YouTube sensation Maggie Nichols, is known for her brilliant home transformations and for the fact that when the job is done, she always moves on to the next one. But when Maggie lands in the small town of Kinship, Idaho, this renovation is the one that just might change her life completely...

Maggie Moves On was a hilarious and entertaining story about the incomparable Maggie Nichols, and the people who adore her. Including her newest fan and love interest... local landscaper, Silas Wright.
This book was such a delightful and incredibly enjoyable read! Maggie was an inherently independent woman who worked hard to achieve every ounce of her success. Growing up with a complicated family dynamic, she had her fair share of reasons why she avoids relationships and staying in any one place for too long. But Kinship and it's fabulous people will soon show her just how great it feels to finally belong somewhere...
Silas is a hunky landscaper who is all about family togetherness and putting down roots. As the polar opposite personality to Maggie, he is the perfect person to show her just what she's been missing by all of her relationship avoidance, and just how great that could be... *together*
This story was not only a sexy and cute romance, but it also had an engrossing mini mystery added in! From stolen coins to the homes fascinating history, there was so much to learn about the old Campbell place, and the amazing renovation that Maggie achieves... inside, and out!
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

Maggie Moves on is a small town romantic comedy set in Idaho. This is my first book by this author.
The book alternates between the male and female 3rd person POVs.
The female narrator is 34 year old Maggie. She renovates and flips houses for her very popular YouTube channel. She is ambitious. But she does not let people get close to her.
The mansion that Maggie is renovating needs a lot of work. Sexy Silas is a landscaper. He is a flirt who is bossy and overprotective. He believes in fate.
I loved that Maggie had a YouTube show and that she flipped houses. I loved that she was renovating a mansion. Kevin the dog was so much fun! I liked Maggie's business partner Dean. I loved Silas' family. But I'm not a huge fan of alpha male antics.
The book has some LGBT supporting characters, which added so much to the story.
This was a fun sexy rom-com that also featured a bit of a mystery. I really enjoyed this book!

My first Lucy Score book is in the books...I have heard so many things about her books so I was excited to start this one plus I'm an HGTV junkie.
Things I Loved: I love Silas' family, so much love for all those humans. The dog and the kittens. Maggie and Dean's dynamic. Cody and how everyone supported him, this was truly the best subplot and added so much to the theme of found families. I loved how Silas was able to get Maggie out of her head. I was so drawn into this story and the family they created. Five dollars. Grumpy Wallace was the star as well as Kevin (the dog). Great banter and unique career/settings. Theme of signs in life and things falling into place.
Things I Didn't Care For: It was a bit too long for me, we had a lot of sub plots and day-to-day life things that didn't really add to the story as a whole. I would have liked to observe Maggie's relationship develop with her sister. Silas came on a bit too strong in the insta-love game for me in the beginning but this also got way better over time!

Some of my favorite things about Lucy Score’s books are the banter she writes and the depth of her characters. This book is a perfect example of both! The conversations between Maggie and Silas felt both genuine and entertaining. Maggie is funny, independent, and also lonely (even though she doesn’t realize it at first). I love that she - like the characters around her - has a lot of dimension. Silas is a pusher, a lover, and a great friend.
Another thing that shines in this book? No unnecessary drama preventing them from trying a relationship! I hate when clearly avoidable or easily resolved issues keep characters apart.
More things I loved:
🔨 the conversation regarding the worth of women — not as parents or partners but we individuals.
🔨 the queer representation
🔨 hot landscaper guy
Most of all? I absolutely love that the book illustrates how families comes in all forms and that family is a choice we can all make. There is room for everyone to be loved and cared for — biological relation or not.
I would recommend this as a comforting read sprinkled with humor and love.

Another day, another Lucy Score book I am absolutely in love with! Maggie Moves On was everything I love about a Lucy Score book. Hilariously entertaining from beginning to end. Maggie and Silas’ chemistry was hot and undeniable. Silas though!?! Oh my gawd, there is just something about the guy falling first that turns me into puddle of thirsty girl goo. I could not get enough of him. The way he did any and everything to show Maggie he’s interested and not just for a good time but a forever time; swoon, swoon, swoon. He was incredibly thoughtful, romantic and honestly I was just a straight up goner for this man. He is for sure rivaling all her other heroes for top spot of favorites. Maggie was as stubborn as the days were long but this created such a delectable tension between her and Silas. Their banter was hysterical and gave me endless laughs. I also couldn’t help but fall in love with the charming and quirky Kinship, Idaho and all its delightful residents. Emma Wilder narrated and the way she was able to bring each individual character to life just wowed me. She absolutely slayed this story.

