. Can they learn from each other and provide what the other is lacking? Wonderfull read.

I read an ARC from NetGalley.com. this is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Jensen is the Cold Ridge playboy cowboy. He loves to keep a smile on his face and keep everyone happy. Harriet is a modern day spinster and the high school librarian. She is stubborn and determined. This is a great story with some really awesome characters. It is set in a small town where gossip is a premium. The relationship between Jensen and Harriet takes an atypical path. In the end she melts his ice encased heart and gets him to their happy ending.

Librarian Harriet recruits cowboy Jensen, a former high school football star, to speak to a group of struggling students. Jensen usually keeps things light when it comes to women, but awkward Harriet makes him question his bad boy playbook. Can these opposites find a future together?

This book is so much fun! Harriet is hilarious—self-assured despite her lack of sophistication. The author does an amazing job of showing these characters through each other’s eyes. And of course the romance is hot, hot, hot! Caitlin Crews is a master at contemporary romance, and this novel puts her talents on full display.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

One of the most notorious cowboys in Cold River, Jensen Kittredge always has willing women with sweet smiles vying for a place in his bed. So when Harriet Barnett, the prissy high school librarian sidles up to him in the most disreputable bar in town with a scowl on her face, he has no idea what to make of it. Much less the attraction he feels toward the bespectacled creature who wants something from him. Harriett Barnett doesn’t care for dens of iniquity or the insolent cowboy she certainly shouldn’t find attractive. But one of her students needs her help, and if she needs to corral the infamous Jensen to save him, she will.
This is the second book in the series & is very easily read on its own. I really liked both Jensen & Harriet but I did find the chemistry whilst there it didn’t sizzle & seemed a bit forced at times. That said I thoroughly enjoyed the book, I do like opposites who attract. I also found it very entertaining & loved the humour, the couples first meeting was priceless. I also loved how their relationship developed & grew. This isn’t my favourite book by the author but it's still darned good & I look forward to more in the series
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

On the surface this is an opposites attract, lighter, funny read. BUT it is deep, and sad, that Jensen carries a burden he shouldn't have had to. It takes Harriet to get to the heart of the matter and if she learns amazing things along the way, well that's all goodness too. All the emotions in here, along with heat and a wonderful HEA.
Those Kittredge's are somethin' else, and I can't wait to read more in this series.
I received an ARC through Netgalley. I am giving my honest opinions voluntarily

I didn't want this book to end. I fell in love with Jensen and Harriet's story. What wonderful characters. Can't wait to read more by this author.

Like the other books in the Kittredge Ranch and the Cold River Ranch series, this book pulls me in and doesn't let me go until I finish it. These two series are connected but each book can be enjoyed as standalones. The high school librarian Harriet knows that everyone has already thought her 'odd' but she has always been comfortable in her own skin. Jensen Kittredge doesn't date because he always has women falling all over him. Jensen lives his life charming people. When Harriet comes into the rough bar to seek him out, Jensen life starts to change. I received a free copy of this ebook from the publisher through Netgalley. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. I love this book because it delves so deeply into the characters and their emotions. I love how this story is told through both Harriet and Jensen's point of view. I also love how both of them are such strong characters, especially Harriet. There are a few steamy scenes, but they are not gratuitous. This is a terrific read and I look forward to the next book in this series.

I liked this second installment in the series (which can be read as a stand alone). Jensen and Harriet are not who you would normally see together. The town librarian who views herself without a ton of social ineptitude goes toe to toe with the town playboy. I really liked seeing the growth of these two characters both individually and as a couple. After the drama in the first book in this series, it was a nice break from all of that. Don’t get me wrong, there’s some. But just enough to make it interesting vs. exhausting. Can’t wait to see who pairs up with big brother sherif!

Terrific opposites attract romance. Some heart-warming moments and many chuckles. Five cats do make her a cat lady. Interesting background stories. This was my first experience with this series. I will have to read the others in order to discover the issues with the parents on Kittredge Ranch.

All Night Long with a Cowboy is the second book in Caitlin Crews’ Kittredge Ranch novels. Jensen Kittredge has a seemingly happy go lucky air about him. Usually a smoke jumper during fire season, this summer is different. His father Donovan has had a heart attack and the brothers are all needed to make sure of the ranch’s survival.

Jensen usually has a plethora of willing female companions. He doesn’t date, he doesn’t do relationships, but he does do one night stands. However, when tiny, bespectacled high school librarian Harriett Barnett seeks Jensen out in the local den of iniquity for help with a floundering student, things change for Jensen, and Harriett is changed as well.

This is a multilayered story of family, friends, guilt, and duty. Again Ms. Crews has written a tight plot with surprises along the way. In her stories set in Cold River, Colorado, she reintroduces old friends from her earlier novels, giving the reader a peek into their lives since the story in which they starred. Although each story stands alone, the continuity of characters is an extra perk for the fans. I very much enjoyed this book and I do recommend it!

Harriet Barnett is the town librarian. She dresses like an old spinster but she is young. She admits that she is odd but feels comfortable in her skin. She does what makes her happy not what people think she should do. The after school program she has for teens struggling is working well. Jensen Kittredge is from one of the founding families. He is a smoke jumper and currently helping the family ranch. He likes to have fun and a girl knows he will never commit . From the moment she walked into the bar to confront Jensen, things changed. No nonsense Harriet was in the presence of the town charmer. They were so much fun to read about. As the saying goes, the more they deny the harder they fall. Harriet knew her heart, Jensen just needed to catch up. Loved the ending.

