Welcome back to the world of Bailey and Kash. The world of the elite, but the stakes are different now that Kash's secret is out and everyone knows that Bailey is Peter Francis' daughter. The conditions under which Bailey is able to attend school are completely different than when she planned to attend last spring. Now she is surrounded by bodyguards and chauffeured to school like the privileged woman she is, even if she dislikes everything about it.

It doesn't really hit Bailey why she needs these extreme measures, why she needs the protection, why she needs to actually be different. Her entire life has been thrown into a tailspin. Aside from her extraordinary brain, Bailey was basically ordinary and lead an ordinary life, but now everything is different and it's not just because she's Peter's daughter, it's also because Kash's grandfather has a target on her back and will stop at nothing to destroy his own grandson, which means hurting those closest to Kash.

Speaking of Kash, we get a lot more of him in this book. The man is intense and he's very intense about Bailey and how deep his feelings run for her...it's super hot. I have no idea when the man sleeps, although it is hinted that he really doesn't, because he's on top of everything. His business, Bailey, Bailey's siblings, Peter, his grandfather, Kash seems to be everywhere, but will it be enough to stop his grandfather from his nefarious plans?

If I had one complaint, I would have loved more from Bailey's siblings in this book, although we did get introduced to new characters, her college friends/classmates. I was missing the connections Bailey made in the first book, however, Matt does comes around more than anyone and he is at least a good relief to some of the intense situations, when he wasn't creating them himself. Of all the secondary characters, Matt definitely intrigues me the most, and I'd like to see more of his inner thoughts (perhaps Tijan will reveal those to us someday).

The ending is not only a big cliffy, but WOW! Mindblowing in a way of how Tijan could leave us readers hanging like that!?! It's going to be a long winter until we all have answers.

Was extremely lucky and excited to receive an ARC! It was the perfect birthday present.

The Damaged is book 2 in Tijan's Insider trilogy. It picks up where the first book leaves off. From the start it is a roller coaster and doesn't let up until the very last page. I could not put it down!

We find Kash and Bailey in a brand new situation as they try to navigate all the new things happening in their lives. Kash has been outed to the world as the grandson of one of the richest and most dangerous men in the world, as well as also being incredibly rich and powerful himself. Bailey is starting grad school and is no longer the anonymous girl she was used to. She's now the daughter of one of the biggest and most influential tech moguls.

There's so much to say but it's so much better to just go in and read. You meet, and immediately hate, Kash's grandfather. But we also get a lot of character growth from not only Bailey but also Matt, who endears me to himself more and more as the book goes on. You see Matt slowly become more of what he needs to be, but it's not without a lot of ups and downs with him.

There's definitely some craziness that happens in this book and the end has more twists than I could wrap my head around. However, it never gets too crazy and it all falls in line with the way this series is being shaped.

To say I can not wait for the next book would be an understatement!! Another great read by Tijan.

The Damaged picks up from the first book ended and my poor heart I honestly don’t know where to start . Tijan always drawn in right form the start .I couldn’t put down for the life of me it was that good . So many twists and turns that keeps me on the end of my seat . I am definitely looking forward to next book with the cliffhanger like that . I am dying to know what happens next !!!!!!!

Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of THE DAMAGED (Book 2 of the Insiders series), by Tijan, in exchange for an honest review. After everything that happened in the first book, Bailey is starting her graduate program late while dealing with some lingering PTSD. Bailey is now the focus of public attention. Everyone’s interested in Bailey because of her connections; she’s dating the wealthy Kash, and she’s the daughter of legendary computer genius Peter Francis. Bailey’s feeling isolated, and she’s floundering. Bailey and Kash have to decide whether they’re going to trust each other and move forward together or whether they’re going to give up and go their separate ways. Moreover, Bailey struggles to reach out to and connect with her new and existing family. While school is Bailey’s comfort zone, she finds, even there, she’s not safe.

I liked this book as well as the first in the series. It’s pretty intense. I find the jarring clash between the different environments Bailey’s navigating to be interesting.

