This book was cute enough, I enjoyed Gwen as a character and reading from her perspective. This was my first time reading a "groundhog day" type book and I discovered it just wasn't for me. despite the trope I did really enjoy all of the characters and the growth and development that gwen went through.

This was a fun Christmas read a la Deja Vu and Groundhog Day. (As an American) I love Christmas stories that take place in the UK. It gives me the feeling of watching Love Actually and being placed in the story of England at Christmastime. We follow Gwen, who recently has been suspended from her very sought after job at a high profile London law firm after throwing a stapler at one of her egregious male co-worker. Gwen has been struggling. She's recently broken up with her boyfriend, Michael of 4 years after he cheats on her with his receptionist, and she's sort of dreading the Christmas holidays this season. Not only do her family not know the reason for her suspension from work, they also don't know that Gwen may be questioning her career. When a wish for the annual sixpence Christmas pudding is up for grabs and a fireworks display goes awry, Gwen wishes she could find a way to not only find happiness for herself, but to find happiness for her family. When Gwen wakes up the next morning, she finds that it's Christmas all over again, and again and again. Gwen sets out to set things right with each of her family members to make it to the day after Christmas and maybe find love along the way.

This book is a fun Christmas twist on Groundhog’s Day. When Gwen travels home (with her hilarious cousin Manny) she finds herself reliving Christmas Day over and over again. With a dysfunctional family, hilarious mishaps, and a hunky boy next door who used to be her teenage crush this book has it all for the holiday season. Gwen tries to break the constant loop of Christmas by trying to make her family’s random wishes come true and I enjoyed every minute!

I really enjoyed this Christmas version of Groundhog's Day. There are times where this trope is difficult to loop through multiple times but in this case, it was well done and Gwen learned new things about herself and her family in each to grow without getting petulant and whiny as it often goes along. Each of the characters was well-developed and I felt like they had an opportunity to end up in a better place. Through all of this, there was plenty of laughing at some of the scenarios as they played out. Overall, I enjoyed and would recommend to others for a fun Christmas read.

A really fun, Christmas RomCom. It gives all the things you look for in feel good holiday entertainment:
-fun banter between characters (a plus if you enjoy British humor)
-dysfunctional family Christmas
-the FMC has to do a lot of soul searching to understand the important lessons in life
-cute holiday romance sprinkled in (without spice)
It’s exactly what I was looking for in a light-hearted Christmas read.
This was my first introduction to Lindsey Kelk’s writing and I’m looking forward to reading more!

Thank you to NetGalley and Harper 360 for this eARC.

Initially when I went into this book, I thought it was a romance novel, but it's actually just fiction with romantic elements. Gwen Baker, our protagonist, is a 30 something attorney that loves Christmas, but this year feels different. Gwen is unhappy with her life, her recent breakup, and her troubles with work. Gwen's family dynamics are a hoot and I'm reminded of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. The plot is borrowed from Groundhog Day, but what makes this book, is how Gwen relates to each member of her family. I loved reading each day where Gwen attempts to grant a wish in order to make Christmas end and sometimes the hilarious results that ensue. I've never been to Great Britain, so the British English sometimes threw me, but the context was easy to figure out.

The book does end on a light note and is the perfect holiday read.

Thank you to Netgalley and HarperCollins for the arc for review purposes.

I LOVED this book! There was so much humor and witty one liners that it was easy to fall in love with this author’s writing!

The characters, both main and supporting, were likable, interesting and I loved the character growth and chemistry between them all. Though this book had me laughing out loud at almost every page, there was also a lot of depth and heart to it too. Due to the Groundhog Day theme, The main character goes on a wonderful journey of self-realization, ending with a lovely message about living a life that truly brings you joy as well as being thankful for each new tomorrow!

I also liked that while there was a love story as a storyline, it wasn’t the focal point of the book which made it more multi-layered than most holiday reads I pick up. My only complaint was how long the chapters were, but this was such an entertaining and easy read, that I still found myself flying through chapters. Overall, I can’t recommend this book enough this holiday season. I will absolutely be picking up previously written books along with future books by this author!

Thank you to Netgalley and Harper Collins for this e-ARC!

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from NetGalley. It perfectly scratched my itch for a cozy Christmas read that wasn't too corny. Kelk did a great job of peppering in current references without overdoing it or seem like she was name dropping. I really enjoyed her humor. There is not much romance in this book - I would say closed door but there's really not much to even close a door for. However, there is a lot of great plot around family and finding oneself. This was a really enjoyable read and I highly recommend for this holiday season.

Such a cute and hilarious Christmas rom-com. Swap out Bill Murray and Groundhog Day and put in Gwen, a newly dumped, ex lawyer on Christmas Day. I really enjoyed this one, adorable.

Groundhog Day meets Christmas in this cute tale, which is more family drama than romance. The story is very British and at times the quirk incorporated borders on too much, but Gwen's soul searching journey of self-discovery following personal and professional tragedies coupled with her quest to help family members helps ground everything nicely. A delightful read for the holiday season!

