This was cute and charming with a fun cast of characters. I don't usually like insta-love but the way this one was written ended up being fun. The overly confident attitude worked for me. I didn't like how long this was and the amount of details that went into some of the scenes. It really felt like it could have been trimmed down a bit. I found it dragging and was ready for it to end, only to find out I still had about 30% of the book left.

This book was a breath of fresh air during a month of meh romance for me! From the very first page, I LOVED IT! Insta love is not always my fave, but man did Silas win me over with his unapologetic flirting and deep love for Maggie *swoon*
Here’s what else:
•Great blended and found family. Seriously, it was so dang heartwarming. I loved every character.
•Great dog - Kevin is the best!
•Small town setting
•Home renovations - I’m an HGTV nerd so this was perfect for me!
If you loved Part of Your World, I think you should pick this one up, it’s definitely got a similar vibe happening!
If I’m being picky, I wish it was a bit shorter and in first person POV, but I want every book to be first person…..soooooo….

Title: Maggie Moves On
Author: Lucy Stone
When Maggie Moves on started I was afraid I was going to hate Silas. He comes on strong with his flirting but I was pleasantly surprised that he was also a very caring man so it was easy to like him. And honestly, he’s a great book boyfriend.
The rest of the characters were also really likable and showed growth and figuring themselves out as the book went on.
The overall story was cute and funny. And there was a little bit of mystery thrown in. All in all Maggie Moves On is a great romcom.
Thanks to Netgalley and Forever for a copy of Maggie Move On in exchange for an honest review.

This is a steamy and fun romcom that takes place in a small town. This book is filled with flirty banter, steamy romance, mystery, and so much more. As soon as I saw the cover on this book, I knew I wanted to read it! This book unfortunately fell flat for me. I didn’t enjoy the characters or romance, I felt like I just couldn’t connect to it. I know a ton of others loved this book, so I highly suggest checking their thoughts on it! This book just wasn’t for me.
Thank you Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book was absolutely adorable! I loved Maggie and Silas' relationship. And don't even get me started on Kevin the dog 🥰
This book made me laugh as well as cry. It is an absolute must read!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I loved this book. It has the perfect spice and the perfect characters. I laughed and teared up and smiled and Kevin was the true star of the show.

I was not able to get into Maggie moves on. I tried reading it a few times though I kept putting it down. Thank you Netgalley and publishers for the chance to read and review.

My face hurts from grinning, this book is SO GOOD. I could not put it down (no lie, I kept reading even while going to the bathroom, haha!) The fast-paced, witty dialogue reminded me of the pacing between Rory and Lorelei on Gilmore Girls. I fell in love with not only the main characters of the romantic plot, but all the side characters - their families, both birth and found, were just incredible. Locy Score is a genius, that's all there is to it, and I am looking forward to reading more by her!

Amusing, absorbing, and incredibly romantic!
Maggie Moves On is an alluring, heartwarming tale that takes you into the life of the successful, house-flipping YouTuber Maggie Nichols as she juggles the biggest renovation she’s ever tackled, a business partner that’s ready to settle down, and a sexy, persistent landscaper who’s always available to share a smile and lend a hand.
The writing is warm and fluid. The characters, including the hardworking, sassy Maggie, the flirty, deliciously handsome Silas, and the adorable four-legged Kevin, are unique, fun-loving, and endearing. And the plot is an uplifting, lighthearted tale about life, love, family, friendship, tension, attraction, self-discovery, reconnecting with the past, special moments, community, and finding a place to call home.
Maggie Moves On was one of my most anticipated reads of 2022, and it didn’t disappoint. I purposely didn’t read any reviews for this book as I wanted it to be a complete surprise, and boy am I happy I didn’t because I loved it! How much did I love this book? Well, let’s just say if I had to be stranded on a deserted island with only one book, I’d want it to be this one. It’s funny, sweet, sexy, and downright swoony, and if Lucy Score was granting wishes, I’d be asking for each supporting character to be getting their own book.

promises stories that make you snort-laugh, swoon, and sob, and if that doesn’t perfectly describe this book…! Maggie is a super popular YouTube influencer who goes around the country flipping houses. Her latest project is a historic mansion on a hill in Kinship, Idaho. It’s a spot that has a brief but poignant place in her heart. The town is reeling from the loss of one of its biggest employers, so having the opportunity to get back to work has most of them embracing the project. Silas, a lifelong resident and landscaper, is determined to win not only the contract, but Maggie’s heart.
I seriously have a list of things I loved that’s a mile long. Silas’ blended family that meshed so well together (love that the moms made sure to assure others it hadn’t always been as easy as they made it look.) Kevin. Wallace. Cody. Michael. Niri. Kayla. I loved every character so much–and despite the large cast, I felt like each one was unique and well-developed. Lucy counterbalanced things so effortlessly. While characters cautiously guarded their hearts and emotions, they also welcomed with open arms. This book had me heavily in my feels. The setting–Kinship, Idaho– was an interesting change of pace, and the secondary storyline linked to the Campbell mansion was unexpected but delightful. At times, I was slightly annoyed/ frustrated with Silas, but I appreciated Maggie’s reaction in those situations.
If you like Tessa Bailey, you’ll love Lucy Score! I can’t wait to dig through her backlist! Thanks to Forever Pub and NetGalley for a digital review copy.

