This is a delightful read perfect for lighthearted and romantic readers who enjoy a good laugh, a slow-paced story, and a dash of humor, as it follows the misadventures of two unlikely individuals who find themselves entangled in a fake engagement and must navigate their growing feelings amidst a backdrop of family drama and personal struggles.

I didn't download this but read it via a different site. I really loved it and the characters and storyline drew me in. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. I'll definitely be reading other books by Melynda Price on Kindle Unlimited.

I could not put this book down! I loved the romance and the chemistry between the main characters. A little bit of drama but a fun fake engagement story (one of my favorite tropes!)

This was such a fun summertime read! I loved how they met and how sexy they got! It kept me intrigued the entire time!
I was a bit annoyed with the ending however, considering all the secrets never came out. I felt like it wasn't actually over... With the family at least!!
Characters and dynamics were well build over all and I did enjoy this book!

This is my first book by Melinda Price and I will definitely be looking for others. The premise of the story is what drew me to the story, fake fiancé turns into real love, yes please! The MCs Summer and Cullen are multifaceted with fun personalities on the surface and inner turmoil that helps to bond them together. As the story progresses and the time to decide whether these two have real feelings drew closer I found myself flipping the pages as fast as I was able. This story will cause you to experience all the feelz, and it couldn’t have had a better ending.

Grab this book and dive in!!

I think the title does this book a disservice. A different title the book may have gotten a better chance at being picked out by people to read.
The connotation of this title is not exactly my favorite when in conjunction with a romance. I gave my spouse a brief synopsis and asked his opinion and he was a little bit less offended because he said men tend to talk that way about women in certain situations even though he doesn’t participate in conversations of that type.
Overall the book had a great bantering between the characters and a fun storyline. It had a sexy tension between the characters that made the book more interesting and want you to keep reading. I think the author could could have played with that just a little more, but overall the characters and plot was interesting.

I received a free advanced copy from NetGalley and these are my willingly given thoughts and opinions.

A very well written and entertaining romance with a touch of comedy, some steamy scenes, fun and drama. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC, as I really enjoyed Summer and Cullen's 'fake romance' to 'real romance' story. I'll be reading more from this author.

This romance felt so real and relatable. Everyone comes with baggage and past bad experiences and have to work through them. The characters, although unlikeable at times, felt so real. Like, they were people I would meet in real life. I’m so in love with this story, it’s plot, and the characters.

I love Melynda Price. And this story was no different. The only thing I would have wished for - was an epilogue or more of the ending and seeing them together.

Complementary copy given for your honest review and opinion. This is a perfect book with a perfect romance. I love the romance with the milieu twist.

This read fell flat for me. It was hard for me to connect with the h and H, and I did not really like either of them. I also did not find it very realistic that Summer’s family would have no idea what happened with her ex. Things have a way of making themselves revealed so it just didn’t seem plausible to me that no one knew the truth. Other than those elements, the story had some drama and a decent romance. The writing was good, as well. If you’re looking a light summer read, then this book may be for you. It was just a miss for me.

First of all, I really loved Summer and found it hilarious how Summer and Cullen met. Their arguments were so much fun to read, and really helped to build their relationship naturally. After they both had rocky relationships previously, I feel like this really helped soften their feelings towards each other, while also providing some hilarious content to read.

I did want to give Cullen a few kick's up the butt sometimes, the poor guy did seem to have a lot on his mind, but it went a bit far sometimes. I did love how Summer wasn't a doormat at the start, that she sassed right on back and made him work.

Halfway through the book I felt Summer lost her strength, that with her family and ex...what a psycho! I feel like I kind of understand why she didn't tell anyone, but I also just wanted to shake her around and get her to say. Why stay quiet about that, especially when her family cared about her so much and it ended up putting the blame on her. If they really knew half the stuff that dude pulled it would be a different story. Your family's happiness is more important than money, and if they didn't understand, then they aren't worth the hassle. I think I was also thrown on where that strong woman had gone, making herself miserable to essentially only make the ex happy, because I can see that the brother wouldn't be happy she kept quiet if he found out.