Another five star book from Lucy Score!!
Maggie is intent on moving town to town to grow her internet show. She definitely hadn't planned on falling in love with a sexy landscaper, his dog and a whole town.
These two are pure romcom magic!! I loved their banter, their sass and even their arguments! A must read!!

I should have known that I needed to adjust my expectations for this book. I truly thought that this book was going to be similar to her previous books. But yet, I was disappointed with this one.
Maggie Moves On was the typical rom-com book with its opposite attracts trope in a small town setting. It seems like the perfect romance book to fall in with it. Yet, it’s a bit different from Lucy Score’s previous book. Something was missing in this book. Don’t know what, but something is missing.
If you are into small town romance with opposite attracts tropes, then this book is for you. You get to enjoy their romance with the dual POVs. And you will also get to enjoy reading about the side characters. You will want their stories as well.

Maggie Nichols is a popular YouTube star, known for her incredible house flipping. Her latest work in progress is an old Victorian mansion with a rich history located in a small town in Idaho. One of the locals she hires to help her out is landscaper Silas Wright, who is not only a great landscaper, but is very attractive and oh so flirty. He is determined to make Maggie fall for him and the town and get her to stay in Idaho. However, Maggie has zero interest in putting down those roots when she can continue to travel all over. But as the summer goes on and the physical walls of the house start to go down, so do the emotional walls both Maggie and Silas put up to protect themselves, giving Maggie some tough choices to face for her next steps in life.
I love a good small town romance with quirky side characters and a fun history, and this book had all of those things with a fun HGTV style twist. All of the characters really added to this story and made it so much fun, although my personal favorite had to be Kevin the dog and all of his silly antics. I adored the message of creating your own family and the unique and loving family created between Maggie, Dean and Cody.
I’m usually not a fan of insta-love but for some reason instead of annoying me, Dean’s insta-love made me laugh. His determination to get Maggie to stay in Idaho was so sweet, even if it happened very quickly, and I love that he never wavered on that plan. Also, the chemistry between the two was on fire. They were such a great couple and I was rooting for them from the very beginning.
This was my first book by Lucy Score but definitely won’t be my last. Thank you to Forever Publishing for the advance copy.

Thanks to Forever publishing for the free book.
I literally smiled the entire time I read this book. Oh my gosh, I fell hard for Maggie, Silas, and especially Kevin. Score writes such humorous banter, characters that jump off the page, and a fun plot. I love home renovations in books, and this one works so well. I think this will definitely be one of my favorite romances this year. I liked how Score fleshed out her side characters and their predicaments. I was invested in every single character and could read full stories about each of them. I will be reading this author again, and I can't wait to see what she does next.

Maggie has closed herself off after her mother's passing, moving-on after each house flip. She refuses to put down roots in any one city. Her latest renovation home is personal to her and so is the town, Kinship, Idaho. The mansion she's chosen to renovate has a rich history in the community and is shrouded in mystery after uncovering a rare coin.
This YouTube home renovator meets a hot landscaper, Silas, who's a helpless flirt. Their meeting ends with Silas in his underwear chasing his dog, Kevin, around the yard and him trying to take her truck.
Unfazed by his smolder, Maggie has no time for love or so she thinks. Their forced proximity on the project creates undeniable lust and desire between the two. The hammering in Maggie heart is real this time. This romance was enjoyable from the premise, the characters, the subplots and the witty banter. Silas not only likes to get dirty in the yard, he likes to dirty talk in the sheets. Maggies Moves on is full of fun feels.
Thank you Forever for the advance reader copy.

This was a cute opposites attract read! The banter between Silas and Maggie kept me laughing. I was captivated from the first page. Perfect quick summer read.

