I wanted to like this book but unfortunately it wasn't for me I did not care for the character development that much. I would probably give this a three out of five stars.

I loved this book. Idk why it took me so long to read it it. But it was so good! I need the physical copy. It literally had me in from sentence one.

Read the tag lines, and trust nobody. A cleverly plotted story, you'll need to concentrate to appreciate the deliciousness of the twist.

I was excited to read this book as it falls into my most read genre of psychological thriller, but I am not sure it was one that I really enjoyed. I think the storyline was interesting and the character development was good, however I found it very confusing when the author would switch between character perspectives without a better explanation of whom we were observing. I still really enjoyed the story until the very ending, where I felt like it was really rushed. Overall, not a heavy hitter for me, but certainly had potential.

This was a very underwhelming read. I didn’t like any of the characters. It was a very confusing read. The writing was ok

This one started off a little too slow for me. But kept pushing through. The end got better, and glad i stuck to it.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this book. Unfortunately since requesting the book, my reading tastes have changed and it would be unfair to review this book as I do not think I could give it the review that would be justified

Other People's Lives is a quiet thriller that you start reading and think you know which way the plot is going and then the plot takes off in a different direction. The story did not have all the bells and whistles but it had me reading at a brisk pace going with the twist and turns. I enjoyed this book.

this one was a miss for me. I found it very slow. the twist was pretty good, but it came along to late in the story and I was already uninterested.

Sophie is seeing psychiatrist Dr. Thacker following the disappearance of her husband. She is worried she is losing her mind as she feels as though someone is watching her.

In this twisty thriller prepare to have your mind thrown as J.E Rowney's clever way of writing leads to the most unexpected twists.

Thank you Books Go Social for a book I wish I had read sooner.
Wow, Wow, Wow and Wow again.
That was a great read and I cannot recommend highly enough. You have to read this book, edge of the seat stuff.

Crazy, crazy book! In a great way, that is! The twists just kept on coming and just when you figure things out - you are thrown for a loop. I loved how I was kept on my toes the whole time. I needed therapy after this one lol

I’d never heard of this book prior to reading it, but it was a “read now” on NetGalley and I instantly wanted to read it when I saw “The Silent Patient meets Gone Girl” which are two of my favorite all-time thrillers.

Unfortunately, I struggled with the book. It wasn’t horrible, it just didn’t reach my expectations. If it didn’t compare itself to those two amazing books then maybe I would’ve liked it more not expecting much out of it.

It started strong and interesting but then got repetitive. It took a while to want to continue the story. I do want to try out this author again because the story as a whole was so clever. I found myself going back a few times to wonder if I read it right.

I love psychological thrillers that play with your mind, this one did that! I can’t say too much about it because it’ll spoil the book. There are some great twists, but that ending was scarily annoying.

Overall, I’m middle of the road with this. It had an interesting premise but I had such high standards after seeing the two books it compared itself to. It was twisty and clever, but at times didn’t work. I’m still a bit confused with my feelings, but that ending surely was disappointing. Middle of the road!

I was very intrigued by the premise of Other People's Lives but I feel like their should be a trigger warning on this novel. I got about 30% through this book before I had to put it down. The way in which Dr. Thatcher spoke about women, particularly about Sophie, freaked me out. It was uncomfortable and just made me feel like I needed to take a shower.

I really thought that this was a perfect book for me, but sadly the psychiatrist was too creepy for me to even get halfway through this book.

Great beginning, middle and end. I definitely did not figure out the ending, and it was quite a surprise.

I loved the storyline, the writing, and the characters--this author did not disappoint with this book. However, I did feel that the ending came on very abruptly, and was a bit disappointed with that.

Won't stop me from reading another one by J.E Rowney.

This was certainly a wild ride! I was sucked in from the beginning and couldn’t put this one down. The way in which this story is told is genius because you truly have no idea what’s going on until the very end. The short chapters and multiple POVs also helped to move this story along and kept things interesting. This is one of the shortest psychological thrillers I’ve read, but this made it so much more enjoyable!