A good bit of the book started off petty and immature. I had a hard time getting into it. The Insiders was more NA and it seems like we’ve backtracked to high school antics. This too YA instead of NA.

Bailey had changed a lot, which is understandable. I rolled my eyes so hard throughout this book. She was trying not to have the big head with who her father and boyfriend is, but in turn would throw Kash’s weight and power around. I didn’t like how she or Kash operated when it came to those situations (especially with Hoda). Hoda was in the wrong though, still Kash and Bailey were trying to be a bit too badass. Even Matt and the crew was all too much this go around. The issues Kash and Bailey were keeping to themselves could have easily been discussed. The last 10% of the book finally got semi decent. This was when the action started and unfortunately quickly ended. We lose someone very tragically but yet we don’t know for sure the state of others. The last chapter was very frustrating. There is this big twist coming and we are left hanging. I have no idea of where this person will fit in, they’ve never been mentioned and we literally know nothing about them! Hopefully it won’t be long to get the final installment.

Arc provided by publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

So much delicious drama! The fact that Kash and Bailey are so solid, it allows for me as a reader to really enjoy all the drama. I love seeing a couple work together against drama instead of it being between the couple. Kash is keeping Bailey out of some of the more dangerous aspects because he's super protective. Another thing that a I love to see. I'm a fan of both main characters but I gotta say Kash is the main draw for me in this series. He's the kind of hero that can be very dangerous to others except the heroine. He's super protective and puts her first. With that huge cliffhanger, I can not wait for the next book!

This trilogy is my ultimate guilty pleasure brand. Picture the book form of Scandal or How to Get Away with Murder, but instead of lawyers it's Mafia and Tech Billionaires. The level of drama is perpetually high and I was here for it. I love the relationship between Bailey and Kash. I was happy to see Bailey reaching for 'normal' with the grad school she had worked so hard to get into. Watching her strive to get back to some brand of comfort was so hard after her entire universe has been shifted and the traumas just keep coming. This poor girl needs a break!

Action packed. Drama filled. Angsty. Steamy.

**First and foremost, if you have not read The Insiders, please do so before jumping into this book.**

You know when you've been waiting for a sequel to a book and then you're let down because it didn't live up to your anticipation and/or all the hype? THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE BOOKS. REPEAT. (In case anyone in the nosebleed section wasn't paying attention.) This book is AMAZING! In fact, if you're a fan of the Fallen Crest series, you'll love this series too!

Kash fully opens up in this book and he has some of those Mason Kade qualities but a major difference is how he most definitely flirts with the other side of the law. His passion and love for Bailey...whew...where can I get me one of those?? I love that we get to see a more human, normal (if you will) version of him at times. I think it makes him even more endearing. Seriously, this man works hard, but loves him some Bailey even harder.

And I love me some Bailey. Her intelligence and wit are pretty incredible. She's tender with a select few, but she is most certainly battling demons. At times she has a bit of a Logan Kade snark to her, which we all happen to love. I think I enjoy her most when she lets others underestimate her and then...BAM. She's a bit of a sleeper, but girl kicks a$$.

I think what I loved most in this book is how all of the relationships in Bailey's life have begun to evolve and develop into something more. Hers with Kash is downright explosive. Her respective relationships with the Francis family members, specifically Seraphina and Cyclone were my favorite. But there's something about Matt. He's one who deserves his own book because there are a lot of skeletons in his closet, but he does have a heart of gold.

There are all kinds of twists and surprises, as you might have come to expect from the first book. I'm pretty good at sniffing out plot twists, but there were some that straight-up got me. One kind of made me ache and wish the next installment was ready to be published because... I CAN'T TAKE IT!!! I do know one thing... We need a crossover where Carter Reed and the Bennett family take on Bastian Calhoun!!! Call the calvary, Kash. It's on!

The Damaged was great, suspenseful novel and a classic Tijan plot story. We picked up with Bailey and Kash as they navigate through all the drama of their crazy lives. It gets a little repetitive but the plot keeps you wanting for more. It’s a great book and now I can’t wait for book three!

