I love this thriller it was absolutely engrossing in and kept on the edge of my seat of the last page. I highly recommend this book.
12/10 would recommend to anyone who likes murder mystery thrillers that will take you on a journey.
Walsh flips back and forth between Faye and Tara narrating in both the present tense about the discovery of a body on the estate of a property they once lived on, and backfilling details from an ominous event in the past that links the two to the crime.
This book had the right amount of twists and turns to keep you intrigued the whole time. I was knocked off the scent of the real killer a few times and doubted my original guess, which was the right one.
Walsh writes in a way that really envelops you, and it felt like I was watching the drama unfold. I finished this book in two sittings because I couldn’t put it down.
I’m a big fan of Agatha Christie and James Patterson, so this book felt right up my Alley when I read the synopsis, and it was spot on. This was my first time reading a book of hers and I’ll without a doubt be following her as an author from now on.
This twisty thriller was everything! I absolutely loved this book! It was so amazing I read in one sitting!
Thanks NetGalley Pub and Author for this copy!
I loved it!

I loved this book. I think everyone should read it
i so love this authors books never disappoint s her readers always twisty and addictive i so very much enjoyed .Faye and Tara have been best friends since the age of 8 they like sisters .when its time for them to go to Uni Faye s dad finds them a cheap place to rent Huntley Lodge . then Andriu moves in with them to rent a room but he and Faye become a couple but something happened to Faye and Tara s friendship they both move out of there and 3 years later Tara is getting married to Lucas and they are moving to Australia . and then one morning there on the news is Huntly Lodge a woman s body has been found am not saying no more but it is a must read
Tara is about to be married to Lucas. Soon after their wedding they are leaving for Australia where Lucas has a new job with his current employer. Years ago, Tara lived at Huntley Lodge when she was a student with two friends Faye and Andrui. A body has now been found in the grounds of Huntley Lodge apparently having lain hidden. When the police want to question Tara will they discover what she did in the past? Faye was her best friend but they split over a row and she hasn’t heard from her in three years or so. Is there more in the past than either of them wants to admit? Alternate chapters take us to then and now. I liked Tara and felt for her, having had a bit of a rough ride. She only wants to do what is right and with the best of intentions- however the past has a habit of catching up as they each now know only too well. A book that very much kept me within the pages and built the tension nicely. Of truths and lies and deceit, of friendships and fragility. An enjoyable page turning read.

This was a very enjoyable little suspense thriller.
I have to admit that the author kept me wondering. There were little mysteries wrapped up in the big one and I found myself surprised by the what and who of everything.
I liked our characters, but found most of them to be a little thin. Faye was the most vivid character while the fiancé was kind of…there? Regardless, I was involved in their lives and didn’t know exactly where the book would go.
Good finish to everything and I’d definitely read the author again.

Tara is getting married to the man of her dreams. But when a body is discovered buried at the house she used to live in, will her perfect day ever happen?
This book is written in a way that will keep you hooked from the beginning. Her White Lie alternates the viewpoints of Tara and Faye, with flashbacks from when they lived together at Huntley Lodge in-between. While some of the writing was a bit repetitive, the inner dialogue of Tara getting married and moving to Australia felt like it was mentioned in every chapter, I really enjoyed Faye's character arc. There are plenty of twists and suspense to make this book a very enjoyable read.
Thank you to NetGalley and Hera Books for giving me this advance reader copy in exchange for my honest review.
Definitely a book to read. I was pulled into the story and it did not let go. The book is well written with a strong characters especially Tara, a driven story and many a twists and turns
Recommended 4 star read.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Solid book with a good storyline. It was a bit long at a point. Some of it drug because the story was longer. Good solid characters that were believable.

