There are some books that I don't feel, for many different reasons. But this one... it was so hard to get through these pages!

I don't like the style. The writing is so basic and not engaging at all. I felt like it was written just like a teenager who does it like homework. Just to have it done and forget forever. The characters were annoying and they drives me crazy. So immature, so plain, it was hard to get any positive feelings towards them.
The plot is not better, to be honest. I did know what is going to happen from the very beginning.

So, from me... a HUGE no

The Reunion was a novel that I hoped to adore but sadly, came up short. This slow burn romance had little romance in it with the characters being as obnoxiously privledged as they seemed.

Ten years after graduation and two enemies come together again for their reunion. Posy was still living off her daddy's money until he cut her off just when she had plans to get to Hawaii. Lucas is desperate for an investor for his struggling business. When the two met again, they realize they don't hate each other like they didand there may be a loophole in the school rules that will help both of them. They just have to get fake married first.
This book was a fight to finish. I found Posy to be a spoiled and unlikeable alcoholic, blaming her problems on everyone but herself. At least Lucas made something of himself and built a business, even if it's failing. But the fact that he went along with Posy's scheme made me dislike him as well. The whole story just seemed too unbelievable and for a lot of it nothing was really happening at all.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

2 stars. In theory, this book had promise to be entertaining, but it missed the mark for me.
Thank you to Elizabeth Drummond, Harper Collins UK, and NetGalley for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

The Reunion was a sweet rom-com and I did really like this book. I found this book really easy to read and was the perfect book to get me out of a slump as it was just really fun. There were definitely some funny moments and I could not help but find the relationship between Posy and Lucas. Overall it was a really sweet romance book and I had a good time reading it.

This was a fun little read.
Enemies to lovers.
Fake dating.
Marriage of convenience.
If you suspend your disbelief for a lot of the plot points this is a fun romance, not too deep, and a great pallet cleanser.

I loved this one!! The rivalry offered up some hilarious moments, but overall the characters were really loveable and the book itself was easy to read and overall really enjoyable!

I love enemies to lovers and marriage of convenience tropes.

It was a slow burn where we also didn’t really get to see any of them together

Although I enjoyed this book to some degree. I didn't end up liking it so much as I thought I would. For some reason I didn't really vibe with the main characters and that's why I wasn't so interested in the story as much. I liked that it was dual pov as this is always great to see in romance books.

I was so excited for this one, as it has some of my favorite but tropes...but it was just not for me. It was way too slow burn, the plot was uninteresting, and I didn't really love Posy or Lucas.

This was a brilliant read.
Posy and Lucas had each wanted to swerve their high school reunion but both attend under duress and bump into each other but still appear to hate each other like they did all those years ago. However, a perfect storm of complicated situations see them working together to kick start Posy’s career and save Lucas’s, as long as they don’t fall in love!
This book was so much fun to read and the chemistry between the characters was wonderful.

LOVE A GOOD ENEMIES TO LOVERS! as someone who's 10 year reunion is coming up soon I love the plot of this one. I really enjoyed their interactions and when they finally got together I was so excited to see where it would lead to.

The tropes this book included are some of my favorite as a romance reader. The beginning of the book was a little slow for me but it picked up about halfway through and really captured my attention. I didn’t feel much for the heroine Posy until she started showing her more vulnerable side to Lucas and proved that she wasn’t just a disposable, rich, entitled brat. Lucas was a likable character from the start and I really liked the character development he went though by the end of the book. The whole premise of the story was pretty far fetched and laughable but I actually enjoyed the absurdity of it. The fake marriage was just the start of the shenanigans. Include the oversight by the college’s staff and it just felt like nothing was going to work out.

The relationship that forged between the two main characters was sweet. I liked how they became friends and started confiding in each other. Their love was pretty fast, given the timeline of the story but it wasn’t over the top unrealistic.

The Reunion was a delightful debut novel and I thought overall it was a good love story. The book was a little on the wordy side and could have flowed better with some more editing but all in all, I liked it.

Thank you NetGalley and publisher for my e-ARC cope of The Reunion by Elizabeth Drummond. While I gave this book 3 stars it was more a 2.5. The storyline had a lot of potential, but for me, I couldn't connect with the main characters to fully immerse myself in the story.

I'm not sure if I have read too many of this kind of book recently but I just didn't enjoy this one at all! Enemies to lovers can be a great trope but I just didn;t feel the connections at all! Too much of a slow burn for me without the reward at the end!

I struggled with this one, I just could not connect with the main characters! A little disappointing for me as fake dating and enemies to lovers are my favorite tropes!

This book was easy to read but wasn't my favourite rom-com.

Where it was well written and the story was good, i just found it predictable.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