Tijan has done it again! The Damaged continues the saga of Bailey and Kash as they attempt to deal with their new reality. The world now knows who Kash truly is and Bailey is still suffering from the emotional trauma from her attempted kidnapping on top of starting her graduate studies. Kash's grandfather is a huge threat to Bailey and Kash's happiness. It isn't until the end of the book that you realize just how ruthless he is. As usual, I can't wait to find out what happens next in this series! I love how this book introduces a lot of fun new characters and also spins a multi-leveled web of drama that manages to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Tijan has done it again! She draws you into a world that you do not want to leave! This is book 2 in the series and picks up right where we left off in book 1. Tijan weaves the threads together as Bailey starts school and gets closer to Kash and her father and her new siblings. I have a new love for Matt, aka one half of Batt. Her brother seems to be stepping up for Bailey. I feel so much for Kash who seems to take on all the responsibility for keeping the people he loves safe. Victoria is still a witch, only on a much deeper level. Enter Hoda and Camille Story--two new villians in our story. The biggest villian of all is Kash's grandfather, Calhoun Bastian. This book is filled with suspense that kept me up all night reading. There are plot twists you will not see coming. I am in desperate need of a valium and the next book please. This cliffhanger is more extreme than the last one, be prepared. We need to see if Bailey has what it takes to keep her feet in the world of Peter Francis as his daughter. Can Kash and Bailey survive Calhoun Bastian's evil, and just who is the mysterious Chase Bastian--is he friend or foe? 5 amazing stars

The Damaged picks right up where The Insiders left off and OMG! This book sucked me in just like The Insiders did. I couldn't wait to see how Kash and Bailey's relationship develops and to see what comes next.

Baily is attending graduate school but with bodyguards due to all the attention she now receives as a result of being Peter Francis' daughter and also Kash's girlfriend. Plus with Kash's grandfather trying to get to Kash of course she has to be protected given that she's important to Kash. Their relationship is as intense as ever and just as steamy.

Bailey worked on developing relationships during the 1st book and she continues to work on developing relationships in this book. She makes some true friends through her graduate class. And her relationship with Matt is stronger as well. Matt actually surprised me in this book and I found myself liking him a lot.

This book fast-paced and definitely sucked me in and captured my attention. I couldn't wait to see what twists and turns were coming. Unlike the 1st book which I felt ended somewhat abruptly, I felt like this book ended well - although there is still a cliffhanger. I cannot wait for the next book to see who the mystery man is. I have some thoughts but won't share. (lol)

Tijan did it again! This is the second book in the trilogy that follows Bailey, an IT genius who in the previous book was kidnapped, drugged, found out who her father really was and fell in love with Kash. Bailey is now starting grad school. Kash is at her side and her new family is there to support her. A threat looms from Kash's past and the results are catastrophic. We get to see a softer side of her father and we walk through Bailey's PTSD along with her. The ending left me shocked and speechless!
This book was well written. The storyline was easy to follow. I can't believe the twists and turns that this book took and I am anxiously waiting for the last in the series!

"I love you. Do you know how much?"
"The depths sometimes amaze me. And other times.... And other times it scares me."

I can completely understand the title of the second installment of this rollercoaster. I've just finished this book and I might be actually damaged. This review is completely spoiler free b/c everyone should experience this firsthand but y'all aren't ready......
I absolutely loved The Insiders. Tijan always has a way of writing the most incredible stories, but she took this one to another level.
The Insiders introduces us to Bailey, her story, her family.
The Damaged picks up where that crazy cliffhanger left us. Bailey is getting comfortable with her new life, her new family. The tragedy from the previous book still lingers, everyone is trying to cope in their own way, Kash and Bailey are adjusting and still as amazing as ever. Bailey starts school and is trying to find her place there, trying to find her new normal. New characters from school are introduced, some I adored, others not so much. Kash is taking his role now and trying to deal with his grandfather..... Matt is still Matt (I'd actually love to see a novella for him when he gets his crap together :) )
I absolutely loved the football game scene. Everyone is always so on, so stressed, so serious. To see Matt and Kash so relaxed and fun during this scene was a breath of fresh air. "DEAL WITH IT" :)
This was honestly just such a page turner for me. Something happening on each and every page. This book does not lack drama, action, heat, secrets... You name it, it's there. I feel like Tijan gave us so much in book two. Trust is tested, new friendships are made, some friendships mending and a few actually broken. The Insiders was the introduction. The Damaged it all fell apart. I can't wait to see her put it all back together in book three. #SMPRomance

