Happy publishing day to this feel good romance! Thank you NetGalley and Forever Publishing for an ARC copy of this book. I loved this small town meet HGTV love story! Sweet, a little spicy, with characters that had so much depth. I loved the way that author uncovered more and more about Maggie as the story went on., and saw so much of myself in her!

Do you believe in signs? Silas Wright does. The moment he lays eyes on YouTube sensation Maggie Nichols, he knows she's the girl for him. Maggie and her partner, Dean Jensen, have come to the small town of Kinship, ID, to restore the Old Campbell Place for her internet home renovation show. As soon as she wraps the last episode for the beach house they just finished up, she'll roll up her sleeves, work her magic on this Kinship house and move on to her next project. It's what she does, and does best. She’s spent her adult life rootless, moving from one reno to the next.

Maggie may like the landscape plans Silas has for the Campbell place, but she has a firm rule never to date one of her contractors. Sure, his easy charm, effortless flirting, and compassion for others are appealing, but her lists, schedules, spreadsheets, and timelines leave little room for a good time and none for a romantic relationship. Except the more time she spends with Silas, the more she gets drawn into his world, his community, his family, and the beauty and majesty of the nature that surrounds them.

The Wild West is steeped in history, especially in Kinship, and the Campbell place has its share of secrets. Something Maggie should feel right at home with, since she has her own share of them. As the secrets slowly unfold and work on the house progresses, the Universe takes the opportunity to teach Maggie a few life lessons she never dreamed of, and may be slightly reluctant to learning.

A Lucy Score book is side-splitting laughter, hilarious mishaps and even madcap hijinks. But it’s more. So much more. It's heart-rending emotion, stunning profoundness and heart-soaring delight. And Maggie's story is even more, with this historic home renovation having the unintended consequences of cobbling and collecting a family, finding a home and learning what happiness truly means.

Is it possible for this book to become a series? (*wink, wink* Forever Pub.). This is a world I want to live in forever. I want to move to Kinship and become a part of the fabric of daily life there. There are many grand parties to come at the Old Campbell Place and so many characters to get to know a lot more about. And I definitely need more of Kevin, the big butterball goof who flunked out of service dog training.

With a quirky, endearing cast of secondary characters, a charming small-town setting, and poignant surprises that hit all the right notes, Maggie and Sy's romance has “best seller" written all over it. This enchanting, emotive, phenomenal romance is one of the best I’ve ever read, one I’ll return to again, and one you absolutely won’t want to miss!

Oh this book was adorable just the cover with little mischievous Kevin had me intrigued. A small town romance where the guy falls first yes please! I fell instantly in love with both Maggie & Silas. The very first meeting between the pair, Silas was head over heels for Maggie I mean he was already referring to her as his future wife lol! Silas was definitely a charmer & either you like that or you don’t & the way Lucy wrote his character I really enjoyed it. I thought he was funny & very flirtatious but it didn’t come off as to much. He just wanted Maggie to give them a chance. He was so caring, kind, giving, & a handsome landscaper who had such an adorable dog. Maggie was bit closed off at first but, began seeing what it would be like to have family/friends (aside from Dean lol). She is very hard working, determined & didn’t want to depend upon anyone if she could fix it herself. Coming from her past it was understandable why she had built the walls she had. Silas was able to work with her & help her understand it was okay to have someone there for her. I loved the side characters Silas family, the crew & Cody they all added to the story & it’s humor.💕 Overall, I really enjoyed this book the flirtations banter, adventure & adorably messy dog.
Lucy Score congratulations on another great book! Happy Release Day!!

3.5 Stars

Maggie and Silas were a lot of fun. I did enjoy their connection, although their meet cute did strike me as a little off, but also as you get to know Silas, it starts to seem in character. So, while I was not sure what I thought about it at the beginning, by the end it was amusing.

I believed in the connection between them and the attraction felt authentic and real. It developed in a way I believed and the attraction felt genuine.

Parts of this did drag a little and I did think that the book was maybe a little too long, but not badly enough that it pulled me out of the story enough for me to stop reading. I do think there was possibly too much time spent on other characters and the town, but they were also amusing stories about the other town inhabitants, so while it did pull out of the story, it was amusing on it's own.

