The Hookup Plan is the final book in the Boyfriend Project series by Farrah Rochon. This was my favorite one because London is my favorite. She's a pediatric surgeon resident (I love MC with medical professions). I could feel the chemistry between Drew and London in this enemies-to-lovers trope. Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of this book soon. The audiobook was especially enjoyable with the narration.

Thank you, Forever and Hachette Audio, for my complimentary copies.

I am officially obsessed with Farrah Rochon! This was my first of her whip smart reads and absolutely will NOT be my last. While this is not the first book in the series, I seamlessly jumped into London and Daniel's story and friendships as if nothing was missed in books one and two.

Rochon creates smart, bada$$ women, who aren't afraid to live by their own rules. Perfectly capturing the "do it all" attitudes and busy lifestyles "The Hookup Plan" is so relatable. The narrator did such a great job setting the TX tone and capturing all the local vibes, food trucks, and musical scene. Such a great read, leaving me yearning for more!

The final book in Farrah Rochan’s The Boyfriend Project series rounds out the trio of love stories about three women who found out that they were all dating the same man through a series of viral tweets. In this book, London reconnects with Dean, her high school nemesis and co-valedictorian. Although fifteen years have passed since then, London still holds some resentment towards Dean. However, these two have more in common than London ever realized, and sparks fly at the afterparty… and again when Dean ends up staying in Austin for a few weeks for work. London sets clear boundaries to their not-exactly-friends-with-benefits situation, but she can’t help wanting to spend more and more time with charismatic, hard-working, and level-headed Dean. Can these two make their relationship work, or will they keep it at a high-school fling, fifteen years too late. I think this book might actually be my favorite in the series! I really enjoyed the premise of this one and Rochan’s writing is as always concise, heartwarming, and willing to tackle the difficult topics in today’s world. If you’ve checked out the other books in this series, you won’t regret finishing it up with The Hookup Plan! Thanks so much to Forever for sending me an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

I really wanted to love this one, but I could not connect with the FMC. I found her to be rather insensitive towards the MMCs feelings all because she felt threatened by his intelligence and honestly found myself thinking more about how much I didn't love her than about the book itself.

That said, this is definitely a very personal thing so I would still encourage you to check out The Hookup Plan.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

Another great standalone in the Boyfriend Project series! This group of friends continues to be amazing and I am so excited we finally got London’s book, which did not disappoint!

💜 childhood enemies/rivals to lovers with some serious chemistry 🔥
💜 workplace romance
💜 a strong AF heroine (who is a surgeon!!) and a hero who may be book boyfriend material
💜 strong female friendships

There’s so much to enjoy about this book. Alongside this friend group, which is still 💯, I loved the journey London and Drew’s story took that went from just a hook-up to more💘This book also explored London’s family and her motivations behind being the hard working and driven women that she is (TW - her dad is TERRIBLE). London and Drew had some seriously awesome banter and I just loved that Drew was a secret cinnamon roll - he would do ANYTHING for London.

The Hookup Plan has me keeping an eye on Farrah Rochon for the next project. I didn't read the previous books in the series but if they are as good as this one, I'm definitely going back to read them! Drew and London were amazing! I love the enemy to lovers so much and it was so well done here. The only nitpick I have with this book is the narrator. The narrator sometimes gave a flatness to London that could be a bit disinteresting, but overall I enjoyed the narration. After a while, I don't think I was bothered by it and it really got better. The plot, some of the banter (I'm saving a few of those one liners for myself), and the steaminess of this book will have me recommending to a few of my friends. All in all, The Hookup Plan was a wonderful ride and I look forward to more from Farrah Rochon. 4/5 for me. Thank you to NetGalley and Hachette Audio for the opportunity to review this lovely arc!

I love this series so obvious I had to read the past one in the series. I didn’t expect that this would be my favorite of the whole series! I love the strong female bonds and I like how it shines light on how females don’t always get the correct recognition in high up job positions. Just all around a great story!