Broken beyond repair

You know when you're reading a book and it's like you see the images in front of you, like you're watching it play out? This book was that!

The glimpses of Kash you get in this book are so eye-opening! He reminds me of another puppetmaster (Donovan Kincaid) and the strings he pulls that so many don't understand. I loved seeing the relationships Bailey formed with her siblings, and I could identify with B about wanting to stay busy so that she doesn't concentrate on what Quinn did to her. In this book, we're presented with the villain who was pulling so many strings in the first book, we didn't know about. So many supporting characters come out in this book, B's fellow IT geeks are an interesting bunch.

I felt the bond Bailey and Kash developed, how much they fundamentally NEEDED each other and their physical connection was fire, but too brief. The book went by too fast, while I was anticipating the next revelation, the book finished. I can't believe how the book left off... it's going to feel like it's been ages until I finally get the conclusion to Kash and Bailey's story. Purely Addicting.

Cliff hanger???? Again????
Whhhhhyyyyyy!?!?
So now I’m impatiently sitting here waiting for the next part… I gotta know what happens! That ending just leaves so many questions unanswered.

I started reading this one and felt a little lost. It had been too long and/or too many stories in between the first story and this one. I had to stop and go back to book one. Happily re-loved that story and then jumped right into this one.
I’m all about Kash and Bailey. He needs to stop hiding things though.
Still hating Victoria. That cow!
Matt, I have mixed feeling on him.
Loving her new geeky friends.

I’m done. I keep re-writing what I’ve wrote because I hate to give anything away. This is part 2. Do not start with this one. You will be lost!

Tijan creates great stories and that continues with Damaged, the second book in the Insiders Trilogy. It is an emotional roller coaster ride. I smiled, laughed, swooned, and did the ugly cry.

This story is packed full of drama, romance, and suspense. Hold on because there are twist and turns in this story that will have you on the edge of your seat.

The love Bailey and Kash have for each other is beautiful and I can’t wait to see where they go as a couple in the next book, it cant get here soon enough.

I received an ARC from St. Martin’s Press through NetGalley for an honest review.

The Damaged is the second book in The Insiders Trilogy and it was SO GREAT!!!!! But, I'm not surprised because everything Tijan writes is just perfection. With an amazing story that sucks you in from the start and characters who stay with you long after the final chapter this Tijan at her best. If you haven't read the first one in this series go out and get it you won't be sorry. I can not wait for book 3!!!!

I don't think I have ever read any other character more worthy of the saying "he is holding the weight of the world on his shoulders". That is 100% fitting for Kash and I feel for him. He is determined, ruthless, calculating, the ultimate protector. A prepared one that thinks several moves ahead. And all because of his love for Bailey. That man is intense but it is perfect and needed because the danger keeps growing. When you read this book you are just waiting for the other shoe to drop. And what a drop!!! I can't wait to read more about all the new surprises. I want Kash to be victorious. I want Bailey to excell when she is expected to break. There is no time to break! She needs to be helpful because it's not over. And they really need to communicate better. Think of it as this story being the calm before the storm.

The secrets. The lies. The betrayals. The steam. I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS SERIES!!

The Damaged picks up where The Insiders left off, so you don't miss a beat in the story. I love Kash and Bailey's relationship and how it's evolving but with the pressures on them both, things start to crumble. Who to trust? Who's telling the truth? So many twists and turns and that ending..... my jaw is still on the floor! I can't wait for the next book!!