Overall, I enjoyed and recommend this title.

In this lighthearted read, Silas slowly breaks down Maggie’s resistance to a romance. It’s a fun, witty story with endearing characters. The plot was very entertaining and enjoyable. *this was a complimentary copy from the author and this is my honest review*

While I’m usually all about the hero, there is no denying that Maggie was just too much the type of person I’d call a good friend to not love everything about her. She really knew how to respond to Silas’ flirtatious banter in a way that had me grinning from ear to ear. With a unique career and a strong work ethic, I was totally entranced with her story from the very beginning. I immediately needed to know how everything was going to play out for her.

Silas was amazing! He was stinkin’ cute with his quips and forthright attitude regarding what he wanted from Maggie. What might have been just lighthearted flirting, caught on fast, and he was soon sincerely wooing the woman of his dreams. He was straight up swoony with his actions to win her over.

I absolutely loved this fun, lighthearted read with a storyline that pulled me in and characters that attached themselves to my heart. Silas’ family were hilarious adding to the quick, witty banter that fills this story. So too do a few other characters that added dimension to the story along with some moments that warmed my heart. This was a longer read but had a fast pace. The angst was low and while the chemistry between Maggie and Silas sizzles when given the leeway, it does not consume the storyline.

Overall, I loved this cute, fun story and despite the perfect epilogue, I hope we get to see some of them and possibly the town, in the future.

Maggie Moves On was my first book by Lucy Score, a romance author I've seen recommended a lot. Unfortunately, based on this one, I'm not sure I'll be picking up another anytime soon. While this book really didn't work for me, I do think it was more of a "me" issue, than anything *wrong* with the book. So I definitely encourage those who like Score's books, small-town romance, or who like the sound of the synopsis to give it a try.

While at first, I was enjoying the small-town charm with a side of cheese, especially with Silas' quips to Maggie, it quickly went from entertaining to a bit immature, borderline cringey for me. I wasn't sure if I should actually be taking Silas seriously for most of the story. I found the character development to be a bit slow and the pacing of getting characters' backstory to be a bit off. By the end there were so many subplots that combined with some weird pacing, I was just ready for it to be done.

Thanks to the publisher for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Maggie Moves On was just one of those satisfying reads where I thought everything fell into place in such a way that I had a hard time moving on from it after.
Maggie Nichols is an up and coming YouTube DIY star who comes in and fixes houses up into dream homes.... then she moves on to the next one. Because of Maggie's past, she doesn't feel like she can put down roots. Her next stop is the small town of Kinship, Idaho to fix up the mysterious Old Campbell Place, which for Maggie holds a special place in her heart. She meets her match in Silas Wright, the local landscape architect who bids on the project and falls head over heels for Maggie at first sight. As they work together to fix up the run-down mansion, they make a fascinating discovery about the mysterious background of the mansion and Maggie finds herself falling for Silas and longing to stay in Kinship even though it's not what she does. Can Silas convince her that she is meant to be with him?
I loved Maggie Moves On for it's emphasis on found family and the definition of home. The supporting characters, especially Maggie's business partner Dean and Kevin the dog, were so fun and just added to how much I love this book. Oh and the ending was just one of my favorites for a book in a long time, I rarely cry and this one just was so so perfect.

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for the eARC in exchange for my review, which is my own thoughts.

This was my first Lucy Score book and it was charming and delightful!

Maggie and Dean, her best friend/business partner flip houses, share their work on their popular YouTube show, and their current project is a rundown, neglected mansion in Kinship, Idaho. Silas, is the hot, local landscaper, who falls for her at first sight. He also has a bacon-eating pitbull named Kevin.

Maggie is an independent, successful workaholic and Silas is a successful, mostly laid-back cinnamon roll. Their relationship is sweet and sexy and even though it’s pretty obvious how it’s all going to work out, Score makes the road entertaining and draws you in with the relationships, great dialogue, and genuine connections between the characters.

The story is well-written, with a large cast of secondary characters, and a couple of mysteries as secondary storylines. One of my favorite parts of this book is the create your own family aspect, and the sense of community that Maggie and a couple of other characters benefit from. My other favorite moment which is very romantic is near the end of the book, a sign that Maggie and Silas are fated mates!