I feel like the book started super strong, but I didn't really enjoy the ending at all. Summer almost seemed like a completely different character just forgiving the guy, but maybe it was because the scene was so short that we didn't get to see enough.

I absolutely loved Hit It and Quit it by . I read a lot of books and while I thought this book was going to be similar to some I had already read, it really surprised me in a good way. Summer and Cullen made the best couple and while they did have some insta love, they did have to work to fix themselves to get their happy ending. Thank you so much NetGalley for an advance copy!! This is my first book by this author and before I finished the book, I had already purchased three more!

This author never disappoints. Price really knows how to tell a story. I loved this couple and their romance was swoon worthy.

Summer, born and raised in New York, left the city and her cheating fiance aka her brother's friend/ business partner Wyatt.
With lots of going on in her life she crashes at her friend. Well, she broke into the apartment through a window and with her luck the apartment isn't the right one.
Cullen is surprised at the intruder. given that he's a marine who just got back from Afghanistan, he has his gun ready and pointed at her head. When she surprises him by blaming him for the attempted breaking in there seems to be a spark of interest from him.
Soon after their feisty first meet Summer surprises Cullen with an invitation to be her plus one to her brother's wedding. The perks? Enjoying time on Maui island. The cons? Pretending they are engaged.
The more time they spend together, the more they pretend to be in love, the more it doesn't feel like pretending anymore.

Summer is a great, sassy (and crazy) romance heroine. With all things happening in her life she just needs to keep her mother and ex-fiance off herself and what better then a simple lie- I am engaged.
Cullen is everything you can expect from an alpha marine and his experience in the military, PTSD and flashbacks seem really realistic and are well put in the story.
I liked the flow of the story, it's easines and fake fiancé trope that was written well. It's an easy read and would work perfect as a light summer read.

This was a really fun story and I enjoyed it. Its a new author for me but I will be looking for more books in the future because I really enjoyed it. Its a fake fiancee romance with a hot ex military man and a destination wedding with her ex as the bestman at her brothers wedding. It made me laugh and smile and I loved the main characters.

In this story we meet Autumn on a very bad day when she ends up breaking into her besties apartment and instead meets her neighbor, Calum. Going to her brothers wedding she ends up asking Calum to be her fake fiancee since her ex is the best man. And thats when the fun begins. This book was fun and a light read and I enjoyed it.

I’ve read many of the author’s books and thoroughly enjoyed them, but this one just didn’t hit the mark for me.

I liked Summer and Cullen and they definitely had chemistry, but they had so many things going on that didn’t truly get resolved, or I should say resolved in a way that I found satisfying, so I’m left feeling like I needed MORE. I wanted to get deeper into Summer and Cullen. I wanted to see the issues Summer and Cullen were going through prior to colliding play out more and those that did get resolved didn’t feel resolved.

While I wish this one had worked for me, it didn’t and I’m putting it on the ‘it’s not you, it’s me’ shelf and calling it a one and done and cross my toes that the next book I read by the author will be better.

Hit It and Quit It, is the second book I have read by author Melynda Price. This romance opens with a hilariously funny dinner date, where the main character, Summer, is listening to her companion talk about his job...cleaning up roadkill. A terrible blind date to say the least.

Summer's evening only gets worse with her apartment burning to the ground, getting soaked in the rain, and almost getting shot by her best friend's new neighbor. Wyatt, the new neighbor, is recuperating from a horrific injury and tragedy while serving in Afghanistan. He and Summer share an instant spark, which evolves into a fake engagement. Overtime, they fall into lust and love.

While this story was quite fun, it had some serious elements as well. I enjoyed the author's writing style and her words kept me engrossed from beginning to end. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Price.