✨Book Review✨

The Hookup Plan
Farrah Rochon
Pub Date: August 2, 2022

“Yeah, I already know what you want from me, London. But I think we need to redefine this imaginary line that you’re not willing to cross.”

👠 Synopsis:
Successful pediatric surgeon London Kelley just needs to find some balance and de-stress. According to her friends Samiah and Taylor, what London really needs is a casual hookup. A night of fun with no strings. But no one—least of all London—expected it to go down at her high school reunion with Drew Sullivan, millionaire, owner of delicious abs, and oh yes, her archnemesis.

Now London is certain the road to hell is paved with good sex. Because she’s found out the real reason Drew’s back in Austin: to decide whether her beloved hospital remains open. Worse, Drew is doing everything he can to show her that he’s a decent guy who actually cares. But London’s not falling for it. Because while sleeping with the enemy is one thing, falling for him is definitely not part of the plan.

💭 Thoughts:

The narration was not great. The book is fantastic, but the narrator narrated with such a monotone voice. I feel like London was so flat and her character just didn’t come to life the way I thought she should have.

It took me a little bit of time to get into this book. I hadn’t read the previous two books in the series, though this can be read as stand-alone. It wasn’t until about 60% in that things started happening and I started really loving Drew and London. So don’t DNF early!

This was a fun, enjoyable read. I really like the heroine, London. She is a strong willed, well educated, independent woman. The banter between her and Drew was great. Drew had me rooting for him from the moment he was introduced. Definitely recommend for anyone who loves a sweet cinnamon roll hero!

I also loved the hospital setting. I’ve been an ER nurse for the last 15 years and found a lot of the hospital references to be very relatable.

Read if you enjoy:
❤️ Enemies to Lovers
❤️ Cinnamon Roll MC
❤️ References to Doctor Life
❤️ Strong Female Friendships

So I didn’t read the first 2 books, but I definitely will after reading this one! I loved London. She’s a badass and fights for what she believes in. I loved Drew. Swoon worthy and charming (and the $100M doesn’t hurt either 😉).. I loved their relationship. I loved the relationship with London and her siblings evolve. I wish there was a bit more at the end about the jerk at the hospital having karma kick his butt or something. Or with her mom & stepmom maybe having a convo about her dad and accepting that London kicked him out of her life but otherwise this book was perfection!

I really adored this book! There was much more steam than in The Boyfriend Project (and I haven't read The Dating Playbook yet). I really loved the heart of this book. Enemies to lovers is always a win in my book!

An enemies to lovers romance with a fun completing storyline. There was a great chrmistry and romance between the two main characters as they also navigated through some tough personal issues. I found bthe steamy parts to be rather lacking.

Drew & London, high school rivals meet up again at the high school reunion. London discovers she has to work with Drew for the next few weeks, they make a hookup plan. Spending so much time together at work and outside of work leads to love blooming. I really like this book, now I have to listen to the other two books in this series. I like this authors writing, I might need to check out her other books. As always, I like the getting to know you part of the book.

The Hookup Plan was a great conclusion to this series as we finally get to have London’s story.

While I absolutely adored this book, I didn’t feel like it was as strong as the first two books.

What I loved:

Getting to know and understand London.
London is a pediatrician surgeon resident whose reputation already has colleagues both loving and hating her, which is made worse considering she’s a Black female. She’s incredibly confident in both her knowledge and abilities and refuses to let anyone tell her otherwise (rightfully so).

The history and chemistry between London and Drew. While I empathized with London more (since her experiences mirrored so much of my own), I couldn’t help but love the competitive behavior and banter between them.

I loved that we still got interactions between London, Samiyah, and Taylor, but they were less frequent in this story versus the previous three. I wanted a bit more girl time, but I understand that the trio wasn’t the forefront of this story.

What I didn’t love:

My one gripe from this book was how the audiobook narrator narrated the steamy scenes. The scenes themselves were fantastically written but the narrator delivered a monotone delivery. It made for a jilted experience.