Definitely recommend this as a low-angst, sweet and entertaining romance!

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I really enjoyed this book! It was fun seeing Maggie grow to love the town of Kinship. Silas’s pursuit of Maggie was so so so so cute, a bit much at times, but cute, and I loved their banter at the beginning. It was also great seeing Maggie get past some of her fears. The characters were a lot of fun and this book totally reminded me why I love books about small town romances. There were so many layers to this book and I was absolutely here for it! It’s a great summer read.

Maggie Moves On by Lucy Score is about a YouTube sensation, house flipper Maggie Nichols and her partner Dean Jensen. They finish one project, and it's on to the next one until she purchases a Queen Anne Victorian in Idaho sight unseen, Old Campbell place. The plan is to complete this project in four months with a local team to assist with things they cannot handle. The locals include Silas Wright, Bitterroot Landscaping, in charge of the outdoor area, including the horse fountain. Wallace Pfeffercorn was a volunteer at the Old Campbell House and Museum; he's the local historian. Some local teenagers were trying to break into the house to drink awful beer, and their punishment was to come back to clean up. There is a local tale about a stagecoach robbery and missing gold. The locals have opened their hearts to Ms. Nichols, and she has returned the favor.

Maggie Moves On is the eighth book by Lucy Score I've read, and if you know anything about her writing, it's never simple. There is an unlining story with Maggie Nicholas and, another happening with Silas, yet another with the locals. The story keeps you entertained from the first page.

Simply incredible. Maggie Moves On is a new favorite! 6 stars! The characters, the attention to detail, the build, the house, and even the dog. There were so many amazing moments filled with so much feeling. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and completely fell in love with Maggie and Silas. This story was perfection.

Maggie and Silas were truly the best. I instantly loved Silas and his flirty ways, he was so charming and sweet right from the start. This man made me melt! I loved Maggie and her in charge attitude and all she’d accomplished and overcome. I understood what she wanted and the conflict it created since Silas was in hot pursuit. They had undeniable chemistry with a playful banter that was sexy and fun. There was an excellent balance between the humor and heat (oh my with the heat!!!). I loved them opening up, learning their history, and being vulnerable. There were so many wonderful scenes between these two that had me laughing and others that were full of so much emotion. it was a very well-rounded story from beginning to end.

I think I loved the secondary characters just as much as I loved Maggie and Silas. I wish I could mention every one of them and just how important and meaningful they were. I loved how their stories and history mixed in with the overall storyline and the wit and cleverness they brought. I loved the family Silas and Maggie formed with them, the friends they find and bring into the fold, right down to the animals, it was everything. I really enjoyed Silas’s family as well and all the different dynamics that were taking place. There were so many moments that filled me up and made my heart happy. Besides the romance, there's a beautiful story about the house itself and the original owners that added a layer of mystery to it all. I loved all the hints and clues and the dots connecting along the way, giving the story an extra special layer that made it even more fulfilling.

I make no secret of the fact that Lucy Score is one of my favorite authors. I feel like she weaves magic into her stories, bringing them to life, making my world just a little brighter. That 100% happened with this book. It was an incredibly well-developed and detailed story with a phenomenal build and I had a really hard time putting my Kindle down and getting anything done. I couldn’t wait to find out what would happen next.

Maggie Moves On was extremely entertaining with laugh-out-loud moments but it was also filled with so much emotion and heart and healing… plus a touch of adventure! Fantastic read! 6 stars!

This was an adorable, low angst story with a Hallmark movie meets Fixer Upper feel.

“You are the surprise of a lifetime.”

Maggie and Silas are a fun and steamy pair. A little small town mystery and a cast of quirky characters make it a great feel good read.

Lucy Score’s “Maggie Moves On” is my first time experiencing Score's writing. In her new book, we are gifted an opposites attract love story mixed with a slow burn romance for more than just one couple.

