Part 1 of this book had me convinced I knew what what happening, who killed who, who was victim and who was a bully, who was to blame and who was in on it. Part 2 shows up and blew all that up. I was wrong about everything. Part 2 was twist after twist. It was a shocking turn of events. 5 stars ⭐️
Wow, she has done it again. This book keeps you guessing the whole time with some pretty great twists.
Freidas books always put my suspicions on high alert. As I read them I’m always thinking about who could possibly be involved in the crime. I love the way she works my mind! Well done Freida. You never disappoint.
Freida has done it again! I absolutely loves this book and read it in less than 24 hours. I had to know what happened next after every chapter. The twists and turns were shocking, I did not see them coming! Awesome read, I definitely recommend to anyone!
Excited to read my favorite authors new book! This one was okay for me. The first half of the book was a little boring. The second was fast paced and my jaw dropped open a few times. Of course the ending was totally unexpected which I love! Overall it was a good read!
The Coworker is the upcoming thriller novel by Freida McFadden. It is supposed to release on 29th August. I have read three books by the author and was very excited to read this.
The story is about Natalie, who is a beautiful, popular, top sales rep whose life turns upside-down when she's suspected of murdering her shy and awkward coworker Dawn. Surprisingly evidence stars piling up against her which confuses her as to who's the real victim, Dawn or her?
I found this book decent enough but not as good and twisted as the previous ones. I could guess some things and was surprised with some revelations. So I can say it is kind of a mixed feeling that I have. The buildup was good, but sometimes the middle it stretched and few things are not clear at the end
I did finish the book fast as I expected to be bombarded with twists like the previous book. Sadly not many came along. Maybe I had too much expectations from the book.
For beginners in this genre, this will be very well enjoyed but dedicated fans like me, especially the fans of the author will be a bit disappointed.
Thank you so much for the ARC @netgalley @poisonedpenpress
This book was soooo good!! I loved it!!! Kept me guessing until the very end. I couldn’t put it down and I finished it in just 1 day!! I thought I knew the twist….but no…. I was wrong…..then there was another twist followed by another twist followed by another twist! Sooo sooo good!!
Thank you from the very bottom of my heart for choosing me to read this book!! My heart was swelling and running over with love when I saw I was chosen. Thank you again!!! Can’t wait until the next Freida books comes out!!
Once you pick this up - you will NOT be able to put it back down! This intense thriller had me guessing at every corner and page. You will never know who did what AND WHY until the very last page. Freida never disappoints me and today won’t be that day either. Plot, characters, pace, and intrigue are all a 5/5 for me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
I’m a huge Freida fan. A Freida readah if you will. I’ve read almost all of her books, and just like the rest, The Coworker was extremely engaging. I will say, I didn’t find it as twisty-turny or as jaw dropping as the others. When I read never lie, my jaw was on the FLOOR!!! That being said, this was still an awesome book. Even though I was able to guess what happened, you still are never able to ACTUALLY guess the full ending. If you know Freida you know there are multiple twists and when you think it’s over, ya right.
Thank you for the opportunity to be an ARC reader for this book. Freida McFadden has done it again! I absolutely loved this book!
I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know all of the characters and was completely shocked a multitude of times. The twists and turns always kept me guessing. Just when I thought I figured it out, nope! Guess again! This book was incredibly hard to put down. Had it not been for the fact that I had to go to work, I would have read it in one sitting.
I will most certainly be adding this to our collection at the library and will be recommending to all of our patrons, my family, and friends.
Wow! In true Freida McFadden fashion a whirlwind of twists and turns that leaves you wondering what just happened until the very last page! I was hooked from page one and read in just over a day! Great storyline, well developed characters and an ending you just wouldn’t see coming!
Wow! What a roller coaster of a book. The twists this book has 🤯
Freida McFadden has you on the edge of your seat up to the final page!
The way the characters develop through the book was great. First I liked Natalie and then not and then again. Dawn and her 🐢🐢🐢
Would 100% recommend this book!
Another page turner from the Queen of twists. Fast paced and a quick read, I devoured it in a day.
Told from the point of view of two very different woman, enjoy a story of murder, mystery, work place bullying and sweet, sweet revenge. Sprinkle in some turtle facts and you go yourself a “shell” of a book 😂
Freida Mcfadden again did not disappoint. The Coworker had me gripped from the start. I read in one sitting, could not put it down. I love how I thought I had it figured out but then an unexpected twist, then I thought I really had it figured out and again nope. I learned alot of fun facts about turtles also. This book is a good reminder not all things stay in the past. Definitely one of her best books yet. I can't wait for everyone to be able to read it Definitely get your copy August 29th.
Freida McFadden has done it again with consuming my afternoon with another psychologist twister. I finished this in one quick sitting.
The plot has two female main characters who surprise you in each chapter while bringing you to wonder if you are going in the right twisted direction. Most likely you aren't, like always!
It brings up workplace toxicity and bullying, while ending with Freida's ever so clever psychological twist.
It was fast paced and let me tell you I learned a lot about turtles.
Thank you Freida, Net Galley, and Poisoned Pen Press!!
My first vibe from this book was very “Stan” by Eminem in regards to Dawn and her emails. If you know, you know. But twists and turns are true Freida-fashion. I knew that nothing was as it seemed and boy was I right! Looking forward to more Freida-reads!
Freida McFadden always writes the best twisty thrillers. This one is definitely entertaining and I devoured it quickly BUT something that bothered me is the disabled person being portrayed as unhinged and a villain. It just seems like it feeds into the narrative that people with disabilities are “crazy.”
Frieda does it again with another bingeable thriller. I ate this up in less than 24 hours. Her best work to date so far.
Thank you to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for the ARC!
Freida does it again!
I could not put this down! I just wanted to know what was going to happen next. When you think you know what is going to happen, think again!
Dawn is that coworker that everyone finds a little strange and when she doesn't show up to work at her normal precise time and set of events start that will keep you reading.
Thanks for the opportunity to read this arc book.
I thought I had it figured out (as always), wrong again!
I enjoyed getting to know Dawn, and learning more about turtles.
Natalie, not so much.
Definitely will be recommending.
📖 Two women. An office filled with secrets. One terrible crime that can't be taken back.
Dawn Schiff is strange.
At least, everyone thinks so at Vixed, the nutritional supplement company where Dawn works as an accountant. She never says the right thing. She has no friends. And she is always at her desk at precisely 8:45 a.m.
So when Dawn doesn't show up to the office one morning, her coworker Natalie Farrell―beautiful, popular, top sales rep five years running―is surprised. Then she receives an unsettling, anonymous phone call that changes everything…
It turns out Dawn wasn't just an awkward outsider―she was being targeted by someone close. And now Natalie is irrevocably tied to Dawn as she finds herself caught in a twisted game of cat and mouse that leaves her wondering: who's the real victim?
But one thing is incredibly clear: somebody hated Dawn Schiff. Enough to kill.