I adored this story!⁣

This was a laugh out loud funny, enemies to lovers, with some hilarious enemies banter, that I always adore. I love when they get each other riled up. ⁣

This starts off with London, our last of the girl besties, pediatric surgeon, at her 15 year high school reunion. Drew her co-valedictorian nemesis is present, a millionaire, and seggsier than she remembered but still there to get under her skin. ⁣

London has been under a lot of stress at work and thinks getting some of the goods will help with de-stressing; Drew sexy and an out of towner seems like the perfect hook up buddy.⁣

I loved how straight forward these two were with each other. Asking for what they wanted and going for it. Realizing they may have been enemies for no reason and growing a friendship that quite possibly could turn into more. ⁣

I really enjoyed the audio! I always wish a man narrated his own section, but I still really enjoyed this and thought it was well done!

The Boyfriend Project is one of my favourite spicy romance series and The Hookup Plan is the best one yet! It tells London's story of becoming a pediatric surgeon and being reunited with her high school adversary and co-valedictorian at a reunion. Farrah Rochon does a great job of creating interesting, smart characters who are a lot of fun but also dealing with serious issues like burnout, workaholics, taking time for self-care and fraught relationships with bad parents, which makes for a very relatable, and heartwarming story. I am sorry to see this series come to an end but can't wait to see what she will write next. Marissa Hampton was the perfect voice of both the main characters on the audiobook. It really felt like London and Drew were telling me their story themselves.

I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook! It was sweet, romantic, and funny and I really found myself hooked.

High school enemies to adult lovers! I had a great time with The Hookup Plan. London is a successful pediatric surgeon (though a stressed, hypertensive, workaholic one). At her 10 year high school reunion, she runs into Drew- her high school rival and co-valedictorian. He's back in town for work and they end up hooking up. Except, it turns out he's there to audit the hospital she works at...

What was great about this was how the romance between these two interweaves other personal issues and places they need to grow. London competed with Drew because she was trying for her narcissistic father's approval and must come to terms with that. Drew is still grieving the loss of his mother to cancer and his own feelings of responsibility. London is also carrying so much stress, it is beginning to impact her health. But she cares deeply about the well-being of her patients. Meanwhile, Drew has secretly always had a thing for London and this explores how different things are as adults than as teens.

The main downside was the steamy parts were kind of meh. Not much buildup or anything other than straight to P in V action which somehow magically leads to multiple orgasms. It kind of made me roll my eyes and I wish there had just been fewer scenes altogether if it was where it was going to go. Otherwise, I really liked the characters their growth arcs, and the romance! The audio narration is great as well. I received an advance audio copy of this book via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

I have loved The Boyfriend Project series so I was excited to round out the trio with London's story. London is a pediatric surgeon under a lot of stress at her hospital when she runs into her high school rival at their 15 year reunion. What starts as one night of burning off some steam turns into something more...

I really enjoyed London and Drew as characters and appreciated that they had a past, even if they were enemies, as it felt like their connection wasn't so instantaneous. They each face their own emotional and familial struggles but I loved that they openly communicated (for the most part) throughout. I do wish we got a bit more tension between the pair as their romantic journey felt fairly easy.

Overall it was an enjoyable wrap to the series. I loved seeing London, Samiah and Taylor's friendship woven throughout and watching them each get their happy ending. Farrah Rochon has solidified herself as an auto-read author for me and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

Thanks Hachette Audio and Forever for my copy in exchange for an honest review.

It was a sfunny-serious listening. It starts with an invitation to a room and ... you wake up the nexr morning?? Yes then we get to know the two enemies to lovers, I would love to have that first for us too. But ok, I liked the way it was all done anyway after. The friendship, helping not just the the Hospital, many family matters like cancer, drinking and so so... all wrap up really nice at the end.

Thank you Hachette audio and netgalley for this audio.

What a beautiful end to this fun series. I love a good enemies/rivals to lovers romance and this hit all the major points. My only gripe is working in the medical education world there were some highly unlikely/unrealistic residency/fellowship aspects but that's to be expected
