I really enjoyed this book. This was the first I've read from Lucy Score. I fell in love with both Maggie and Silas right away. I loved the house project they were working on together and how they chose their family. It was a great story with a lot of laughs and tears. Lucy really showed two sides of the "family" spectrum and she was able to bring them together in such a really neat and realistic way. I am looking forward to reading more from Lucy.

I really enjoyed this book. I've read several of Lucy Score's books & this one is up at the top of my favs. Maggie is a relatable character that the reader can empathize with; the secondary characters are real and I enjoyed seeing them and enjoyed their journeys as well. I enjoyed that the whole story wasn't totally about the show & there were community experiences sprinkled throughout. The ending tied the story up nicely & didn't leave questions. I would recommend this book to lovers of humorous romances.

Reading this wonderful story left me with a big smile on my face. A small town contemporary romance with all the charm of fixer-upper, a big, messy family, an odd-ball canine, just the right amount of steamy romance, and a bit of a mystery/treasure hunt to boot. Maggie is a YouTube home renovation star that stays on the move taking on projects around the country along side her best friend and now out of the closet ex-husband. Silas is the hot landscaper she hired who comes barrelling in to makeover more than just the grounds of this estate. The chemistry, slow burn and focus on finding and building healthy and honest relationships that keeps it roots firmly planted in family, self-respect and honoring ones own truths and paths just gave me so much joy! Hello, healthy human dynamics and personal growth-I’m here for it! The best part is that pertains to all the characters in this wildly diverse, quirky and inclusive cast of characters. The story of the town of Kinship, the elusive tale of Campbell home and the wonderful mysteries within was left me with all the feel’s I’m looking for in a feel-good romance and escape. I had never read anything by Lucy Score prior and happy to say she has a new fan and reader in me! Thank you net galley for gifting me this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Maggie has an amazing career as a YouTuber documenting home renovations. Once the home is completed and sold, Maggie moves on. It may be lonely but she’s wildly successful and her career is blowing up. However, when Maggie moves into and starts renovating an old Victorian mansion, she gets more than she bargains for- both in terms of putting down roots in the town and in the history of the house.

This was a super cute, slow burn romance. Although I did enjoy the love story, the real star of the book for me was the relationships between all the characters and the community. Of course, I also loved Kevin, the adorable dog! I also really enjoyed the historical storyline interwoven into the story.

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for the advanced reading copy!

This is a good book. The two main characters are Maggie and Silas. Maggie is a home renovator and blogger and Silas is a landscaper. Maggie is renovating an old house where Silas lives, she needs a landscaper. She hires him and there is a mutual attraction.they each have their issues from an absence father, an jealous stepmother, learning to trust, and wanting to protect someone. But together they work it out and fall in love.

I really enjoyed this book. The journey that both Maggie and Silas went on was a wonderful one. Their love story is beautiful. All the side characters were great and they added so much to this story. My only wish was that we would have been given a proper epilogue.

I was lucky enough to be given an ARC of Maggie Moves On by bestselling author, Lucy Score!

Maggie is the star of a home renovation show on YouTube where she goes city to city, buying and flipping houses. Her newest project, an old and neglected mansion in small town Kinship , Idaho is her biggest challenge yet. When Maggie hires local landscaper, Silas, he’s determined to show Maggie that sometimes the best things in life come when you choose not to move on.

•Loved the comment sections at the end of chapters. Truly what the internet is like these days.
•Slow burn but also instant love.
•After the slow burn, the book has a bit of spice throughout. Silas has a bit of a dirty mouth on that boy!
•Sweet and heartfelt with plenty of funny moments.
•The last section of the book (not really an epilogue) was really interesting. It kinda reminded me of the end of a movie where they put up a freeze frame picture of each character and tell you where they each ended up. Not sure how I felt about it at the end of a book? 🤷🏽‍♀️

Overall, this book was good and enjoyable but doesn’t stand out for me. Lucy Score does a great job building her characters, I just found the story a bit fluffy.

Thank you so much to NetGalley, Grand Central Publishing and Lucy for allowing me to read this! Maggie Moves On comes out June 20th, 2022!

This was my first Lucy score book and I would definitely try out another one. Have you read any of her other books? What is A book that didn’t quite live up to your expectations?

Fab read. Maggie's clips houses and moves on. It's what she has done for years. When she meets Solar will that change?
Loved the epilogue to see what happened next

i LOVED this book so much!!!! This is one of my favorite stories in a while. I loved the youtube / hgtv aspect of it plus the small town remodel. And Sylis is the perfect book boyfriend. It’s a beautiful story and Lucy Score has become an “instant buy” for me!

I could not adore this book more! HGTV, meets treasure hunting, meets small town, meets mix family fun!!
I say it every time I read one of her books, but Lucy just writes characters and their emotions so perfectly.
I am easily distractible and this book was able to hold my attention and make me feel what the characters felt, as they felt it(sound silly, but makes sense haha).
Nothing in this felt rushed and the slow reveal of pasts and important information was done so well.
Clearly I could not love it more & I think anyone who loved The Love Hypothesis would absolutely love this fun romcom!!

4.5 stars for this beautiful book! I devoured Maggie Moves On in less than 24 hours! Maggie is a strong independent woman who thinks she knows what she wants and that’s moving from place to place rehabbing old homes. Silas is a small town landscaper who is loved by all. The only reason I knocked a half star off was Silas was a little too much for me at times. Don’t get me wrong I love when the Hero helps the Heroine find her way but at times he was just too overbearing for me. But everything from the side characters to the pets to the house and it’s story had me completely hooked to the end!

