ARC received for review
It was just okay. Sweet, short romance. I like the dog more than I did him, and I'm not an animal person.
Thank you to Netgalley the Author and the Publisher for the ARC!
I think that this was a super short and sweet read with a nice dose of steam. I do wish it had been a bit longer so we could've connected to Amy and Bruno as characters separately, but their relationship as a whole as well. While I didn't mind the jumps in time, I also feel like seeing the development from the first couple of nights to the progression of being in love would've been a nice touch.
This is on Kindle Unlimited, so if you are looking for a sweet read that pulls on your heartstrings a little I think you'd really enjoy this. It only took me about an hour to read so I think it would also be the perfect read if you are in a reading slump and need something short and sweet to snap you out of it.
This was a short, fun, sweet, steamy novella. When Bruno comes to Amy’s life she wasn’t open to a relationship. However, he decided to use his charming and fun personality to get the vet’s heart.
I read the book in one sitting and enjoyed Lana’s style. It was quite pleasurable way to spend some hours. However, the end felt a little rushed to me. If there was at least another chapter it’d be a five-star reading, in my opinion.
I recommend this novella if you are looking for something short to read before bed or when you have some time for yourself.
And if you like this book, there are more in this series and you can grab them for free with KU.
I received the copy of this book from NetGalley and this is my honest review.
Surrendering to the Commando is a quick, easy and captivating read that showcases the tender heart of a Alpha SEAL, and the woman who guards her own, but is powerless to resist the fire that ignites when their stars align. Amy and Bruno are interesting, and likeable characters and their romance is heartfelt and passionate. A thoroughly enjoyable story that keeps the reader engaged.
This is a good read.
Amy and Bruno have great, steamy chemistry.
It was one of those books that felt too short. I wanted more of them. LOL
I’ll be looking forward to new books by Lana Siren!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an arc in exchange for my honest review.
This was a sweet/sexy story - that definitely pulled all the heart strings. Amy is a veterinarian and a widow. She has experienced a lot of loss in her life and has guarded her heart strongly ever since. When she meets Bruno - she opens herself up to a no-strings flings. Bruno - however has other ideas about what they are and will be to each other. Bruno is a Navy SEAL who is almost to the end of his military career. He's ready to embark on the next stage of his life - and finding Amy is the cherry on top for him.
This story is definitely on the novella end of things - so be prepared to somewhat rush through Bruno and Amy's story. That doesn't diminish the romance - but the depth of what happens and their relationship isn't as far reaching as it could have been.
Overall - I enjoyed this a lot - even though Amy kind of drove me a little crazy....
I received it as an ARC from NetGalley, but these opinions are all my own.
I wanted more!
I enjoyed this short story very much. By the end I was invested in their story and wanted more. As I read through the middle, I wanted more in depth of her heart ache and loss. I wanted his side so very much. The writing was done well and didn’t leave me confused with the time jumps. I hope to read more in the future from this author.
I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
Bruno and Amy seem like an unlikely and awkward combo but somehow it works. I do have to say this seemed very rushed and I do wish it was longer.
I was given this book via NetGalley for my honest review.
I want to start off that I don't really read military romance books, my husband is almost at his 20 years in the Navy and it just hits to close to home. That being said, I really enjoyed this book! I loved the chemistry between Amy and Bruno, and how Bruno really is a gentle kind soul which shines through in this story. I do have to say I wish the story was a little longer, which is never a bad thing, when you love the characters and want more. The author does an amazing job of telling a story of a woman who has a tragic past and how she is struggling to get over it. I could really relate to Amy in her way of dealing with people after all the death she has been through, because I am the same way. A wonderful story and I will be searching out more books from this author.
While this was a fun read and I did enjoy it I found it quite predictable and it could have been so much more
Bruno has put in his papers to retire from the Navy where he is working as a BUDS trainer for the Seals after serving for his twenty years. While on a early morning run he discovers a badly injured dog "Shawna" and he awaked the new vet in town so she can treat the hurt dog. When they bond over the injured animal Bruno decides he wants more but Amy has lost to many people and animals in her life and is determined to protect her heart While she is fine with an affair when Bruno tries to get serious she sends him away this is where the story fell down as it felt rushed from this point on. Will he win her over you will have to read to see
Ugh! I was so loving this story only to look down at the percent read and I was at 65%!
Amy and Bruno ended way to soon. I wanted to learn more about their past, present and what they wanted for a future.
Although is short it was really quite cute.
Would love to give it 5 stars but felt that its just too short.
