Terrific all around health and wellness book. This isn’t a lose weight quick book. This a get healthy (realistically) and stay healthy. There are a lot of easy to follow recipes (pasta and pizza with real pasta and dough) that won’t leave you feeling deprived.

There’s a build your own workout section as well. This isn’t a rigid diet book. The goal is to find your why before you find your how.

Highly recommend. My only issue was a lot of the recipes call for dates and that’s not something I can eat. There’s no work around listed but I’ll be looking for an alternative to make it work.

Who doesn’t want to be Happy, Healthy, Strong?

This book has short blurbs about habits and food groups, but it is essentially a cookbook with some exercises included in the last chapter. The recipes do include nutritional information. However, some feel ridiculously simple. Do you need a recipe for Cottage Cheese & Chive Topping, which literally has the two ingredients and no other explanation? How about Tuna Rice Cakes or Apple & Peanut Butter? There is nothing new within the exercise section either.

If you are one of the millions of fans that follow the author on social media, you might enjoy Happy, Healthy, Strong. For others, including me, I don’t see much value here. 2 stars.

Thanks to Hachette Books and NetGalley for a copy in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced ARC of Happy, Healthy, Strong in exchange for my honest review.

If you are in need of a motivational book that focuses on food and exercise this is the book for you. There are easy to follow recipes that break down the nutritional information in each recipe. After the recipes there are exercises that are broken down along with pictures so that you can be sure you are doing everything correctly. A great book for anyone who is looking to live a healthier life and unsure about how to get started.

Nice cookbook but I was really looking for more of a guide on exercises than recipes.
Recipes are easy to follow and the ingredients are easy to find in your local grocery store.
This book was just not what I was expecting.
