People often are confronted with a certain situation and they draw conclusions. This is paired with impulsive reactions which may result in breaking strong bond of friendship or love. They never look back, never considereing whether they were not too harsh or too quick in making that one decision.ย
It can stay with them for years and when; at a certain point, they see their chance, they don't hesitate to give to a spot of revenge. Once again without even having thought about confronting the person they come to hate so much.
When you have lost sigh of someone, you think their live has evolved in the same direction it was going in in the past. That's were is also can go wrong.
In the end, you come to see the light and the question is, will there still be time to prevent the worst case scenario?
This was a suspenseful book where the author allows both Faye and Kelly, the main characters, to regale us with their story. It's a case of the past coming to haunt the present and throw a shadow over Kelly's plans for the future.
It's a story about betrayal, lies and deceit, but also about love and friendship. I really had a great time devouring this book. 5 stars
Thank you
This thriller is more character driven than plot. It is very fast paced and well written.
It is a page turner and is filled with some surprises.
A great book
Many thanks to Netgalley and the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was my first book by this author and it did not disappoint!
Our story centers around Tara, who is set to get married, until her past comes back to haunt her. I wonโt go into too many details, but believe me it was a rollercoaster ride, be prepared to ride until the end!
This was a slow burn mystery with a couple of unreliable narrators, and the level of intrigue keeps increasing the further you read, a good thriller overall
Lovely feel good book to read. It was a joy to read. Lovely characters. Great plot. The book was charming. Very well written. Iโd definitely recommend this book

This read was thrilling yet realistic. We follow a slow burn plot alternating between Faye and Tara and essentially two storylinesโ the mystery of what happened at Huntley Lodge three years ago and what happened to the body recently found there. This book was filled with anxiety inducing suspense as clues and hints are trickled into each chapter and we are left guessing at whatโs really going on.
Both characters are pretty unpredictable narrators, constantly providing us with misleading inner dialogue. For me this was definitely a slow burn mysteryโ a long period of the book was a lot of referring to the secret with no insight at all of what is actually is, but the pace of the last 30% sped up as the twists were revealed and the storyline tied together. Overall though this wasnโt mind blowing for me, I thought it was a good solid, well written book.

Took me a while to get into the bookโฆ but glad I persevered, loads of twists and turns that you donโt expect. Will be recommending this to a few friends!
Tara is living her dream or about to - marrying her dream man and emigrating to Australia but then a body is found at her old student house.
Tara had lived there with her ex best friend Faye and Andriu. Tara insists she doesnโt know the woman who has been found there but Taraโs number was the last one sheโd called..
Told in flashbacks by Tara and Faye and their individual perspectives it is left to the reader to discover who is telling the truth.
I worked out who the killer was fairly early on and for the most part enjoyed reading this book. I prefer more action than reading about peoples thoughts and memories so a little more action would have raised my score to 4/5
Thanks to Netgalley for allowing me to read this book in return for a fair review.

Wow, I couldnt put this book down. I was attracted to the plot straight away. The book was addictive and I couldnt stop thinking about it.
Her White Lie was my first Jackie Walsh novel, and I really enjoyed it, so I'm excited to read more of her work. I liked that the story went back and forth between the past and the present and was told from two different perspectives. It was easy to empathize with the characters, and I had a hard time putting the book down because I really wanted to know what happened to Avril. Thanks to NetGalley and Hera Books for giving me the opportunity to read and review Her White Lie. : )
This is the first book I read from this author. Although in my opinion it wasnโt a peg-turner, I enjoyed the dual narratives between the two main characters. The author did a good job writIng from both points of view. I would recommend this book for psychological thriller readers.
Her White Lie is about friendship and the lengths one will go for a friend. Deception, betrayal and a constant sense of impending danger dominate the days leading to Taraโs dream wedding. Will she get to marry the man of her dreams, or will a decision from her past come back to haunt her? This story is a fast paced, character driven thriller that is compelling and entertaining. This is my first book to read by Jackie Walsh, but definitely will not be my last. Thank you NetGalley and Hera Books for my copy. โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ
I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher through netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This book is well written and the characters are described well. I adored Lucas's character. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what happened. The story is set in Dublin, Ireland. I would highly highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone. This book has all the twists and turns to keep you guessing. This ebook is in stores for ยฃ2.99 (GBP). I highly highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone. I can't wait to read more books by this author in the near future.
Page turner. Deceit, truth and lies that will keep you on your toes! Tara is about to be married to Lucas. Soon after their wedding they are leaving for Australia where Lucas has a new job with his current employer. Tara lived at Huntley Lodge when she was a student with two friends Faye and Avril. A body has now been found in the grounds of Huntley Lodge which had been hidden. Will the police discover what Tara did in the past? Faye was her best friend but they split over a fight and she hasnโt heard from her in three years. Is there more in the past than either of them wants to admit? Alternate chapters brings you to both point of views. Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the advance ecopy.
This is an enjoyable read, that has a brilliant twist at the end that you donโt see coming. The characters were interesting, the plot was great and the style of writing was perfect. This is the first book that I have read by this author and Iโll be keeping my eye out for more in the future. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys reading this genre.

This just was not my cup of tea. I did not vibe well at all with the writing or feel for the characters. I like my thrillers more gritty and dark.
Tara Moore should be over the moon! She's in love with a fabulous man and she's planning her wedding. A bonus is that she's leaving Dublin with her new husband and starting a new life in Australia.
But there's a glitch in her plans. Avril Ryan, a woman Tara doesn't know, has never talked to, is found dead in a house that Tara lived in 3 years ago. So if Tara doesn't know this woman, why was she the last person Avril called?
Police are looking at Tara as a possible suspect. What the police don't know is that is hiding something from her past. As the detectives investigate. Tara wonders who can she trust?
With enough twists and turns to rival a roller coaster ride, this is an action-packed page-turning novel of mystery and suspense. The characters are outstanding and deftly drawn. The conclusion was unexpected and totally surprising.
Many thanks to the author / Hera Books /Netgalley for the digital copy of this psychological/crime fiction. Read and reviewed voluntarily, opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.
