Good first book to series. The story is fun and easy to read. Looking forward go the others coming.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a free copy in exchange of an honest review. This is such a cute light read. Also bonus that it’s short so if you’re busy maybe you can grab and read this! This book is about Kit and Tully and it’s set in Ireland and revolves around 90’s music. It’s from Tully’s POV, our MMC who’s new to town and is attracted to Kit.
Strong start to a series that sounds like its going to be super fun! I'm excited to see more of the story from Kit;s perspective in the next book, and also how the rest of the stories will unfold!
This book was extremely cute and I was able to follow the storyline well. While the book was on the shorter side I did have to take a couple breaks from it to finish it though. It took me until around 60% in to really be hooked and not able to put it down. I am interested to see how the rest of the books end up being.
I was really looking forward to reading this book but unfortunately i never got to download it before it came archived! i really liked the premise of it and i am definitely going to read it now after its ben released. as someone who is from Ireland this book sticks out to me because i rarely get to read about books set in my own homeplace!
Short cute read this book sends you on a bit of a nostalgic trip, all the way back to the 90s. So cute, I loved this.
This was a really fun first book in a series, the premise is definitely right up my street and the characters were enjoyable.
Another good read
Perfect book to curl up with and to get lost in
Will have you hooked from the first page
Thanks NetGalley
It seems like a good introduction to the story itself and the characters, but I think it would have been better as the prologue to a longer book. Its reading pace is quite quickly and I think that if the author makes the plot of Irish mythology interesting it can be a cool series.
3 stars🌟🌟🌟
"Urban spaces have rules and you can figure them out and find a way to fit in, but by night, the country is wild and chaotic, subject to the whims of nature, forces beyond our control."
** I would first like to say thankyou to netgalley for providing me with this ARC!
This is a very short read about characters, Kit and Tully. It takes place in a small town in Ireland and follows the 90s music scene. I enjoyed that aspect of the book because I love reading about anything European music/rock related!
It had a very small amount of romance involved, but I'm assuming that will continue within the series. I don't know if I personally would continue with the series because I found it difficult to connect with the story, but for those who like short, music related, romance, young reads then I would definitely suggest it!
This might have actually been the first I read a romance book that was entirely from a male pov. I thought i would enjoy it by just reading the blurb but I DNF'd it at 50 percent, it was just boring for me.
FIRST KISS is Book 1 in the Kit & Tully Series. It's brilliant. It is well written, with a good plot and the characters are credible. Looking forward to book 2!
This was a uplifting and modern romance which centers around two teenagers in the confusing situation where they don't realise that they have feelings for each other. It is the traditional Boy meets Girl, Girl like other Boy and then they end up together.
The cover really grabbed my attention but I wasn't able to get into this story as much as I wanted to. It wasn't my style simply. It could be yours.
Unfortunately this one wasn't for me. The story follows 18-year-old Tully moving to a new town, where he meets Kit. While Tully is moving over Kit, Kit is mooning over Mac - the sexy lead singer in a well-known band that happens to be spending the summer in their small Irish town. The idea of including some supernatural elements in the story intrigued me, but overall the characters felt too young for me to relate to.
Thankyou to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read this book.
I thought this book cover was very cute.
This is my first title by this author and I will read more by them.
I enjoy her writing style.
I recommend it his story to others who want a cute story.

I’ll be honest and say the cover is what really pulled my attention. It happens, and if you say you don’t just go “give me” based on a cover alone- I don’t trust you.
At such a quick read I didn’t expect much but honestly I could not tell you what the actual plot was for this book. Based on synopsis, I thought the Celtic god would play a much larger role and was really intrigued but it’s just not relevant. I know this is setting up for a series, so sure- it might be a sneak peak at further books.
This felt a bit all over, Tully at times comes across as a gross man and his womanizing views. Shocked his crush is an academic? The mother “appearing to be a grandmother despite the father being the same age”? Why do we need that? Even his initial disgust of the scones despite admitting they tasted delicious was odd.
Being an intro almost novella to a series, maybe this will hook you enough. The ending felt weirdly rushed and abrupt and that’s perhaps to try and hook you into reading to following books but it just didn’t grab me enough.
I had to give this book a 2.8/5, only because of the nostalgia factor and because I like Tully. As more books come out, I can say that this will probably not be a series that I will continue.
This was a uplifting and modern romance which centers around two teenagers in the confusing situation where they don't realize that they have feelings for each other. It is the traditional Boy meets Girl, Girl like other Boy and then they end up together. This is set in a small Irish town which is steeped in myth and legend of a Celtic god which helps fuel the adventures that the collective group of friends undergo. This is a well written story which the author manages to pack in all of the pre-requisites for a coming of age story. The language is easy to understand and this helps to make it a quick read for the reader. I can not wait to see where this series goes in the future and is definitely on my Series watch list.
