I really enjoyed this book although I didn't understand the ending until another reader explained it to me. Then it all made sense. I found the book entertaining and provocative. I couldn't wait to finish it. The ending eluded me at first, as previously stated. Unique plot, unexpected twist at the end. I would highly recommend the book, even if you need help 'getting' the ending, as I did.

Other People's Lives by J.E Rowney is not a large book to read, what it is though, is a fast paced and twisty thriller that plays with the readers mind as the story unfolds. This author has written books in the past that I have been literally glued to and I must say this particular book is excellent.

J.E. Rowney has plotted and written this book so well, that if you don't notice certain things within the story you feel a bit confused, with more questions than answers really. She has so sublimely crafted her characters and so tightly woven the plot that it really kept me guessing until the end.

Sophie is having sessions with psychiatrist Dr Thacker to try to help her to cope with the disappearance of her husband and having the feeling she is being constantly watched. The question is...is she being watched and where is her husband?

A thriller with plenty of thrills and twists told in letter format as well as normal chapters. It had me obsessed with how everything panned out. The short chapters just increase the intrigue and mystery of it all. The twists in this story are ones that I didn't see coming and make this R.E Rowney's best work to date.

A brilliant psychological thriller that is definitely 'psychological'! A highly recommended read!

I really enjoyed this book. This was my first book by J.E. Rowney and it will not be my last.

This was so fast paced. I was trying to figure out what was happening, while trying to hold on to my pants. And then when the final twist came in man oh man. It was so good, so perfectly pieced together.

10/10 - Absolutely would recommended.

I received this book in exchange for my honest opinions.

This is a really good psychological thriller. The mystery behind Jack's death keeps one guessing till the end. Characters are well portrayed and excellent storytelling. I do have a niggle though - something to do with the ending. Somehow, I cannot make myself except the way things ended for Sophie. It was unexpected, yes, but twisted in a way that left me with more questions than answers.

If you love psychological thrillers with a twisted ending, I recommend you to give this book a try.

This is a fun and a twisty read. I don’t want to say too much about the story because I really want all of you to discover the story yourself. It’s like a roller coaster ride – so much more fun when you don’t know the track that lies ahead.

This a fast page turner that kept me wondering what exactly is Sophie hiding? Is someone watching her, or is it all in her head?

Other People’s Lives is fast and enjoyable read. Toss this into your bag for a fun summer read at the beach or the pool.

This is a short, fast paced thriller and I did enjoy it.

The book and the story were moving super quick and I was flying through the pages but I was disappointed with the outcome. I was left with more questions than answers and I even went back and reread the opening chapter but was still a little confused.

If you like fast paced thrillers then this one is for you and maybe you won't be as dense as me and understand the plot/ending!

This was quite a wild ride! I thought one thing was happening until I hit the 75% mark only to find out something entirely different was going on. It’s twisty, fast paced and a quick, fun read. If you’re able to suspend belief to get into your thrillers then you will definitely enjoy this one!

This book had me entertained but wondering what the point of the story was the first 60%, confused af the next 2o% and then mind blown the last 20%! What a twisted, insane ending. Didn't see it coming at all!

Other People's lives pulled me into the story from the beginning and I thoroughly enjoyed the story. I kept trying to guess what was happening, but was wrong every time! A very entertaining book.

Sophie has lost her husband while on a work trip to the Artic. Now months later she thinks someone is watching her, stalking her, or is it all in her head? She starts seeing a psychiatrist but as she starts to open up, we see things are not all as they seem.

I would suggest paying close attention to this story as it unfolds as the twists and turns keep coming. I enjoyed this book and it held my interest throughout. I rate this eBook 4 stars.

After her husband goes missing and is presumed dead Sophie begins to feel she is being followed by someone.. She has no proof of this and the police don't seem to take her serious so she decides to see a therapist. Everyone has their own secrets including the therapist and soon all will be revealed.
A fast paced read with page turning surprises. I couldn't wait to put it all together and find out what is going on. I was a bit disappointed in the ending but that's my opinion, still an enjoyable read.

Psychological thriller. For me, it was slow moving till 3/4 of the way thru then the twists started coming. Did I see them coming? No, but not sure if it was because I was getting bored or the author was that good! There were very subtle hints. Unreliable narrator, unlikeable characters for me. Not as thrilling as I hoped, but it did keep my attention enough to finish it. Even though the ending explained a lot, it still had a hole for me that I’m not sure if I missed, or it wasn’t explained properly.
This was the first book I’ve read by this author and would definitely read again. The story was compelling enough to draw me in and the promise of twists kept me going!

Thanks to Ms. Rowney, BooksGoSocial and NetGalley for this ARC. Opinion is mine alone.

I struggled to put this book down!
What a fast paced, twisty little thriller!

The different POVs were great and kept me on my toes. It definitely left me feeling like I had missed things at the beginning and I found myself reading it a second time to see if I had!

Overall I enjoyed the plot of Sophie with her missing husband, the obsessive therapist and a few extras thrown in there.
I did feel the ending could have been developed further but honestly, it's a great little read.

If I could figure out how to do a huge surprised emoji on this review then that’s what I’d start with! This book is AMAZING! Full of tension, just lurking in the background. Making you feel uneasy yet you have no idea why. Expertly written characters that let you in but only a little bit at a time. The narrative is done in a way that you feel the characters are, at times talking directly to you. I found myself agreeing out loud then thought, “oh you can’t hear me can you”?

Sophie feels like she is slowly losing her mind and hopes that her Therapist. Andrew can help her get her life into perspective after her husband disappears, seemingly into thin air. Sophie is a great protagonist and she had me in the palm of her hand. Her letters to her husband are an inspired tool that the author uses to give us little snippets of information, what happened to Sophie’s husband? why she feels so awful? why she feels like she’s unraveling? You certainly feel that you are sitting in on the therapy sessions and at times you feel uncomfortable. One minute I thought Andrew was really caring, then I thought “oh no creepy”

If you ever needed a definition for Psychological then this book is it! A powerful book that really has you wondering what the heck is going on! Intrigue flows throughout and the twist at the end is truly not what I thought. I sat back in my chair thinking WOW what just happened? Epic, awesome, thrilling, gripping, brilliant, absolutely trust NO ONE. I don’t say “a must read” often but this really is a must read. Brilliant.

Utter waste of time. I did finish it, but barely. Its only saving grace is that it was short, so my distress was minimal. The character development was non-existent, the plot was thin, and the ending was anti-climatic (if that's possible with an already boring book). I don't see much point in belaboring a negative review; suffice it say that this is definitely not a book I recommend.

I loved the uncertainty that pervaded not only the plot but almost all the characters, leaving me wondering who to believe. This enhanced the underlying mystery which, given the book is quite short, risked being a bit simplistic without the added sophistication around perspective.

This was a fast, easy read and was very enjoyable. I liked the letters from Sophie to Jack to convey some information to the reader, and thought it was a good way to break up the story. I knew what was going on for the first 75% of the book, or at least I thought I did. Once the twists started coming, I was questioning everything I had read to that point. This is a great book for any mystery lovers out there!
