The Springfest Sprint was an easy read. I finished it in about an hour and 20 minutes. It was plot (mating…) based but had some good character development that made you want the story to go a certain way. It reminded me of a ACOTAR type of scene but way more spice.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for granting me access to this book in exchange for an honest review.

What a quick, fun and spicy fantasy novella!! I really loved it so much! ♥️ The Springfest Sprint is a dark fantasy romance with an instant love trope and the perfect amount of character development, world building and spice. It had everything I could possibly want in a Fae story from Seelies and Unseelies, traditions, magic and romance. My only complaint is I wanted MORE!!

Ember is a sassy and strong FMC and I absolutely loved her! She is of binding age and is forced to participate in the traditional Springfest Sprint as one of the hunted. Whoever is caught is mated for life. While running to escape from the unbounded males, she finds a hiding place. However, Ember quickly realizes that she is not alone.....!!

I was completely enthralled from start to finish. Hoping and patiently waiting for more of this fascinating Fae world. I highly recommend this book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Overall I loved the erotica, but I found myself wanting more background on both characters. There was little context other than the game, so it was lacking in plot.

Funny, spicy, perfect! A quick read that really has it all. Ember is running from a sloppy kisser and stumbles upon the super hot Typhon. Thankfully he's a much better kisser. I full on belly laughed at different parts of the book, but loved the sexy scenes just as much. Wonderful writing and I hope there is a longer sequel on the Horizon!

It is a short fun read. I devoured this book really quickly. I would’ve liked it better as a longer more in depth book, but I definitely enjoyed the read.

This was a quick and spicy little read.

Ember is of binding age making her an unwilling participant in the Springfest Sprint of the seelie Spring court. Which means she hasn't bonded with anyone before binding age and now she must participate in the sprint as one of the hunted. Binding her wings to her back and running from those unbonded males that basically force those hunted into a forever bond, essentially becoming mates. While on the run she finds a hiding place to wait out the allotted time, finding that she isn’t alone.

This was a quick and fun read. It’s one that isn’t steeped heavy in plot and too many characters to count. There are other characters, but they are very minor. Typhon and his hidden identity are just the entertaining hiding partner Ember needs. Very entertaining might I add. This book was spicy but not over the top. There was still some actual conversation between the two. Although short, making it not seem too much like insta-lust. I’d give it a 2ish/5 on the spice scale because it's not very long. Also, we love a dual POV.

If you’re looking for a quick read and a break between books. I’d recommend this.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for my advanced readers copy of the Springfest Sprint by Georgie Monroe.
Content Warnings: forced bonding/mating event and sexual descriptions
A dark romance about a spring seelie and an unseelie who find each other in a chaotic way. This romance was so steamy! This was a very quick read with an intriguing story. It was a very good mix of plot and spice. The plot was very well written and it wasn’t over shadowed by the spice, like some dark romances tend to be. My only complaint is that I wish the story was longer! I wish the two main characters had a little more time to get to know each other. Overall I enjoyed it so much I might have to reread immediately!
I would recommend this book to those who like a story along with their spice.

3⭐️ quick spicy novella. I enjoyed the plot. Ember reads like a spoiled and entitled princess, so as far as FMC’s go, she wasn’t my favorite. The writing I had a rough time with. There were quite a few times I couldn’t picture what was happening, I was pretty confused. For a spicy novella, the sexy scenes left a little to be desired.

Ember has reached bonding age without claiming a mate which means she now has to participate in the Springfest Sprint to await the possible claiming by fae hunters. While some eagerly anticipate the chance to be claimed, Ember refuses to allow herself to be claimed by any of the many men who thirst for her body, her power, and her title. That is, until she meets someone who throws a wrench into her plans. Attraction can be so inconvenient at times, or perfect 😉

“The Springfest Sprint” is a quick smutty novella. While the spice could have been spicier, it was still really enjoyable. I would recommend for a quick, heated read.

I'm always impressed when authors can pack so much information so seamlessly into such a short story. This felt like reading a well-developed movie with some very hot spice.

