I am still in shock regarding how this book ended. This book literally had so many twist and turns I could not keep up. I am a big fan of Frieda McFadden books and I thought nothing could top The Housemaid but this book definitely took me for a ride. I loved the development of the main characters and their back stories. This book came together beautifully I read it in a day and could not put it down.

I loved this book! Two main characters told from their alternating POVs. I've read ALL of Freida's previous books and I STILL didn't guess what was going on.

What a great book. I couldn’t put it down. There were so many twists, couldn’t believe it ended how it did. Dawn the obsessed turtle co worker goes missing and her cubicle co worker next to her is getting it pinned on her. The way this turns out, is a crazy ride.

Rating this 3 stars, thought it was a little slow. Not the book for me. Characters were insufferable.

Freida McFadden is my go to author when I want a good thriller with a twist I never see coming. She did not dissapoint with her new book, The Coworker. I enjoy her writing style, as it makes it easy to read and finish fast. She gives a two person point of view, which kept the story interesting. Highly recommend this one and any other books written by Freida!

Freida McFadden does it again! 4.5⭐️ for The Coworker! Dawn may be her quirkiest character yet and everyone knows a Natalie in real life. I flew through this thriller in 2 days. Buckle up, Freida fans! This is a fun one!

Thank you to NetGalley & Poisoned Pen Press for an Advanced Reader Copy of The Coworker which did not affect my review.

I love Freida McFadden’s books, and usually fly through them! This book was no different. The story about Natalie and her unusual coworker, Dawn, was very intriguing. When Natalie notices her very punctual coworker is late to work, she starts to be concerned. As the day goes on, she realizes how strange it is that she isn’t at work and hasn’t told anyone she would be out. Natalie ends up going to Dawn’s house and discovers evidence that Dawn is missing, and maybe even dead. It seemed like every chapter gave a detail that made you question what exactly was going on. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, although I felt like I was able to guess the twists about halfway through the book. It was still a solid story and I would definitely recommend giving it a read!

Natalie’s coworker and friend goes missing. Dawn is like clockwork so when she doesn’t arrive to work on time Natalie suspects something happened. As the story unravels we start to question just how friendly Natalie and Dawn truly were. This was a quick read. I felt like I figured some of the twists out fairly early but this book still left me guessing.

This was my least favorite Freida book to date. I’m not sure why but it just never seemed to come together in a cohesive way. I didn’t identify with any of the characters. Interesting that McFadden says that she has struggled with writing this novel for many years. Just didn’t flow off the pen.

I binged this book in less than a day. Incredibly twisty plot that kept me hooked throughout. Really interesting story as well, definitely different to other thrillers I’ve read lately. Highly recommend!

This was sooooo good!!! I just flew through it (with less sleep as a result). Women who read this will see themselves or other women they know. The dynamics in a workplace that remind me of terrible middle school and the mean girls. Oblivious “popular” girls who don’t realize what their words and actions do to those struggling just to get through every day. I love the twists in this. Great ending! Can’t wait to share this with others!

Thank you to Poisoned Press and Netgalley for this e-ARC. These are my own opinions.

The Coworker follows Natalie Farrell and Dawn Schiff. They are coworkers at Vixed. Dawn sticks to her schedule down to the minute and is obsessed with turtles. Natalie is the "Golden child" of the company. Everyone loves her or do they? What happens when Dawn goes missing and no one but Natalie seems to be worried? Natalie takes it upon herself to check on her. That is when everything starts hitting the fan.
This was a fast paced psychological thriller. It kept me on the edge of my seat right up until the end.
The storyline of bullying really showed that bullying is not only a thing that happens in a school setting. The story also talks about suicide and what the people left behind deal with it. It really makes you step back and think about how words and actions really can make a difference.
As I read this book, I had several questions. As the story went along all of the questions were answered. I really enjoyed that the story had a lot of twists and turns that kept me guessing right until the end.
I will definitely NOT look at turtles the same way again. (If you know, you KNOW!)

Freida McFadden has done it again!!
Dawn is strange to everyone that works with her and when you add in a turtle obsession she comes across as even stranger. Natalie is the beauty queen that tends to bully those that are different. Put them together in a workplace and nothing good is going to come of it. Needless to say this story is ripe with tons of drama, twists and OMG moments. As usual this is a gripping thriller that you can’t put down until the very end. There’s twists and turns that keep you on your toes throughout the entire book! I absolutely loved it and can only say if your not reading McFadden then you’re missing out!

Thank you NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for this amazing read!

This was my first Freida McFadden thriller, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love the workplace setting - so many thrillers I read are "domestic" (which I love), and this was a great shift in context. McFadden unfolded the story well, switching between a "present day" with our main character and emails to and from the coworker who has gone missing. This sets up a really nice tension for revealing various secrets and also leads the reader to wonder just how unreliable this narrator really is. Is she really just deluding herself a bit or is she truly psychopathic? The themes of bullying and revenge were well-portrayed. In all, a solid read!

This has been Freida’s best book yet! I could not put it down! It had my attention the entire time and oh the twists did not fail me!

I really enjoyed this book. It was a quick read and like usual Freida is back with the twists and turns. The Coworker is a story about work relationships, bullying, and murder. The gray space between right and wrong. If you want a quick twisty read I highly recommend!

Frieda McFadden never disappoints! Her latest book, The Coworker, is fast paced and keeps the reader on the edge of their seats. I have anxiously awaited all of her books and I'm always wanting to read more. The story revolves around 2 coworkers and questions about who wanted Dawn dead. McFadden does a great job with character development and gives the reader a chance to be involved in the story line.
This book, like all of her books has a seemingly certain plot with enough twists at the end for the reader to think, "wait, what just happened?"
A must read for all of Freida McFadden fans.

Fist off, I am a HUGE Freida fan. I’ve read all of her books, and I recommend them to everyone. It pains me to say that this one was just fine for me. It was quick and intriguing and there was nothing wrong with it, but it didn’t hit in the same way so many of her books have for me. I was highly anticipating this, so maybe I built up my expectations too high. I LOVED Dawn and how freaking weird she was, but the twists didn’t twist for me. I’ll still gobble up anything Freida writes forever and ever.