I don't know why, but this book isn't doing anything for me. It's a DNF after the first 3 chapters for me. I've set it down and just have no interest in coming back to it. There are too many books on my TBR and not enough years in my life to spend trying to coax myself into the world of a book that isn't pulling me in.
It sounded so adorable too.

I'm not typically a fan of "Groundhog Day" type storylines where the character lives the same day over and over again. However, Lindsey Kelk does a nice job with this plot. She gives it a breath of fresh air and some original twists and it doesn't feel too repetitive or overdone.

Gwen has come home for the holidays. Her family is unaware that her personal life is in complete shambles. They know she's broken up with her boyfriend, but they are unaware of the precarious position her career is in. She continues putting off telling them for fear of disappointing her father. When she starts reliving the same day over and over, Gwen assumes there is something she isn't doing that is causing the day to continue repeating. Determined to make a change so she can escape the time loop, Gwen makes a different change each day, but continues waking up to the same day anyway. Of course, to complicate the process, Gwen's old friend and former crush, Dev is home visiting his family as well. But, Gwen believes he's engaged and therefore off limits. All of this adds to her frustration and inability to focus on the task at hand.

This was another enjoyable read by Lindsey Kelk. I truly enjoy her writing and look forward to her books. Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. I voluntarily chose to read and review it and the opinions contained within are my own.

This was quite the holiday read! Extra christmas-y. Lindsey Kelk's books are light hearted, fun reads and if she writes it, I'll read it! Gwen, stuck in a Christmas time loop spends the majority of the novel reliving Christmas day. I'm not normally a time travel novel lover (actually I quite hate this trope), but each reliving of the day gives Gwen time to focus on each individual member of her family, so it doesn't really feel like we're reading through the same day each time. Instead we get even more Christmas cheer through each day.

The romance of this book, unfortunately, felt very short lived. The reader gets very quick glimpses of the very long term mutual pining between Gwen and her neighbor Dev. But because the book focuses more on Gwen and her family, we don't really get the chance to root for the romance with the boy next door. I would have loved more glimpses of her time with Dev in each version of Christmas day, or maybe even some flashbacks of their childhood friendship. The parts we did see only made me want even more of their story!!

Grab some Christmas punch and curl up with this holiday read and enjoy some laugh out loud festive moments!

Thank you Netgalley and Harper 360 for the ARC in exchange for my review!

This is my first book from Lindsey Kelk but it won't be the last! The perfect Christmas read that was full of holiday cheer - over and over again! This is a classic Groundhog's Day trope, but was executed well. Definitely give this one a read this holiday season!

I went to bed at 5AM because I could not put this book down, It was so good. After I finished it I felt so warm inside. I love movies and books about reliving the same day and seeing what the person learns each day, not only that but also how she improves. The main character truly didn’t know how to come out of this shell, she’s basically doing everything that everyone expects her to, shes living a life that she has finally realized isn’t for her and she feels stuck not wanting her desire of a fresh start to ruin the way others see her. Especially her family. Which is something that i can relate to.I cannot recommend this book enough. It was so fast paced and the repeated day storyline didn’t get boring or overdone. It was really well written and there was a lot of great quotes that I highlighted because it was exactly how I was feeling. I loved it.

This book was very cute, funny and absolutely perfect for the holidays. It was a fast read, with funny characters that have depth. No spice though, just a lot of build up!

The story follows Gwen as she is reliving Christmas day over and over again trying to grant her family members wishes. She ends up learning a lot about her family and of course about herself. Plus there is a hunky next door neighbor.

I really enjoyed this book and definitely recommend.

I received an ARC from NetGalley.

The best part about the Christmas Wish was the ending- it was so so so so cute. Loved the Groundhog Day trope- but it got a little repetitive after awhile. Still an adorable read!!!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for giving me an ARC copy of this book to read and review. All of these thoughts and comments are my own.

This was just a cute and fun read. There were multiple times I laughed out loud. I really love Manny and Gwen’s friendship. I know they are cousins but I just really love the bond they have. The romance in this book was really good too. I like how it wasn’t rushed or like over the top. It worked out really well in the end and felt more realistic to me.

I also really loved the idea of the sixpence wish and having to repeat Christmas over and over until you learn the value lesson that is to be learned. I think this book really teaches you that you don’t know everyone’s struggle so maybe you just need to sit back and offer helping hand when you can.

I gave this book 5 stars because I personally just really freaking loved it.

‘People don’t always see what’s right in front of them,’ he replied lightly. ‘Especially when it’s been around forever.’

Based on. What if Christmas Day became the Groundhogs Day movie but revolved around the six pence in the Christmas pudding. Traveling the British countryside Gwen Baker has no clue that her Christmas is about to become a seemingly unending time loop complete with pictures of unmentionables, trespassing, training the neighbor with pud, a death trap of a camp bed, your childhood crush, and so much more!

This book was so delightful. I wanted to have a cup of tea with Gwen and eat Butty Biscuits. And Manny can do.my hair any time!

The characters, all of them, grew. And it was do nice to read and watch. Gwen found closure, found common ground with her sister, made herself vulnerable, and found herself in a lifesize Barbie bathroom.

I highly recommend this joyous book.

I so thankful for this opportunity from NetGalley and Harper Collins Publishing for this ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.
