My love of sport romances is unmatched, and Out of His League only solidified it further! Such a heartwarming and endearing story. I want my own baseball player now !

I thought this book was very cute! Everything about the characters and story drew me in. Overall, it was a quick read that I could not put down. I will definitely read more by this author in the future.

No, just no. I had high hopes for this title, the cover and title are pretty cute and catchy. There are not a lot of contemporary sports romances. But it was blech from page one, and then the insta love, and deception and whinyness of the characters completely turned me off. Not a lot at all that I liked about this title, sorry. Except their careers, female sommelier and major league player sent to the minors and dealing with that, that was good.

This was a super cute fun read. I liked the pace of the book. It’s definitely one that I enjoyed reading between all of my school books. The characters are relatable in personality, and can I just say that I totally want Sharla’s job! Gretchen’s sounds great too, but to travel and have that job, yes please!
I liked Josh. The down to earth type that can be as adventurous to match their partner, and that has a sense of humor, yeah, totally my liking. I really liked the way the sports aspect was interwoven in such an easy and casual way that it wasn’t over powering.
I do wish there was more development of the plot. Overall, it's a quick and easy read, but it would be great to see some depth added to the characters more than just their jobs, and some on the surface interests.

I loved the idea of this book and think it has potential with more editing and if it had more to the story.

Thanks to NetGalley for this eARC. Unfortunately the quality of the writing was lacking, and the plot was hardly existent. I was not invested in these characters.

This was a SUPER cute and quick, easy read, which I ended up reading in one sitting!
I would say it was almost an insta love romance, however in this setting there is nothing wrong with that! Gretchen and Joshua have chemistry from the start, and also - who doesn't love a sport based romance?
You will both laugh and tear up with this, but you will leave feeling like your heart is full!
I can't wait to see what else Caroline Richardson has up her sleeve, as I love her writing style!

I wanted to like this book because the plot is right up my alley - a baseball fan finds love with her favorite player. It was cute and the steamy stuff was fun, but I didn't buy the relationship between the main characters. There wasn't enough development between meeting and being madly in love and willing to commit their lives to each other.

This is definitely an insta-love romance, which honestly I didn't think I was going to like at first. The smut is front loaded at the beginning which made it feel like their relationship didn’t have a lot of substance. Which, to be honest I'm pretty sure it wasn't supposed to.
I really enjoyed this. I do think that feelings happened a little quickly, but I don’t fully mind since it is a romance. I think romances with athletes are some of my favorites and I want to read more. This book was cute and made me laugh and smile and the cover is super cute. I can’t wait to see what else this author writes.

This book is peak surface level, insta-love, fluffy book. There were not any major character arcs, or really any plot....and that's what I enjoyed the most about it! I started and finished 'Out of His League' in about 90 minutes. It was the perfect light read to add to my year in books. If you need a fun, quick read to meet your Goodreads goal this year: this is it! Josh and Gretchen were completely loveable characters and the book hooks you in from the start.

Overall, it was an ok read. I feel like everything happened very fast. I would have loved more time at the airport with them. I also feel like the writing was very choppy and sometimes was confused on how we got from point a to point b. I think if the story was fleshed out a bit more and we had more background and information about the MC’s it could be much better. I just never got emotionally invested in their love story.

Thank you for approving me for this title.
I don't really know how to start this off. The book was fine? It was a quick read and I think because of that, I couldn't really get attached to the characters, which mean I didn't care. It was a whirlwind romance between two characters who were never quite fleshed out the way I needed them to be. Of you're looking for a spicy, quick read, I think you'd like this. Otherwise, keep looking.

Out of His League was such a cute story!! I did almost have a hard time truly connecting with Gretchen and Josh in the beginning but I ended loving the relationship nonetheless. Overall it was a cute story and sport romance but it’s nothing too deep.

This book is so good! It is easy to read all at once I could not put it down! There were even some spicy scenes! I loved it!!

Out Of His League by Caroline Richardson was nothing more than a surface-level romance with underdeveloped characters and a fast-paced romance that left me wanting nothing more than to close the book and be done with it. It was an incredibly simple and boring read, and I wouldn’t really recommend it to anyone.

I was really excited for this book. Anytime a baseball player is involved, I am sold. However, this book missed the mark for me in many ways.
When Gretchen sees her favourite baseball player Josh, at the airport, she decides to buy him a coffee. Despite Gretchen having the worst day of her life, Josh invites her to first class as a way to thank her for the coffee and overall kindness she showed him. And then begins the relationship that sparks between the two.
Right away there was an instant attraction/lust between the two characters, which only means we have to expect a miscommunication and fight. That miscommunication did happen and I was not a fan of it. I felt like the book started in the wrong way and it took until the last few chapters till I actually enjoyed reading it. The ending was sweet, and I did start to enjoy the characters more than I did in the beginning chapters, but I felt like there was something missing.
Overall, this book was mediocre at best. The insta-love and miscommunication trope was not for me. If you are looking for a simple insta-love sport romance than this book is for you.

First off, I love all sports romances so I was super excited for this. It was cute, it really way and has several smutty scenes. However, you could 100% tell it came from wattpad which is fine! The conflict was a little silly to me but it didn’t ruin the whole things for me. Still a cute sports romance.
2.5/5

At this point any book that faces a cover that looks like this is an automatic read for me. To begin off with sports romances are always a top. They never fail to amaze me. And this one my friends made me laugh, and cry, and i don’t know it was just so heartwarming that I would willingly be reading this again! It was such a fun read and an adorable romance!

This book is okay. It’s a sports romance about a MLB player and a wine sommelier. The book is fairly smutty there are multiple sex scenes. So if that’s what your looking for, this book has it. The romance story line was fairly cute. The conflict was kind of stupid imo but like it didn’t ruin it for me. Not sure that I would recommend it unless you’re specifically looking for a short lighthearted smutty sports romance.

I’m so sad to say it, but this didn’t work for me. I initially hyped myself up for this because I instantly fell for the adorable cover and cute rom com premise, but I really didn’t vibe with this. The biggest dealbreaker for me was that I couldn’t connect to any of the characters. They didn’t have much in the way of character growth/development and overall just felt very flat and two dimensional. Instalove isn’t always a deal breaker for me, but when paired with lackluster characters it definitely is. I ultimately couldn’t get invested in the plot since I didn’t really care about any of the characters of what happened to them.
Despite my problems/misgivings with this book, I actually really did enjoy the author’s writing style and general plot concept. So while this one didn’t work for me, I would definitely consider revisiting this author in the future!