This one follows Maggie, a YouTuber fixer upper who flips properties for a living. She buys a Victorian mansion in Idaho for her next project and there enters Silas, the small-town landscaper. From the moment Silas lays eyes on Maggie, he is head over heels. The story takes off from there and keeps the reader engaged all throughout.
What I loved:
-Maggie is independent and only relies on herself to get things done
-This book was HILARIOUS. I was laughing all throughout
-Kevin, the sweet and naughty pup
-The queer representation
-The scenery, sunsets, and landscaping descriptions made this small town seem like a dream
-MCs in their 30s
-Spicy scenes
-Supporting character cast
I cant wait to see what Lucy Score comes up with next!

Not only is it release week for this amazing book, but it’s also moving day for me! 🎉
I read this a few days ago and ended up completely avoiding packing for a few hours because I needed to finish. 😂 If you love HGTV, men who fall first and fall hard, found family, and a rambunctious pit bull, then please read this book!!
I definitely related to Maggie in her hesitations about love and commitment and the real need of her heart to be fiercely and loyally loved by someone! 🥺
Easily a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read and one I’ll absolutely be re-reading! Along with going back to Lucy Score's backlist!
Thank you so so much Read Forever for the ARC! Please pick this one up and get immersed in the small-town charm!

5 Huge Feel Good Stars!!
I expected to like Maggie Moves On. I had no idea I would fall in love with this book and the characters the way I did. Lucy Score has such a talent for not just putting words on a page but doing it in such a way that the reader is pulled completely into the story. Not only did I become attached to ALL of the characters, I felt an attachment to the house they were remodeling and the area as well. Oh and let's not forget the chemistry between Maggie and Silas. Three words...."off the charts." Of course my favorite character next to Silas and Maggie had to be Silas' dog, Kevin. Best dog ever. Actually he's the worst behaved dog ever which makes him a fabulous character. Everything blends together perfectly in this book to provide an entertaining piece of escape.
Let's just say I loved this book so much that I had to move to a completely different genre for my next read. There's no way it would have been fair to any other romance novel to follow this little gem. Absolutely no way.
We all need a Silas #sexylandscapeguy

Maggie Moves On is super cute, with addicting banter, awesome characters - including an adorable pit bull I wanted to jump through the pages to smush - and a really entertaining storyline that kept me laughing the entire time. The fixer-upper plot was seriously fun throughout, seriously making me wish I was handy instead of a klutz! Lucy Score did an incredible job bringing the house to life on the page, and I really loved how the house itself was essentially another character.
The characters were all perfectly written, each weaving seamlessly and bringing something to the storyline. And while most of the book was full of laughs, there was the perfect amount of romance + steam sprinkled throughout. I was admittedly nervous going in since it is written in 3rd person, which I normally don't enjoy, but it was written in such a way I didn't even mind it. This was such a fun read, and I highly recommend it!

This was so cute! I loved the whole premise and the relationship between Maggie and Nicholas.
I adore Lucy Score, and she did not disappoint with this one.

Maggie hardly ever takes a break. She would rather work herself into the ground than let up for one second. She has built her brand doing this exact thing for 10 years. So when she buys this huge home in Kinship, Ohio, she is ready to flip the house and move onto the next one.
She did not expect Silas. A flirty landscaper that promises her that if she just gives him a chance, he could change her life.
Found family feels like such a huge theme throughout this whole books and it’s one of my absolute favorite things in books, so I ate that up.
Lucy always writes with such depth and I can always appreciate that about her, but I have to admit that the gold robbery story was not my favorite tie in that she has done. It was still enjoyable, but just not my personal cup of tea.

In short: Maggie, YouTube star and house flipper, is in Idaho to work on her next season. While renovating the Victorian mansion she also starts to fall in love with Silas, a local landscaper.
What I enjoyed:
🔨Opposites attract
🔨The setting (as someone from Idaho I envisioned this taking place in McCall, Idaho. Have you been there?)
🔨The dog 💜
🔨Family drama
🔨The sparks between Maggie & Silas and self discovery that they both went through.
Final thoughts: I really enjoyed this cute, small town romance with a bit of steam, great setting, home improvement show vibes and family drama. Highly recommend!

"and while that's true, success is only a very small part of life. that's not how you want to find happiness. because, at the end of the day, your quality of life is determined by the people you surround yourself with. the significant others, the partners, the sisters, the friends, the team you choose. the people who have your back. the people who celebrate your wins and mourn your losses with you."

maggie, a very successful youtuber and house flipper, has a new project in idaho and silas was hired to help her. silas' confidence and goofy personality were just some of the reasons why i insta-loved him. despite all the efforts, maggie tries to ignore him because she doesn't want to get attached to him because all she does is finish the project then proceed to the next one.

i didn't expect that this story would have a little bit of mystery and KEVIN, the naughty dog on the cover! there's also some family drama here. overall, lucy score's writing style will always be one of my favorites.
