This book was on my tbr for so long and once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. I loved the characters and the story. I read it on one sitting and couldn't get over it. It's hard not to fall in love with Gretchen and Josh. I can't wait to read more by the author!

This was a fun and fast read. It wasn't bad it just wasn't very memorable and I'm not sure I'd recommend it to others.

i am obsessed! i love sport romances books and this was just absolutely perfect. it will definitely be such a big hit on tiktok

When you meet your dream guy buy them coffee. If I had half the guts and luck the main characters did I be on my way to an airport coffee shop. I absolutely loved the best friend and hopes she gets a novel of her own as well. You don’t have to be a huge sports fan to understand this book but if you are it stays true to the sport. Super grateful to have read this book and definitely count this as a pick me up happy romance book. Has a different POV writing style at time of review which is refreshing to see events via both characters.

let me preface my review by saying that I am not an insta-love fan. it might be attraction based on looks but I don’t think you can really know someone until you actually get to know them.
THAT BEING SAID. I loved how quick and easy this one was to read! the characters were likable enough, the romance was STEAMY, but the miscommunication and lustiness (is that a word lol) was not it for me.
if someone (a sTRANGER MIND YOU) pawed at me with that shallow attitude for two minutes straight, I’d file for harassment lol.
the subplot was definitely not necessary but it was a nice distraction from the never ending gushy fest. the conflict in the entire thing is definitely unnecessary because if there’s one trope I cannot stand, it’s when the two characters won’t talk to each other and expect each other to READ THEIR MINDS.
okay maybe I do have feelings on this one lol :’)
but I absolutely loved the style of writing and the setting! if you’re looking for a quick romance read, definitely give this one a shot.
rating: 1.5 stars

A hot baseball player having fling in Vegas with a beautiful young lady? Yes, please; sign me up,. This was a super fun, hot romance. Definitely a quick read and one that readers will enjoy (especially if you have a couple if free hours, because you're going to want to read this all in one sitting)..

Thank you to NetGalley and Wattpad for this eARC in exchange of my honest review.
I don’t really even know where to start with this one. The Cover and the Description had given me such high hopes. But when it came down to it, there wasn’t much of a story here. I couldn’t connect with either character and much of the dialogue was dry until it came to the sex scenes. Which it seems is the entire purpose of this book.
I like 🔥 in the rom-coms I read, but not when it overpowers the entire story.

Out of His League features Gretchen and Joshua. Joshua is a baseball star who has just been demoted off of his team, and Gretchen is a wine expert who happens to be a huge baseball and subsequently, Joshua fan. When Gretchen finds herself close to Joshua in an airport, she decides to shoot her shot and buy him some coffee. What she doesn’t expect is to hit it off with him and embark on a steamy relationship. Joshua has never thought about settling down into a relationship, but Gretchen comes along and suddenly he pictures it all.
I thought this book had a lot of promise. I really do love the trope of a celebrity crush turn romantic love interest, however, I feel like the plot moved a little too quickly for my liking. I really like a slow burn or even just a little build up to getting together. Gretchen and Josh got together pretty early on and then although they faced struggles, the book dragged on a little bit for me. There were aspects that I loved in this book though, such as their chemistry and the character development. I really did love Gretchen and Josh as well as Gretchen’s best friend!

‼️ New review coming atcha!

I am going to preface this by saying this is a Wattpad book. The formatting of the ARC on my kindle was… something. It randomly chopped sentences into different lines and was a whole task trying to read. I did not count that against the books rating, it’s merely my observation that quite literally no one asked for.
Three things:
1. It’s insta-love. I honestly could buy into it in this one, where usually I cannot. I am a total mood reader so this may have just caught me at the right time.
2. It’s spicy-ish🤷🏼♀️🌶. I’d give it 2.5/5 🌶. I would say more spice in the beginning.
3. I enjoyed learning more about wine, and baseball. I don’t know all that much about either so I found reading about a sommelier and a baseball player pretty interesting.
If you’re not looking for a super serious book, and just want a fun, quick sports romance… would recommend!
I will definitely check out more in the future from this author.

Josh Malvern is approaching a turning point in his career. Battling injuries, an RBI lower than in his prime, and nearing the end of his contract, he is brought down from the majors to a farm team where he got his start. On the day of his demotion, he meets Gretchen Harper, a Toronto sommelier on her way to a conference on the very same flight as her favorite ball player.
Debating whether or not to ask for an autograph, Gretchen opts for a less-obtrusive option: she buys him a coffee. Their romance is instant; the two have an immediate connection that extends far beyond their two-hour flight.
If you're looking for a mindless, easy read with a happy ending, this is for you, While the book lacked substantial character depth and conflict, Richardson's debut novel is is full of passion.

I loved this book. Characters that make you fall in love with them and root for great things to happen for them! Sweet and funny a great beach read! Of course with the perfect ending!

It was ok. I liked how sports was involved and talking about baseball was very detailed. I wish the author went into more detail about character development or maybe their backstory. I feel like if the characters had a dramatic background of past relationships it would have bought more drama to the story line. Maybe if there was a past girlfriend or boyfriend that popped up that would have been fun to read about.

This was a cute and simple romance story. I didn't feel a really deep connection with the story or the characters but it did keep me entertained. The plot was a tad bit lacking.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing an eARC for a review.
I want there to be more baseball romances in the world. So I really really wish this book, which starts with a solid idea for a meet cute, had been better. The baseball details didn't feel real to me. I don't expect total accuracy in romance novels -- contemporary or historical -- so I might have given it a pass had the rest of the story worked. Unfortunately, rather than the backstories/motivations of the main characters, we get side plot after side plot, all tropes that wrap up too easily, exactly as expected. They felt like filler and we never learn more about the main characters than what's provided in the summary.

This book is HOTTTTTT! I enjoyed it but will admit that it did drag on a bit at the end. This was the perfect read since baseball season just ended and I'm already missing it so much. I recommend it though even if you are not a sports fan. It has plenty of romance and spice. It's a nice, quick read and I enjoyed it very much.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! It was such a cute and easy read but also deep enough to make you feel invested in the characters and the relationships. I have never been super into baseball but I loved reading about the ins-and-outs of how the clubs work. I also loved the sommelier aspect and learning more about their career as well! I devoured this book in one day. This was my first read by this author but will definitely not be my last.

If you're looking for a quick and easy romance book surrounding baseball with some spice, then this is probably the book for you. I thoroughly enjoyed Out of His League, and would definitely recommend.

I just couldn’t get into this one. The motivations behind the romance felt unnatural and just not genuine. The writing was fun, but it felt super unrealistic.

I will have the full review up on my bookstagram account @meetcuteromancebooks closer to the release date. Gretchen and Joshua’s chemistry is so good!! It’s a cute story and the main love interest is in baseball.

Ugh. I don't know what to say. I thought it would be a cutesy little love story with fun characters and adorable little scenes. Though, it was all about lust. There was so much of, 'omg, he turns me on.' I did not want to see that in this book.