Ooh, marriages and weddings and dead bodies. We love all three of those in a book! All Tara wanted was her perfect day and does she ever get it? I WAS HOOKED FROM THE BEGINNING. Details from the past come sneaking in here and there in the best ways possible.
4.5 Stars
“I know it could backfire on me. But to hell with it. I want my revenge…I’m fully aware of the trouble this will cause. It’s a lie…I feel better already…”
Tara and Faye have been the very best of friends. Growing up together they were inseparable. Then something happened that fractured their friendship…something that one can’t forget or forgive. Three years pass, and Tara finds herself getting ready to marry the man of her dreams and move to Australia to live out their happily ever after. But the past comes knocking on Tara’s door, threatening to destroy all she holds dear, and the dark secret she believes destroyed her friendship with Faye is about to come to light…or is it?
Buckle up Dear Reader because the author hooks you within the first few pages and makes this book impossible to put down! With the story being told from both points of view between Tara and Faye, the tale unfolds as each character reveals their little white lies…and how the truth never stays buried…no matter how much time passes… “Time. Wouldn’t it be great to have a button, to be able to pause, rewind, fast forward? Or a special box to put time away in and take it back out when I need it. But there is no button, no box. Time owns me…”
Not everything is as it seems, and if you enjoy a good psychological thriller, then I highly recommend HER WHITE LIE!
**I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own. **
This was a twisty and fun read, though was one of those books where a lot could have been resolved if the characters just talked to each other (if you read my reviews, you know this is a soap-box item for me :)). It centers on Tara, who is getting ready to get married and move from Dublin to Australia. When a body is found at the place Tara lived a few years back with her former best friend, Faye, suspicion threatens to put all of her plans on hold. The story is narrated in alternating POVs between Tara and Faye, and goes back and forth between the current time and 3 years prior when they lived together.
The author does a good job at causing doubt as it relates to any number of characters. Though I did figure out who the villain was, I questioned myself more than once, and wasn't sure if the narrators were reliable. That being said, there was a twist at the end that I absolutely did not see coming.
I was inexplicably bothered by the fact that the "past" was only 3 years ago- no good reason for this but it didn't seem that long ago for things not to be fresher in their minds- just a small nit that may not bother anyone else.
Overall, this was a fun read that I finished quickly. I'd recommend it to those who like psychological thrillers. Thanks to Netgalley for providing me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Tara Moore is a lucky girl she has the man of her dreams and after their fairytale wedding they will start a new life is Australia.
That is till a woman's body is found in a house Tara lived in 3 years ago.Tara didn't know the woman so why was is she the last person the woman phoned. Now she's the no 1 suspect and she doesn't know who to trust.
Tara has plenty of secrets in her past life and now the police are digging what will they find?
I was really gripped by this book there was plenty of twists to keep me hooked. would recommend.
Thanks to Netgalley and Hera Books for the ARC
A pretty fantastic mystery with plenty of twists. Just when you think you know you don't. Get ready for a wild ride!
Her White Lie by Jackie Walsh had me hooked from the very start. This one ticked all of the boxes for me as a dual timeline, dual perspective narrative that kept me guessing until the very end, and I devoured every word.
Tara is marrying Lucas, the love of her life, and the two are excited as they prepare to begin a new life in Australia. But when a newscast reports that a woman's body has been found at Huntley Lodge, Tara is immediately transported back to a time when she lived at the residence with her best friend at the time, Faye. The two friends have been estranged for years, but the discovery will bring them back into each other's lives, secrets from the past will surface, and the anatomy of a friendship gone wrong will be put under a microscope.
This is a must read from an author who has yet to disappoint. I cannot wait to dive into whatever comes next.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Hera Books for an ARC.
Tara and Faye were inseparable growing up but things change and Tara isn't really sure why...about to marry her fiancé and head of down under and live a new life in Australia, Tara is unsure what really happened with her friendship with Faye.
Faye on the other hand holds Tara responsible for everything that has gone wrong in her life and can't believe Tara can go on living her best Instagram life without even showing a bit or remorse for what she did to her.
The friends relationship seems beyond repair and even more so when the remains of a body are found in a house they shared together when they were at uni and it looks like Tara was the last person to see the victim.
Tara has her own secrets and just wants to be on that plane to OZ starting her new married life with the man of her dreams.
With Faye hell bent on revenge and detectives watching her every move, will that even be possible?
Really enjoyed this roller coaster read with twists you just don't see coming.
Great read.
Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to review this book, this is my honest opinion.
You’ll be hooked right away and won’t want to put this baby down. Unputdownable if that’s a word is one way to phrase it. Or just you won’t want to put it down!
I am obsessed with the domestic noir genre and especially stories about friendship and betrayal and lies so I was so excited to read a new one but it also means I've read dozens before so it really has to be a little bit different to stand apart from all the others with this exact same genre and plot..... and this did not disappoint! So chuffed to have come across a story i could get post in again and not the usual predictable, slow moving drivel. I dont know what it says about me and my own friends that I I love stories like this so much but yeah, you will definitely not regret picking this one up! Easily one of the better domestic noirs that I've come across
