Description
Fate at Work. Expect Heat and Steam. The stars align and pair a closed-off widow with a confident soldier.
Pulled from slumber, Dr. Amy Krol has to assess in an instant whether to open the door to a blood-covered, built brute. Living near the Naval base, she recognizes a warrior. She does her job, but when it’s over, she knows she was right to be cautious. Bruno poses great danger…to her broken heart.
During an early morning run, Navy SEAL Bruno Lombardi finds a critically injured dog and carries her to the closest clinic. He doesn’t hesitate to wake the veterinarian, a petite blonde whose trust is even more difficult to earn than the wounded animal’s.
Amy can’t resist their incendiary passion but warns him that it’s only temporary. Nevertheless, Bruno is on a mission to get the sassy, beautiful vet to lower her defenses.
Surrendering to the Commando is a stand-alone novella in Letters of Love+Lust, a steamy, full-of-heart series exploring what happens when smart, sophisticated women find love and passion in unexpected places with strong and sensitive men.

Ugh! I was so loving this story only to look down at the percent read and I was at 65%!
Amy and Bruno ended way to soon. I wanted to learn more about their past, present and what they wanted for a future.
Although is short it was really quite cute.
Would love to give it 5 stars but felt that its just too short.
I was given this book via NetGalley for my honest review.
I want to start off that I don't really read military romance books, my husband is almost at his 20 years in the Navy and it just hits to close to home. That being said, I really enjoyed this book! I loved the chemistry between Amy and Bruno, and how Bruno really is a gentle kind soul which shines through in this story. I do have to say I wish the story was a little longer, which is never a bad thing, when you love the characters and want more. The author does an amazing job of telling a story of a woman who has a tragic past and how she is struggling to get over it. I could really relate to Amy in her way of dealing with people after all the death she has been through, because I am the same way. A wonderful story and I will be searching out more books from this author.
Surrendering to the Commando is a quick, easy and captivating read that showcases the tender heart of a Alpha SEAL, and the woman who guards her own, but is powerless to resist the fire that ignites when their stars align. Amy and Bruno are interesting, and likeable characters and their romance is heartfelt and passionate. A thoroughly enjoyable story that keeps the reader engaged.
This was a short, fun, sweet, steamy novella. When Bruno comes to Amy’s life she wasn’t open to a relationship. However, he decided to use his charming and fun personality to get the vet’s heart.
I read the book in one sitting and enjoyed Lana’s style. It was quite pleasurable way to spend some hours. However, the end felt a little rushed to me. If there was at least another chapter it’d be a five-star reading, in my opinion.
I recommend this novella if you are looking for something short to read before bed or when you have some time for yourself.
And if you like this book, there are more in this series and you can grab them for free with KU.
I received the copy of this book from NetGalley and this is my honest review.
