Solid baking book, not anything too fancy, but easy to follow directions and good photographs of what you're making.

As a Leeds native, I'm familiar with the Get Baked company and know many people who are obsessed with Bruce. This cookbook is well set out and easy to follow, and it deserves a spot on any dessert lovers shelf

What a fun cookbook! I hope to try the strawberry lime pie soon and maybe a couple others. I loved the Matilda reference with Bruce's chocolate cake. With the styling and language I would probably recommend this to younger audiences (millenials will love the nostalgia) but the recipes are generally pretty classic.

Thanks to NetGalley and White Lion Publishing for the advanced copy!

I really enjoyed this colorful book with delicious images of baked goods. I can not wait to try many of them. The recipes seem to be well-explained and easy to follow.

I really couldn't get along with the way this book is written. He states that he's known for having an unusual writing style, one that is dry and a bit out there but I found it rude at times. Some of the recipes seemed interesting but the writing style completely put me off. Im sure fans of his social media will love it but as id never heard of him this is my first encounter with his "style" and it's off-putting at best.

I didn’t know this author prior to this cookbook and he’s now my favorite. I mean look at that cover. The whole book is filled with amazing recipes (and pictures) just like that. The author is witty and writes a great (concise) recipe. I will be working my way through this book. Except for the meringue bc that’s the bane of my existence. (Thanks humidity)

Perhaps the most American collection of recipes I ever beheld. Some of these sound absolutely marvelous (the pistachio pie???), others make me worry about developing diabetes even imagining me eating a slice. All in all, this is very basic pie baking, with a few creative dishes in between. The food photography is appealing and follows the branding spot-on, although I personally prefer a less saturated, less vivid aesthetic and colour palette. Again, very American.

I remember when sprinkle gate took over social media over a year ago, so seeing how far Rich Myers has come with his bake shop and now a book (in addition to having developed his own sprinkles that are UK compliant!) is fantastic!

I really enjoyed looking through the cookbook and was thrilled to see Bruce included! As a long time baker, the recipes were clear, instructive, and also had great humour in the narrative. The photos were stunning!

Unfortunately, due to other commitments and mood, I haven't been able to try out any of the recipes yet, but I definitely want to do so!

It’s about time someone came out with a baking book that has new, innovative treats that bakers everywhere will actually want to bake. Rich Myers, also known as “Mr. Sprinkles,” is a genius when it comes to fabulous, showstopper desserts in his cookbook, GET BAKED: Sensational Cakes, Bakes & Desserts.

I love this cookbook! The desserts aren’t your run-of-the-mill types that are found in hundreds (maybe thousands) of baking books. There is a touch of British culture in many of the recipes which makes it different than baking books published in the US. The prose is fun to read – Myers has a great sense of humor – and even when not in the mood to bake, this is a fun book to curl up and read.
The recipes are written in the traditional form, albeit British measurements with US measurements in parentheses. The measurements given, however require weighing rather than using measuring cups which makes it necessary to use a conversion program for most bakers. The instructions are easy-to-follow for bakers of every level, from beginning to advanced. Except, of course, for the “Bruce” a 24-layer chocolate cake that I suspect may be impossible for any of us non-professionals to really pull off at home. It’s worth purchasing the book just to see the picture of the chocolate cake where one slice serves four to six. Sprinkles (they call for his brand – Expen$ive Sprinkles) are used in many of the recipes, and make the desserts very colorful. The recipes are very appealing, and they turn out picture perfect.Incidentally, there are also beautiful photographs of every recipe, which makes it difficult to decide what to make next.

All told, this is a fun baking book and will make an excellent addition to any cookbook collection.

Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

Thanks to Net Galley and Quarto Publishing for this cookbook. I really like looking at this cookbook. The pictures were beautiful. I really enjoy and cookbooks with a lot of visual of the recipes. I'm not visual person so it gives me a good idea what it looks like. I'm looking forward to buying it and using it myself.

One of a kind recipe book. I don't usually read every sentence in the recipe books I buy. But I made an exception for this one. If you follow GB at all, you'll understand why.
(Thanks to Net Galley for this Amazing Cookbook!)

A great baking guide, with yummy looking pictures. The way this book is written makes me believe that I can bake all the incredible cakes and brownies from scratch instead of using a mix. I will be referring back to this book for a long time.

A fabulous baking cookbook! From the world famous ‘Bruce’ to *those* sprinkles, this book has it all. What a fantastic range of delicious, yet simple to make recipes. It has very clear, simple and easy to follow instructions to help guide you through each bake. I love the mouth-wateringly delicious photographs that accompany the various bakes in the book. Not only do they look simply stunning, but it helps you know what you’re aiming for. I also love Rich Myers’ witty introductions to each recipe, and his no nonsense humour. There’s a chapter at the beginning, explaining everything you’re going to need, and why.

Thank you to Quarto Publishing Group – White Lion and Netgalley for an eARC of this book to read and review.

This is a fun book with lots of full color photos of desserts in chapters on Chocolate, Nuts, Fruit, Sugar, Spice, and Bruce (the bakery's giant chocolate cake and a couple of related items).
The recipes sound delicious. They are written for UK ingredients and measurements and specifically state that they were tested in a fan assisted oven.

5 stars ! Who would’ve thought that I will laugh reading a cooking book ? I really loved it from the beginning to the end ! The recipe are nice and seems delicious and easy enough to do. But the best must be the explanations within the book that made me laugh and enjoy it. I think I need to buy this book for myself and people around that loves baking.
100% recommend , looking forward to try the recipe myself!

I'm sorry to say this, but if vou're not from the UK then vou're missing out on one of the yummiest dessert shops. Rich is the male version of a Karen & his banter is top drawer.
If you are from the UK, then you can actually order his desserts online or just take a trip to Leeds. Good luck choosing though!!
Or if you're feeling adventurous and want to take your hand to a little baking then get this on pre-order.
Released March 4th 2023 in UK & Australia, later available in April for US & rest of the world.
Baking is not my jam, but these aren't as monstrous looking as his famous Bruce cake.
Well Done Rich @getbakeduk @netgalley
