I wanted to love this read, I truly did. There were parts of this book that I liked but other parts fell short for me.

This was just... cute? The MC was forced to experience the same Christmas Day over and over again until she learned whatever lesson needed to be taught to her. I feel like I've read a couple of these books with the same plot doesn't help so I think if I hadn't done that I would have enjoyed this book a little better. But I do like how the story was wrapped up at the end.

This book totally gave me the holiday or love actually vibes (maybe because it was set in Britain?). Anyhow, it was super cute and definitely destined to be a classic rom-com book to read at Christmas! Totally adorable! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me in exchange for my honest review!

Super cute romantic holiday book with the right amount of spice. I would recommend this book if you need a good winter book to read.

I initially tried to read this book and did not finish it but I went back and tried to re-read it because I wanted to give it a second chance. I really love holiday themed books so I thought this would be perfect, it seems to be really great for others but it personally was just not for me. The cover is really cute and would definitely grab my attention at the bookstore but it was just really hard to get into and didn't give me the same feeling that other holiday books usually do.

Okay yeppppp this book was everything I wanted from it! One of my favorite movies is 12 Dates of Christmas and this reminds me a ton of this— not only is our protagonist Gwen managing making the most of her romantic opportunities in her Groundhog Day loop, but she’s working on her relationship with her family. I think that’s such a rewarding mix. This is giving Hallmark moving in the best way possible. I was left with a giant smile on my face and I can’t wait to read it again this season!

Lovers of Hallmark movies, holiday romance, and the movie Groundhog Day, rejoice!
This cute holiday romance centers around Gwen who is newly single and hoping for a peaceful holiday at home for some respite from her life and job. Little does she know that there is a boy-next-door romance in store for her and more Christmas magic than she ever thought possible.

The perfect cozy Christmas read! ‘The Christmas Wish’ takes the ‘Groundhog Day’ concept and decks it beautifully with holiday family drama, small town escape from big city life, mutual pining, and childhood friends to lovers. The romance and the family bonding are both achingly heartwarming with just the right amount of holiday cheese and the result is fun and solidly rom-com while still staying on the grounded side of holiday special camp.

‘The Christmas Wish’ is the perfect read for getting into the holiday spirit, easing back to reality in that week between Christmas and New Years, or even just a holiday lover looking for a little Christmas in July spirit.

This is a good book. The main character is Gwen. She is reliving Christmas Day just like the movie Groundhog Day. She tries everything under the sun to try to break the cycle. She evens goes to see her ex boyfriend who share finds out is jealous of her, he wants it to be all about him. She finds out what is important and how she wants to live and finally breaks the cycle of reliving the Christmas Day.

I love the groundhogs day trope. Seeing how the main character tries to solve it and work out why it’s happening is alway a fave of mine, because I too get to try and rack my brain for the answers.

I genuinely laughed reading this a while back and fell in love with *all* of the characters.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC. This novel was similar to “In a holidaze” by Christine Lauren. The main character relives the same day during Christmas with her family. And of course, there’s the boy next door.

Thanks to all for an ARC for an honest review.
This is such a funny groundhog day scenario where Christmas day is repeated, and repeated, etc. I was nervous this might get repetitive but we just touch on the difference each day for the most part.
Our main character Gwen gives Bridget Jones vibes with her hilarious shinanigins but I truly love her cousin Manny and their relationship.
Such a fun read!

This is sort of reminds me of Christina Lauren’s In a Holidaze, in that our leading lady experiences Christmas Day over and over like Groundhogs Day movie. Which is ironic, as I am reading it on Groundhogs Day. I actually enjoyed this way more than I thought I would when I first started. So if you pick this up, stick with it. Gwen grows so much as a character throughout the whole book and I just absolutely love the way it ends.

Bottom Line: Read it!

**I received a copy of The Christmas Wish from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are of my own.**

Lindsey Kelk was one of the first romcom authors I ever read, as a teenager. I picked up her I Heart New York series and really enjoyed it, but I haven't read anything else by her since, up until now. I was curious to see if I'd still enjoy her work, especially since I love Christmas books so much.

The Groundhog Day concept is one of my favourites in romcoms, so I was hoping to really enjoy this. And I did think this was mostly an enjoyable read, but it fell kind of flat to me. I had a hard time liking any of the characters, even the main character, because I ultimately didn't feel like I got to know her that well. I felt the same way about the love interest, who honestly doesn't get enough page-time to become interesting. This didn't get me invested in the romance at all, which is such a shame to me. I also did want a little more from the timeloop stuff. There were fun elements, but I do feel like it could have been utilized more and it could have felt fresher.

This is a sweet rom com. I reminded me a lot of Holidaze, but it had its own twist tat made it a bright and fun seasonal read.