Such an unassuming cover for such an amazing book! This book is a slump killer. I was sucked in from the start. Youtube sensation Maggie moves into her newest project...a large victorian in, as her partner says, "where the F, Idaho." It is a massive project and one she has an instant connection to. She and partner, Dean, are quickly pulling in local tradesman to work on the project, including "hot guy landscaper" Silas.
Y'all....I LOVED Silas and Maggie. It has been a long time since I've read chemistry like these two have. He is bold and brash and total type A but also so super sweet and kind. Maggie is not one to get walked over so these two are at each other from the start as they do not always see eye to eye. I loved Maggie's passion, her dedication to her people, and her fierce independence. Silas was her perfect match. Oozing confidence and charm, he always focuses on doing the right thing and defends those he loves to the max.
The side characters only add to this book. You come to adore the grumpy grandfather type, the wayward teen, the partner looking for love himself and the mischievous dog, Kevin. And the moms...oh how I loved the moms! I could not get enough of this book and did not want it to end. The finale was super satisfying and with the inclusion of found family, swoony scenes, and a setting to die for, this book is simply a hit. A solid 5 stars!!

This book has everything! Small town romance with some spice. Great family stories are told. I really enjoyed Maggie and Silas’ relationship in this story. I feel in love with so many of the characters. Lucy Score did a great job of bringing these characters to life.

Lucy Score does it again! I recently discovered Lucy Score and immediately fell in love with her writing style. Romance / rom-coms are my jam and I find that she wonderfully injects equal parts romance, humor / whimsy, and steam in all of her books (well, the ones I've read so far). Her story-telling is exceptional - all of her books tell a unique story with a bit of seriousness to them. MAGGIE MOVES ON eccompasses all of those elements. And oh, did I mention that she always includes a cute, mischievous pooch in her books? As a dog lover, I love that! One other thing that I love about her books is that the MCs are in their 30s or early 40s. I find that so refreshing as most of the romance books that I've read always feature younger MCs. While I do enjoy the books, the age makes it hard for me to relate to any of the characters as I am 40 years old.
MAGGIE MOVES ON is about a YouTube star named Maggie Nichols. She and her best friend / partner (and ex-husband), Dean, travel all over the country and flip houses. They share their house-flipping adventures with all of their one million YouTube fans / subscribers. Maggie's and Dean's latest flip lands them in small-town Kinship, Idaho, where they tackle their biggest house-flip yet - the historical, Victorian, Campbell mansion. Maggie ends up hiring a hunky landscaper named Silas Wright (and his adorable, rambunctious pitbull, Kevin). While Maggie finds him attractive, she is on a mission - she is adamant to finish the flip in four months or less. Quite simply, she doesn't have time for a relationship. For Silas, on the other hand, it's love at first sight. He dials up his flirtation and is determined to get to know her and break down her emotional walls. Lo and behold, his persistence wins her over and they begin a torrid, short-term fling.
The more time Maggie spends in Kinship, the more confused she gets about what she wants. She's worked so hard to get to where she's at, but is she finally ready to plant some roots? Or should she move onto the next flip like she's done in the past? Not only that, Maggie learns of the Campbell mansion's storied past but realizes that pieces of its history are missing. The more she works on the house, the more invested she gets into solving the mystery of the house.
Right off the bat, I was getting Trading Spaces vibes! I totally imagined Maggie as Paige and Silas as a blond Carter Ooosterhouse! I thought the story was great and I loved all of the characters in the book. I'll admit that Silas laid it on pretty thick in the beginning of the book to the point that it was cringeworthy, but he quickly won me over. I loved the mystery aspect of the book and learning about Maggie's backstory. That being said, if DIY / home renos, small-towns and the enemies-to-lovers trope are your thing, then you will enjoy this book!
Thanks so much to NetGalley and Forever Pub for the complimentary eARC! The book is out now, so go get yourself a copy of the book - I already did!

