This audiobook was fantastic. She was a wonderful narrator expressing “stress” and emotions well. Sounded great at 2x speed and paired really well with the ebook. Didn’t notice any changes/omissions.

Thank you Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Audio and NetGalley for the audiobook.
The protagonist Influencer Cat is having a hard time after her business partner gets her into trouble. So she is advised to spend some time in Montana with her uncle Terry while the scandal settles down. Uncle Terry is the head ranger at Kannery National Park and as distraction he provides Cat with a job as content creator for park’s social media. Soon Cat understands that park needs some help in attracting more customers otherwise her beloved uncle and her new friends (and possible love interest) will lose their jobs.
This was a wonderful book that raised various important and prescient topics: the role and impact of social media in our lives, friendship and support. I didn’t want this book the end as I felt connection with characters and wanted to keep following their journey. I really hope there will be more books following their lives and stories of these characters.
The narrator Talon David did an amazing job giving with not only his voices, but expressing the characters’ emotions as well.

♥️ This was a cute fast paced rom-com that I finished in two days!

I thought I was getting a romance, then spent more than half the book waiting for one, and by the time the romance happened at 70% I had checked out. This book is more about a woman out of her element and finding herself. There is nothing wrong with the book, just not what I was looking for.

This book was a good, light read! I would have wished for a dual pov and narrator but I appreciated that the narrator at least didn't sound like the exact same voice, just slightly deeper. The narrator really recreated the "bimbo" Cat was at the beginning and then slowly evolved her to being not just a bimbo, but a bimbo who loves nature. I wish there was more discussion on how social media impacted Cat's self-esteem and body image as I felt it wasn't really explored as much until the last chapter/epilogue.

I really liked the idea of an influencer losing their status and going somewhere obscure to avoid the heat. The robust cast of Famous for a Living gave me several people to root for and someone who I could relate to. I enjoyed the friendship that blossomed between Cat and Mina; the quick sisterhood they formed was endearing and provided a lot of laughs. I appreciated the author writing Cat with a strong sense of self; she knew her time in Montana would be short and despite the will they won't they, Cat still knew who she was and made decisions with that in mind. I thought the epilogue tied things up nicely!
Thank you Thomas Nelson for allowing me access to this ARC.

Ahh, I love a good escape read and this definitely fits the bill. This has some great social commentary and is more of a story about personal growth. I really loved the found family aspect and was very interested in the local community. Cat's personal growth was lovely to read. The romance is very light in this one and it reads more like contemporary fiction than anything buts it’s very enjoyable nonetheless.

THE GOOD:
- Beautiful setting! I absolutely loved Kannery National Park.
- I am a huge fan of career drama and scandals, so the "snobby people life" descriptions at the beginning were great for me.
- Minor disabled rep where his disability isn't made his personality (though it is part of a major plot point later on).
- Gorgeous cover art!
- I think the ending (career-wise) worked for both characters. I was concerned that it would take the unrealistic route and that Cat would abandon her career and social media in general.
THE NOT-SO-GOOD:
- One thing I realise Melissa Ferguson loves to do is start the romance 80% into the book. Frankly, the chemistry was not there and I wasn't really rooting for them. I think setting the conflict (i.e., Cat's departure from the park) 90% into the book was a mistake because it could have been a lot more significant in their relationship and development. This really drew away from my enjoyment of the book.
- It was bizarre to show the two main characters having a kid in the epilogue when we have almost no reason to really *love* their relationship. This draws back to the last point.
???:
- I don't know where this falls but one thing that absolutely SENT me was the narrator going "ZE ICING!" literally 1% into the book.
OVERALL: I did enjoy this book, don't get me wrong. I think the concept was super fun; I do also think, however, that it shouldn't have been marketed as a romance as many other reviews seem to note. Not only was the romance lacklustre, but it was hardly there. 3.25 stars rounded down for my enjoyment of the setting and drama,

3.75 stars. Thanks to Netgalley and Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Audio . "" I really enjoyed the audio of this story that follows Cat as she falls from the glory of being famous for being a Internet Influencer and ends up in in the middle of nowhere. I loved all how the different females voices were portrayed because they didn't sound the same at all.

When her business partner is accused of serious financial crimes, superstar influencer Cat Cranwell accepts her uncle's offer to work with him in Kannery National Park, Montana. There’s one tiny problem—she’s falling for Zaiah, the ruggedly handsome park ranger—and he hates anything remotely connected to social media, quite possibly her included.
I loved the antics the park rangers got into in and around the park. The wildlife described made me want to pack up and hole up in a cabin just to escape real life for a bit. I wouldn't try the Polar Bear Plunge though 😂
This was a slow burn, with both Zaiah and Cat having understandable reasons for not giving in to their growing attraction. I did wish to see more of the romance between them, but I loved that the focus was more on Cat's growth as a person away from what she had known for half her life.
I've been meaning to try this author so when I got the audiobook I was ecstatic! The narrator did a great job, what with all the different voices she had to do 😂
Thank you to Netgalley and Publisher for an ALC of this book.