I enjoyed Ember and her fierceness very much. The Springfest Sprint is certainly a harsh tradition in the name of reproduction. I would rhink happy matings would have a better reproduction rate and i hope the spring fae court figures that out over the course of this authors's future storytelling.

The fae world built, with the differences of Seelies and Unseelies, was fascinating. I'm not much for following Vellas, but i will certainly watch for the next completed novella to release.

Thank you Netgalley for the Arc, I loved every minute of it!

I grabbed this because the cover is absolutely stunning. I’m really loving the heavy Fae and Fairy presence on fantasy lately. I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting much from a short story but this book delivered sealed with a kiss!

Great characters who give a lot of backstory without any backstory. Fun relatable and loveable characters all around. The story is listed as erotica but I would say leans much heavier to romance. It’s a great book with a strong emphasis on respect and consent.

The spice was stunning and not over the top and the scenes and visuals are beautiful. I would really be interested in seeing this turned into a series (which it looks like it will be) I would definitely read more. Fantasy readers don’t pass up this book!

Consider me a fan! After the blurb caught my attention I knew it would an interesting read. However, I was blown away by the loveable and sassy characters and the impressive world building packed into this small novella. For lovers of everything Fae, I’d say this is definitely a must read, as it gives a refreshing new take on Fae-lore. The main characters, Ember, Ty(phon) and Donovan have already captured my head in just a few pages - consider the hunt successful ;) - and the way Ember and Typhon interact is so much fun to read! I simply can’t get enough of them.

The story felt a little rushed at times, yet in such a small format the pace of the narrative is still very clever, impactful and keeps you entertained till the very last page. Which is impressive considering the size of the novella!

Springtime Sprint is definitely the novella to pick up for a short and entertaining read. Fair warning tho: It will leave you wanting more!

One thing is for sure, I’m hooked to the authors books now and can’t wait to see more of this world ✨

If you are expecting great writing and plot from this, you will be very disappointed. The writing is very juvenile at times and the storyline is a little shaky. But, I'm not really sure what else I expected from something in the erotica genre. It serves its purpose. Its very smutty. Basically, if you're looking for some quick fairy porn, here you go.

It was very very quick to the spicy parts. There was almost no character or world-building as to what in the what is going on who in the who is who or anything else. It’s plain spice and if you like that then you’ll love this but it’s not for me.

Thank you for NetGalley for providing this Arc

This is a delightful novella that has great pacing and a very well built world for such a short story. The writing is excellent and the story had me hooked from the get go.

I did find the smut in this to be quite cringey- the dialogue during the spicy scenes seemed better placed in a cheesy modern p0rn flick than in fantasy erotica. The dirty talk the author chose took me out of the story and kept me from fully enjoying the scenes because it just felt out of place in the world they built. I also dropped a star because I’m honestly just not a fan of fated mates romances where the mates are okay with sharing each other. If this wasn’t framed as a fated mates story with true mates, I wouldn’t have had a problem with it, but since this story has the MMC & FMC as true mates I would have preferred to see more primal possessiveness from the both of them.

This novella was an enjoyable and easy to follow read. I quickly read it in one sitting and could not get enough. There was a good amount of chemistry between the two main characters. There was also decent world building and background information. I especially liked the detail about the liar’s curse/punch. Most books about fae state that they cannot lie, but never give any information on why that is or what would happen if they tried to lie. I would love to read a full length novel set in this world with a closer more detailed look at the different courts.

I AM IN LOVE. I did not expect this to be so fucking good. If you read fairy books as a kid and loved it, this is for you. I will reread this and read anything the author publishes now. Some of the dialogue was a bit cringey but overall it was so much fun and I loved it. I laughed and enjoyed myself immensely. Go read it.

This was a great short read! I didn’t want to put it down!
The hunt was entertaining, brutal and was more intense than I expected.
The moments between Ember and Ty were heated the whole way through. I wish there was more than a Vella, it left me wanting more of them.