🧰 What home renovation projects do you tackle? Maggie Moves On by Lucy Score had me wanting to reno my house ASAP.
📝 Maggie is a famous YouTube star! She fixes up the most dilapidated houses, and turns them into dream homes. Then, she's off to the next. Maggie's next project is her biggest yet, a huge mansion in small town Idaho. There, she meets the flirty landscape architect, Silas, and his wild dog, Kevin. Between Silas and the warm community of Kinship, Maggie might rethink moving on when the project is done.
What I 🤍:
😍 Love at First Sight (For the Guy)
😂 Endless Hilarious Moments
🏚 Historical Mansion
🐶 Dog That's Always in Mischief
😠 Grumpy Old Man Character
💕 Found Family
🪙 Treasure Mystery
🎵 Classic Rock & Country References
This might be my NEW FAVORITE ROMANCE! I laughed out loud so much, and adored all those Kevin 🐶 scenes. The supporting characters were SO wonderful, and I loved how developed they were. While this is a romance, I felt the plot had so much more going on, which made me also fall for everyone in this town.

Steaminess: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Read If ➡️: Anyone who loves HGTV, Fixer Upper, or small town romances.
My only complaint is that Maggie on the cover of this book DOES NOT match her description at all. She was described as a tomgirl next door. She's a house flipper. So, I wish the cover artist had read the book more closely.
Be ready to listen to Maggie's classic rock and Silas' country boy music! Also, the ending 🖼 was SWOONY!!!
Thank you 😊 so much @readforeverpub and @netgalley for my #gifted copy of my new favorite book!

As a Lucy Score fan, I always love exploring her different fictional small towns and the spicy love stories that come with them.
This time, she takes us on a wild ride in Kinship, Idaho where YouTube house-flipping sensation Maggie Nichols just bought a historical fixer-upper for her next major project. This project also involves recruiting the help of local landscaper Silas Wright who seems convinced that Maggie is the future Mrs. Wright. There's just a big problem with that: Maggie is a rolling stone who does not believe in setting roots at one location. So even if she is attracted to him, their future together may be short-term.
One must give props to Silas' charming resilience. This adorable alpha-rolls definitely knows how to flex his dimpled smile and his small-town community to rally for his campaign to be Maggie's one true love. Even though his pitbull Kevin does steal the show once or twice, Silas proves himself to Maggie's match through his kindness and confidence.
I love many things about a Lucy Score read, but there are two that I adore the most and this read is no exception. I love a good mystery that slowly unravels itself as we go through the book, and this time, it is Maggie's past. I love that when it is all said and done, the secrets she hides totally make sense with how she is as a person. The second element -- which is probably my favorite -- is how the community always comes together. We go through the journey of meeting everyone along the way, and it always leaves a smile on my face when they pull together at the very end. Even the ones you least expect to join in.
This is a standalone read, though if you are a Lucy Score BRA, this definitely gives some Mr. Fixer Upper vibes.
** I am voluntarily reviewing an advance copy of this book. Thank you to Lucy Score, Netgalley, and Forever for providing an ARC. **

Loved this one. Definitely lived up to the hype that I had set for myself. The characters were phenomenal and everything followed incredibly well. Thanks for the chance to read this I really enjoyed it!

This book was perfect… I could not put it down and read it cover to cover in one day. I just adored Maggie and Silas, their chemistry, their banter, their teamwork and how they just fit together. The book was a fully developed well rounded work of romantic comedy gold, and had the heart and depth that I have come to love from this author. And Kevin the dog is the unsung comedy hero of this book. I truly hope that we get more books in this world… run don’t walk to read this book.

Maggie Moves On is the first book I’ve read from Lucy Score. This romcom dives into home renovation, small town life, family dynamics, insta love/ sunshine grump. I enjoyed this cute story! I liked that the couple was their mid-to-late thirties which was refreshing. My favorite character in the book was Silas’s adorable pit bull, Kevin. I also loved the small town vibes and the community feels. The side characters and subplot really make this book standout as I wasn’t a big fan of the main characters. I had really mixed feelings about Silas. Silas comes off as this over confident, charming, full of life character which I didn’t mind, but I wasn’t a fan of how strong and insta love he came off on the beginning and at times, he is way too presumptuous which was off-putting. As for Maggie, I felt like we didn’t really get to know her as a whole person until the last quarter of the book so I wasn’t as invested in her for a main character. Though I loved the storyline and the side characters the most, I found the pacing of the story to be too long. There were a few places where I skimmed since it seemed like nothing was happening and other times where too much was happening but very little was being explained. Overall, this was a solid 4 star read for me. Definitely recommend picking this one up if you love home renovation and/or sunshine grumpy romance books!