This was my first Melissa Ferguson read, though I’ve picked up several others from a great Chirp sale. Hoping the others are a bit more exciting and mature feeling!
This one is about Cat, who has been a social media influencer her entire adult life - and has been good at it. She signed off on a new contract with a friend without getting her lawyer to read it over, knowing she was being hasty. Of course, the decision came back to haunt her, very quickly. Her only relative came to her rescue and she moved from NYC where she’d become PNG (persona non grata), to a national park where he was a ranger. She and her new nature friends live a completely different existence from what she knew, but they are relying on her experience to help bring more visitors in to save the national park.
Cat and ranger Zaiah, who met once before in the city, have a rocky start but form a friendship. It’s a very slow burn, clean (kissing only) romance between the two in a complete opposites attract romance. A lot of very interesting things Cat lives through in her new environment. It’s a definite character growth story - I found it to be quite a slow paced story and found my attention wandering quite a bit. This is why I wasn’t able to rate it higher - I was looking forward to this one and had higher hopes… the character of Cat was extremely immature and self-centered at the start and while she did have the character growth, she was still not a very likable character at the end. 3.5-stars, rounded up to 4.
Audio- narrated by David Talon, who did a pretty good job. Not a voice I have heard before.
I received an advance review and listen copy from NetGalley and Thomas Nelson, and this is my honest feedback.

I really enjoy Melissa Ferguson but this book unfortunately wasn’t a hit for me. A story of a social media influencer and a deal gone wrong she goes to Montana to work for her Uncle a park ranger. There she meets a cast of characters including a handsome ranger. The more they spend time together the more they care for each other, but can it be love?
I didn’t like our main protagonists in this story. She was careless and thoughtless and even her changing I found her irritating. Only caring for herself her decisions could harm others. She is suppose to have a close relationship with her uncle but you see little of that relationship. Also her fall from grace isn’t explained well. I couldn’t figure out what she did. The male protagonist is the only thing that saved the book. I was totally in his corner. I really went in wanting to love this book but unfortunately it wasn’t for me. Would I recommend the book, yes I would. Would I give my honest opinion, again yes. Read it and see for yourself!

Famous for a Living was a fun read with serious undertones. I want to thank Thomas Nelson and Libro FM for granting me access to this title.
I really enjoyed this one as an audiobook. I listened to it while traveling between various schools on a Monday and it was a great pick me up. I don't often spend my day in the car, but I was in the car so much and this book kept me wanting to listen to more.
Cat's life is falling apart. Her business partner is accused of financial fraud and in an effort to decrease her face being splashed in the tabloids, Cat agrees to visit her uncle in Kannery National Park. This social media influencer isn't used to be offline, but here she is forced to rethink her trajectory.
I have to say, I liked Cat's character. I thought she was good-hearted. I haven't seen that often in books I've been reading recently. She's also genuinely feeling at odds with herself. Her role working for her uncle takes on new dimensions that align with her skillset and her creativity takes off in many ways. However, that doesn't mean everyone is excited for this city slicker to be there. Zaiah, the park ranger loves nature and being off the grid so Cat is by far the most irritating human who enters his space unwelcome.
I liked this book. I wouldn't say I loved it. When I finished it, I actually thought it was just a nice book, but over the last two weeks, I've been thinking about the book a lot. I read this and within a week read Seven Rules For Breaking Hearts by Kristyn J. Miller and really enjoyed the social media/ influencer themes between these two books. It's caused a lot of good thinking for me. Sometimes, the beauty in a book is what it leaves with you long after you've closed it and in this case Melissa Ferguson has done just that.

I loved this book. I did the audio version which was very well done. The story line was well thought out and and the character development was spot on. The characters were fun to get to know. I was very satisfied with the ending .

Such a fantastic book! Very in tune with today’s culture of Insta famousness!! I love how it ends, and that the author ties the story up neatly.

I felt like I was watching a Netflix original while I was listening to this, it could easily be turned into one. There were moments that were over the top to me, but a lot of the social media obsession is over my head so I’m sure it was pretty realistic to some. I did like watching how Cat eventually turned her social media presence into a way to actually showcase real life and use to to help causes. Zaiah was a classic grumpy neighbor character who didn’t approve of Cats obsession with her phone. He seemed extreme about it until we finally got a glimpse into his past. This was my first time listening to Talon David but she did a great job bringing these characters to life!

This book truly is about Cat learning what is truly important in life as she is in a small town setting after a mess up with her influencer status on social media that results in a huge loss of followers.
When this happens it kicks off our plot for her to end up in a small town working there to truly start to learn what is important in life.
While then there is a love interest and romance plot between Cat and Zaiah truly this isn’t the forefront of the book and more of a women’s fiction.
Thank you to the publisher for my ARC of this one in exchange for my review!

Literally, every person who has a smart phone and/or social medua shoud read this book!! So many powerful truths and messages!!
I was instantly drawn into Cat's world. As an influencer myself I totally understood the lifestyle of always having my phone in my hand. I was thrilled that it all upended for her! And she handled it like a BOSS!
Oh, and Zaiah. What a perfect male character if there ever was one! I loved him from the airport and all the way through to the end. He was swoonworthy every step of the way.
The other park rangers, that quirky and charming Mina, Zaiah's mom, Cat's uncle Terry and best friend Serena were all very well thought out and they filled in all the pores of Cat's life. I did not want this story to end! I loved the audiobook version, and am a huge fan of Talon David's narrating!

Definitely a cute read. From the description, the only let down for me was that I wish it was funnier. I think part of that stems from narrator presentation.

I was lucky enough to receive an audiobook ARC of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Honestly this book was just okay to me. I think it may have been better marketed as a fiction book with a romance subplot than just romance.
I did not feel the chemistry or spark between the love interest. The primary focus of the book seemed to be more about Cat finding herself, and getting off her phone, more than about her connection with Zaiah. I think the book would have been more what I was expecting if it were marked as fiction.
