I cannot stop thinking about this book or its setting. The summers on this beach truly sound like the most idyllic place to grow up. Wyatt was so dreamy and I loved Sam and was rooting for her to figure out where she was going. This is a perfect summer read with first love and second chances. I really loved it. Sam was so easy to like, such a raw and original character, she feels so real and ratable, even though she's a bit awkward and unsure of herself sometimes. this is a second chance romance where Sam and Wyatt come back together after nearly a decade apart. This story portrays what it feels like to be so utterly lost and confused about what you want your life to look like vs what it should look like. First love can be intoxicating and all consuming and I think Sam's relationship with Wyatt really paints that picture.

Cute, predictable story! Fun beach read. Started me on a little beach read spree! I gave this 4 stars because it was just such a good love story! I loved the childhood/first love and coming back together later on. The treehouse and music aspect were cute! Loved the spice!

I loved this sweet second chance romance and getting to see Sam's experiences in a place she was so familiar with.

I found this book to be...fine. It's a second chance romance starring Sam and Wyatt. They are 30 now, but were first loves at 17. And now Sam is engaged and has gone back home to choose a wedding venue. What could go wrong?

This is definitely a summer read. It's not heavy and it won't strain your brain. Sam's family adds the lovable quirkiness that is so often found in one of the main characters. All in all, it's a fun romance with very little spice.

Really fun beach read style book. Fast enough plot to grab my attention from the beginning, not overly fluffy but also not too deep to make it something I struggle through. Perfect book to read on a long weekend or while lounging around a campfire.

Cute storyline, but not Uber impressed with the 30-something who is obsessing over her first love when she heard his notes come from the treehouse. I remember my first love, but the way she pines over this man and all he represents. And don’t get me started on the MMC, Jack. He is a … no. Not a fan. Overall, it was a decently written story with some good, strong parts. I just wish the relationship was more developed/discussed between Sam and Wyatt, not just Sam and Jack. I’d recommend it! This was a cute and light audiobook that gave me all the summer vibes!

This is a fun story about discovering yourself and also plays off the childhood friends to lovers & second chance romance tropes. Sam and Wyatt were best friends growing up and dated for a short period of time, until Wyatt broke Sam’s heart. Now they’re 30 years old and reunite at their beach homes, and Sam is engaged to Jack. But once Sam sees Wyatt, she knows something is off but pushes it to the side.

I liked both characters, though Sam did annoy me at some points in regard to her relationship with Jack. I rolled my eyes and smacked my forehead a few times in response to something she did or was doing. The dual narrators were great and really added to the overall story, making it feel more personal. This also gave me ‘Every Summer After’ vibes and I kept thinking that throughout the book.

Overall, this is a cute beachy read that is a perfect palate cleanser, or good for getting out of a slump!

I enjoyed this sweet summer story. However, I will say that I didn’t enjoy it as much as I enjoy Monaghan’s previous title, Nora goes off script. Still, it was a solid 3.5 stars. I also have to say that I almost wish it was just told from Sam’s perspective as I found Wyatt’s dialog a little boring. However, I did like how the author gave him dyslexia for disability representation
Overall, it was a cute summer read.

This was my first book by Annabel Monaghan. I alternated between the ebook & the audiobook. I really enjoyed the narration. I love a good second chance romance, and this one was adorable. Same Time Next Summer is the go-to beach read that everyone needs.

I knew I would like this book, but I wasn’t prepared for how much I would love it. The author completely transported me to the ocean-view of Long Island, New York, and I was captivated by the what-should-have-been-all-along romance. This would be the perfect, addicting beach read for any vacationer who loves nostalgia, music, and creativity! I cannot wait to see what the author writes next!

I absolutely loved this! I love Annabel Monaghan and I will read absolutely anything she writes. It was such a great summer read, I felt like I was on the beach while reading this.

As always, the characters were amazing. They felt so real and the character development was done very well. I wanted to reach out and hug the main characters on multiple occasions. I love how Monaghan always creates very well rounded characters who feel real.

All and all, this is a super cute and sweet second chance romance that will leave you feeling all the emotions. I found myself laughing, crying, and crying from laughing. It's a quick read too, I finished it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down!

Same time next summer is a great book that takes the reader on an emotional journey of self discovery as the heroine struggles to make past and present meet for the ultimate resolution/conclusion that can really only go one way.

I loved how I felt while reading this. It felt like I was actually there, soaking up in the sunlight, the only music being the waves.

Give me summer! All the warmth and smells of summer wrapped into a book. I enjoy this. I liked Nora a little better but this was still solid 4 star read!

I love Annabel Monaghan, and she did not disappoint with this novel. It is a sweet story that is very relatable. Her ability to tell a story and draw you in never disappoints me. Annabel is one author that I will always pre-order books for! I laughed out loud more than once, and I also wanted to give the characters a hug at several different points.

Overall, it was fantastic, and I highly recommend it!

Sam returns to her family’s summer beach home with her fiancé, Jack, to finalize wedding plans. The relaxed Sam of her youth is long gone and in her place is more uptight version. While there, she runs into her first love, Wyatt, who’s parents owned the house next door and who she hasn’t seen in 14 years since their very traumatic breakup.

<b>Same Time Next Summer</b> gave me the beach vibes I was looking for. This book made me very nostalgic. Having grown up in a small beach town, this book made me reminiscent of long summer days I spent at the beach with friends. It’s easy to get caught up in Annabel Monaghan’s writing. It wasn’t necessarily a new or fresh story idea, but it was well-written and I just loved Sam and Wyatt. This wasn’t just a light and fluffy story about first love and the possibility of second chances. It also delves into mental health issues and the author approached this subject in a realistic way as well as family dynamics as well.

If you are looking for a great beach read, this is it. I personally enjoyed this one even more than <b>Nora Goes Off Script</b> and look forward to reading whatever Annabel Monaghan writes next. 4.5 stars