A cowboy and a librarian. Sign me up please! I love both and when added together there is the promise of lots of fun. This book did not disappoint!

I had so much fun watching Harriet turn Jensen’s life upside down. She was self-reliant and more than capable of standing up for herself. When a bit of insecurity did arise, I felt its pinch along with her and resented those that had inadvertently caused the pain. But I have to say that I loved seeing her through Jensen’s eyes. Swoon!

Jensen was the fun loving, always smiling and good for a laugh, citizen in Cold River as well as his own family. Deep inside, however, he harbored a pain so intense, when revealed, it pretty much turned me into a sobbing mess. Harriet was exactly what he needed and while he might not have admitted it, it was fun watching him unknowingly accept it.

This was not only fun to watch, with Harriet’s scowls and Jensen’s lazy grins, it was heartbreaking as well. I loved pretty much everything about this. It’s apparent it is not the first introduction to this family or town, but I was never really lost due to the short background that was usually shared when the characters from the previous book(s) were introduced. This was my first by this author but it won’t be the last!

Do you like the opposites attract trope? If you do, you are going to love this book. Harriet and Jensen couldn't possibly be any different. Harriet is a school librarian and really plays the part well. She wears frumpy clothes and really lacks in social graces to the point that a lot of what she says is brash and can seem rude. She doesn't mean to be rude, she just never learned how to be sociable. Jensen on the other hand is the life of the party. He's always at the bar surrounded by women. He's never taken seriously, because he is playing the part of the jokester to always try to keep things light--especially where his family is concerned.

When Harriet tracks him down at the bar to try to get his cooperation on a project she has in mind, for some reason he finds himself oddly attracted to her. He'd really like to find out what's under the poufy skirts and the butt-ugly cardigans she wears. What she's asking isn't anything he would normally agree to even if someone held his big toe over a bonfire, but he find himself agreeing.

I loved these two together. Something that shouldn't have worked did and the changes in both characters were gratifying and so much fun! A great book!

Thanks to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the gifted copy. All thoughts are my own.

Thank you Caitlin Crews for breaking my book slump!! This was a fantastic opposites attract romance and a great addition to the Kittredge Ranch series!!

I'm a big fan of the awkward, quirky heroines so, naturally, I adored Harriet! I really appreciated how strong (see stubborn) and confident she was about herself. She didn't just submit to the idea that she didn't "fit in" with people, she completely embraced it! The way she dealt with Aiden, the local troubled teen, with brutal honesty and care really scored points with me. I like how she stood up to Jensen and anyone else in town without a second thought. Quirky and quiet don't have to equal timid and reserved.

Jensen was her perfect match. He helped loosen her up a little while also making sure that she was true to herself. She helped him to see that he didn't have to live up to a particular role and showed him, by way of having him work with Aiden, that mistakes made as teenagers don't have to define the rest of your life.

Reputations are not always as they seem. Jensen's "goofiness' and "playboy" rep only underscores his more caring and vulnerable side. Feeling undeserving of love or affection due to his youthful escapades, he struggles with showing care. Until Harriett barges into his life and changes his perceptions. Will her outer "cat lady" persona keep their attraction at bay? Will persuading her to take a chance on him backfire spectacularly? Will they be able to help the ones who need it?

All Night Long with a Cowboy by Caitin Crews

Once again I have fallen for another Kittredge Cowboy. Jensen is so easy going that he is unflappable. Jensen portrays a funny clueless cowboy, whose one mission is to sleep with anything once. He likes women and whiskey. In reality, he is incredibly sharp and intelligent. He uses his humor to diffuse situations.

Harriett Barnett made me laugh!!!! She is what is known as an odd duck. She is self possessed and confident. As the school librarian her behavior and dress is stereotypical. Harriett however is determined to make a difference to her students that she is working with this summer. One of the students wanted Jensen to speak to the group. The kid does this tongue-in-cheek, but once Harriett manages to track Jensen down, she convinces him to speak. This sets off a story of love, passion, and allowing people to come into their own.

Caitlin Crews has written a fun series of books so far about Cold River Colorado and hot cowboys - who meet their match. I can’t wait for the next Kittredge Brother to go down clueless to the end. All Night Long with a Cowboy by Caitlin Crews is a great read.

All Night Long With A Cowboy was a good read with a lot more depth than you would expect based on the title. This is Jensen's story, he was introduced previously in the author's other books. This one can be read as a standalone but I had been intrigued by his character a couple times before.

Jensen has a persona he portrays to compensate for a tragic event in his past. Harriet is portrayed as an "odd" school librarian. Perfectly honest, she comes across as on the high functioning autism spectrum. Absolutely nothing wrong with that but it is never stated, only repeatedly calling her "odd" or "stubborn." I wish she were actually identified as on the spectrum as it would lend more to the story but there are many adults (and children too) out there without diagnoses but meeting the criteria. There is a backdrop of a teen in trouble and working to better the world which seems stuck in past negative patterns.

Overall, I really enjoyed the angst, the differences in the characters, how the story progressed to keep me turning pages, and of course the hea.