Maggie is YouTube sensation who spends her days flipping houses, providing families with a place to put roots while she refuses to do so. She has a tough exterior thanks to less than ideal childhood. Her no nonsense attitude pair with her laser focus keeps others at arm's length at all times. That's until she meets Silas. Silas comes in like a wrecking ball, refusing to allow Maggie to keep her walls us. Boundaries don't mean much to Silas, or his messy dog, Kevin, but thanks to his desire to love Maggie regardless of her distaste for romance, an unlikely love story unfolds.

I have read and loved several books by Lucy Score. This book is no different. Maggie is a woman with a YouTube channel showcasing her restoring houses to flip. Her newest flip is a mansion in Idaho that has significance to her childhood. One of the contractors she hires is landscape architect Silas. For Silas, it's love at first sight with Maggie....he knows she's the one. Interesting story, great cast of side characters and story lines. It's more than a romance, it's a woman finding her home, helping others, and repairing relationships with her family. I received an ARC from NetGalley but have also purchased a print copy to share with friends. 4 1/2 stars.

In celebration of Maggie closing in to getting her 1M follower on her YouTube channel, she decided she wants to tackle on her biggest project yet! An old mansion in the small town of Kinship, Idaho!

Okay so first of all, obviously I adore small town reads so I really enjoyed this one! Plus Kevin the dog is so adorable!

It was also very interesting to learn about YouTube content creation and stats. This is also heavy on construction content, I could understand probably only 10% of it -and only because I was a regular at Home Depot for some 3 years of my life 😂

I love Maggie’s character. As someone who also constantly moves throughout her whole life, I can totally relate to her main conflict in the book. I’m not usually a fan of the insta love trope but Silas is so charming you can’t help but love him 😂

I loved the representation of an unusual family dynamic and all the types of relationships in the book as well!

The only reason why this book is not a 5⭐️ for me is because I feel like there were so many things going on that it takes away the highlight of the story from the main leads. I hoped there was a separate book for each of the characters vs all of them being packed in a single book.

Other than that, I still very much enjoyed it! Plus I got super excited when they mentioned my bday date as their wedding date 😂

I loved this!
It was funny, sweet and surprisingly steamy.
This reminded me a lot of Tools of Engagement by Tessa Bailey. The heroine is trying to prove herself and the hero is a cinnamon roll trying to help her. The side characters were great too (especially the dog!)
Would recommend this to anyone who loves romcoms.

Aww, I loved this book so much! It reads like a spicy HGTV home remodeling show in a beautiful small town.

In true Score fashion, the cover is deceptively tame because there were some salacious scenes between Maggie and Silas. Silas, much like Kevin the therapy dog drop-out, is just adorable and a big fluff ball. And, there’s a fully developed plot about the previous owners of the house. The previous owners left behind intriguing clues that leads to a quest for answers.

The true shining stars of the book are the side characters and Maggie’s relationships with them. I found the dynamic between Maggie and Dean heartwarming and their personalities balanced each other out. Maggie has a complicated family history that played an integral role in her character growth in the later part of the book.

If you like small town steamy romance, mysterious home renovations and found family, be sure to check this one out!

Thank you NetGalley and Forever for a copy of the book.

After reading Things We Never Got Over and falling in love with Lucy Score as an author, this one was a smidge of a let-down. I can’t pinpoint exactly why, but something was missing. Her books are long, and with TWNGO, I literally craved it every time I had to put it down. I NEEDED TO FINISH! Not the case with Maggie Moves On. It would drag for awhile and then I feel like important parts would wrap up in a neat paragraph, idk it was weird.

Some things that I loved:
-Silas’ blended family and how well they grooved together
-Kevin and the kittens (Kevin is Silas’ dog and there’s nothing better than a dog with a name like Kevin)
-the mystery that was intertwined within the story
-the town of Kinship
-the cute banter

Wasn’t a fan of:
-Maggie as a character, I couldn’t connect with her and found her a bit unlikeable even though she did a lot of good things for other people
-the scenes where Silas would just take Maggie away and put her in a kayak for the day to get her away from the hustle and bustle; it was just weird to me, again, something was off
-the epilogue; everything and every character wrapped up in it’s own paragraph

I’m still a HUGE fan of Lucy Score and need to read her others, but this one wasn’t my favorite and I’m so sad about it haha
