Maggie Moves On by Lucy Score is a great contemporary romance that I thoroughly enjoyed.
I loved everything about this book. The location of Kinship, Idaho is cute, unique, and Idaho is a totally underused gem of a backdrop for this adorable romance.
Maggie, with her commitment issues, fear of rejection, a past, and DIY- renovation talents shows up for her next project. Her plan to renovate, record, succeed, and move on is thwarted by the extremely handsome, sassy, lovable, and at times halfway dressed landscaper Silas. Pair that with his adorable canine, and his uncanny ability to disarm and frustratingly charm Maggie…and you have got yourself a great book.
I loved the character cast, the location, the plot and pacing, the chemistry, the dialogue and banter, the humor, the romance, the progression of the characters, and the wonderful ending. Just perfect.
5/5 stars
Thank you NG and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for this wonderful arc and in return I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review and opinion.
I am posting this review to my GR and Bookbub accounts immediately and will post it to my Amazon, Instagram, and B&N accounts upon publication on 6/21/22.

Maggie Moves On was such a sweet (sometimes steamy) book. I really enjoyed it! I was immediately drawn in by the premise of an HGTVesque romance and thought it was done really well! I loved seeing all the behind the scenes moments behind the renovations.
The main characters Silas and Maggie were charming and easy to care about. As much as I liked their romance I think I may have loved the found family element of the story even more. As someone who has struggled with her own family her whole life, it was really lovely to see Maggie fall in love with Silas, Kinship and the whole town. Their warm acceptance of her was wonderful and I’m glad she finally let herself tear down those walls. All of the supporting characters contributed to the story nicely and didn’t just exist to move the plot along. I loved the setting and could really imagine life in the small town. I loved Kevin and the kittens, too!
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Forever for an advanced copy of this book. I can’t wait to check out more by this author.

I really liked this book-- thank you to NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for allowing me an ARC to provide this review! The plot wasn't predictable, and Maggie was a complex character with a past that clung to her like armor. It took Silas, our determined hero, to help her move on from being a self-proclaimed "tumbleweed", running from a settled life. The setting of Kinship, Idaho, was so sweet, with townspeople I would love to read about again, and a reality TV plotline that will make any HGTV fan happy. All of the details, including sweet little animals like a doggo named Kevin, were simply the perfect backdrop for a heart-seizing romance that had me truly rooting for these characters to have their HEA. I also loved that this wasn't necessarily a slow-burn and that I got to see a lot of the main couple together before the novel's very satisfying ending. The only reason this isn't five stars is because I did not love the epistolary bits at the ends of chapters, which is just my taste. Highly recommend checking this one out!

It was cute.
Here’s the thing about dual pov romances: they bore me! I hate knowing what the guy thinks. I want it to be full of yearning and suspense from the heroine’s side.
But anyway, this was still cute and fun