I went into Maggie Moves On expecting a cute romance about two people falling in love during a home renovation but I got so much more than that! Lucy Score’s novel dives into the idea that family is something you can build and define for yourself. There is also a very intriguing side plot adventure in the last half of the book that I can’t get into without potentially spoiling something.

What I liked: Of course, Kevin the dog was a highlight of the book for me! I also loved Cody’s character and his role in the story. Overall, I found myself very attached to the supporting characters (I can’t forget about Wallace!!) and they really added to the narrative. As well, if you are looking for a book with some spice, Lucy Score brings the heat.

What could be better: I enjoyed this book but I didn’t LOVE it. I have read a few home renovation romances at this point and this one didn’t really stick out to me. I didn’t find that I connected with Maggie and Silas as much as I did with the supporting characters.

I have read a few other books by this author and Maggie Moves On is not my favourite of her books. I would give this book three out of five stars because I enjoyed it but it wasn’t remarkable. You might like this book if you are looking for love at first sight, Youtube stars, and a hilarious dog.

I loved Maggie Moves On by Lucy Score so, so much. I wanted to go and live in this town, and I definitely want stories for all the other characters!

Maggie Nichols runs a super-successful house-flipping YouTube channel. She's seriously close to hitting 1 million subscribers, and hopes flipping a century-old Victorian mansion will push her over the edge. She has her time in tiny Kinship, Idaho planned - and it doesn't include hot, charming local landscaper Silas Wright. Silas has lived in Kinship his whole life, and knows and is known by everyone. Maggie's nomadic life couldn't possibly suit him.

*Sigh* This book was wonderful. Score did such an excellent job creating these multi-dimensional characters that just seemed to move right into my brain. The DIY-details were not over-the-top, which was nice. The best part of this book was the side characters. Silas has a huge family that is all up in everyone's business, and Maggie has a partner who was awesome.

Score served up a book about love, home, and found family that is just perfect. I can't wait to read more from this author!

Absolutely loved this book!

Maggie is a house flipper, with a channel on YouTube. The next house is in Idaho, a place she remembers from her childhood and the biggest project to date.
She meets Silas, a landscaper she employs on the project. he makes it clear from the outset that he wants a chance with her - she has always been clear she is leaving - can he convince her otherwise.
Loved all the side characters and how it is told from both of their points of view.

Insta love/lust has never been my favorite book trope but wow, I loved this book. Maggie Moves On follows Maggie while she prepares to take on her biggest home renovation project for her YouTube show. She has to hire a bunch of local tradesmen, including Silas, the landscaper. From day one, he is flirting and asking her out, which I usually find a bit annoying, but I loved seeing their relationship grow. The backstory with the home and townspeople makes the book have personality and depth. If you love a home reno, HGTV setting for your romance books, I would definitely recommend this one. The spice, storyline, and characters all come together perfectly in Maggie Moves On. Anyone who loves Lucy Score's other books should 100% give this one a read.

Adorably cute romcom read! Great characters, small town charm and a hint of mystery make this an excellent read!

I'm a sucker for the whole enemies fixing up an old house plotline, so Maggie Moves On by Lucy Score was right up my alley.

Maggie Nichols heads to a small town in Idaho to restore an old Victorian mansion, and she has a time limit. Silas Wright is the landscaper hired to work on the yard, but he's definitely more of a laid-back figure who immediately likes Maggie and wants to get her to slow down (and ideally, stay put, with him).

There's lots of flirty back-and-forth banter and plenty of chemistry between the main characters. It's not exactly a slow burn, but we do get to see their relationship build through small, everyday interactions that feel really authentic.

My favorite thing about this book is that Silas falls in love with Maggie first. He's sweet, sexy, and just a little bit possessive, but he's also hopeful that she'll return his feelings. He never just expects her to catch up - he waits.

As usual, Lucy Score weaves a wonderful story filled with colorful side characters. She manages to show how the main characters learn and grow outside of just each other. I loved Silas's family (they all jump off the page) but my absolute favorite "character" was his dog, Kevin. I mean, is it really a romantic comedy without the funky dog?

Maggie Moves On has plenty of steam, with multiple descriptive scenes in really *unique* locations. Silas is definitely a dirty talker! While I found some of the steam to be a bit unrealistic based on my knowledge of female anatomy (it usually doesn't happen in 60 seconds without the guy even trying?), the word-play and descriptions are sizzling, so I could overlook that.

Generally, this is a really sweet story that shows two people coming together in a wholesome way!

Lucy Score's books are always a fun, light-hearted read. Maggie Moves On followed in her past books and it was a quick, fun read.

I enjoyed the plot and found myself laughing out loud while reading it. However, I did find the plot to be a little predictable at times.

Yet another phenomenal book from Lucy Score!

I am a sucker for a great small town romance that can give me all the feels. I laughed and felt all the emotions between the two. They have incredible flirtatious banter and a chemistry that melts off the pages.

Our hero, Silas, is just the biggest sweetheart. He is a landscape designer who ends up working with Maggie who flips houses. Maggie is super gold oriented and doesn’t always easily see what is right infront of her.

I swooned HARD for this book! I absolutely would recommend this as a must read.
