Freida has done it again with this one. It will no doubt be an absolute hit.

What happens when your quirky coworker goes missing? Who is at fault? What secrets is everyone keeping?!

Captivated from beginning to end and completely satisfied with this ending. Twist after twist and so many questions that get tied up neatly with a little bow!

Frieda writing never fails to keep me engulfed in her novels but this one was a 5 star read.

Another good one by Freida! The Coworker is a thriller that starts out with a woman named Dawn, who has a schedule you can rely on like clockwork, not showing up for work one day. Her coworker, Natalie, knows it means something is amiss and the plot is really set into motion when Natalie goes to investigate Dawn's unusual absence. This leads to several surprises, twists, and suspense.

As always, I really like Freida's writing style. It flows well and holds my attention, even when my brain is feeling a little scrambled by stress. The plot of this book was intriguing. It had a few predictable spots, but there were also several twists I didn't see coming! The story was perfectly paced. It moved fast and kept you interested. I hate when books have what, in my opinion, is an unsatisfying ending and this one was NOT an ending to hate. It wrapped up nicely and all my questions were answered.

It was clear pretty early on that Dawn is neurodivergent. I love that. I related to a lot of her ways of thinking and the way she acts. Her obsession with turtles was mentioned a lot, but it didn't bother me. Maybe that's because I also love turtles. None of the characters in this book were actually very likable, for different reasons. Their likability wasn't a deterrent to finishing the book though.

Overall, this is definitely worth a read if you want a fast-paced thriller with twists right up until the end!

Huge thank you to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for providing this ARC!

I loved it! I thought I had it figured out a couple of times but I was wrong lol… so many unexpected twists! There’s not a whole lot I can say that won’t completely give the plot away but if you like Freida’s other books you will love this! She has such a way of making you care for such despicable people lol 😂 and I will forever think of this book every time I see a turtle lol…

Thanks to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for an advance copy!

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book and really liked it. However, I didn't feel it was on of Freida's best. I didn't really care for the running theme of turtles. I felt it was just information the reader didn't need. I could have done without that. That being said, I will continue to read anything this lady writes. She has a way of pulling you in and surprising you at the end.

“She may be dangerous. But so am I.”

Freida has done it again with another fast past thriller!! It was the perfect amount of suspense and questioning.

Highly recommend!

I've been a Freda fan since I read Do Not Disturb late last year. Since then, I have been addicted to her books! This one kept my on the edge of my seat, and once I got into it, I couldn't put it down! If you're a fan of her other books, you'll like this one just as much! Definitely worth it.

As always, Freida McFadden created a masterpiece. Her books are fast-paced, interesting, and easy to follow!
Natalie is the coworker that everyone loves to hate. She is beautiful, great at her job, and almost everyone likes her. Well almost everyone. Dawn on the other hand, is weird. At least that's what everyone says. When Dawn goes missing Natalie becomes the main suspect.

This book completely deserves five full beaming stars!

Dawn Schiff is a new girl at the office. She’s weird, she brushes everyone up the wrong way (unbeknownst to her) and has a rather unhealthy obsession with turtles.
Dawn is always on time to the millisecond, so when she doesn’t turn up for work one day with no call to the boss her coworker Natalie Farrell is quite worried!

This novel was super relatable with a ‘mean girls’ vibe that takes you right back to high school! And, anyone who has ever worked in an office full of females knows what I mean too!

One thing I found myself asking while reading this book was “who is the victim and who is the bad guy?”.
The bullied? The bully? The bystanders?…

Anyway, I digress. The famous ‘Freida twists’ and her fast paced , easily readable writing did not disappoint!
The plot queen has done it yet again with this awesome book! I was ecstatic to find I’d been accepted to be a first reader before publishing! This is one book I have been anxiously waiting for! It’s up there in my top three. Easily!

I am so thankful to have the opportunity to read this ARC! As always, Freida kept me going down a crazy roller coaster ride with this one! I could barely put it down and read it in 1 day. Love the short chapters and easiness her books provide for me. They always keep my coming back. This book had a very good lesson in it which is to always be kind to others. Even if they are different. And I appreciate that because there is sometimes not enough kindness is the world.

Thank you to Freida McFadden and Poisoned Pen Press for the an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Once again Freida got me again with all of the twists and turns and I was flipping pages quickly thinking, just one more chapter. That turned into me reading this book in one sitting.

I don't want to give away absolutely any spoilers for this one but in this author's true fashion she took me on an interesting, entertaining and suspenseful read that I really enjoyed. The character development in this was top notch.

If you are a fan of Freida you will NOT be disappointed with this one.

Whew this one was twistyyy and I devoured it so quickly! Felt like I had it figured out so many times & I didn’t. A great story about how we don’t always know the full story, even when we’re given multiple perspectives. I enjoyed the e-mail format along with present day dialogue. Felt like there could’ve been more in the ending. Was kinda left wanting more…

Thank you so much to Freida McFadden, NetGalley, and the publisher for allowing me to read this ahead of its publication!

***** I received this book as a free ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Freida McFadden is one of my all time favorite authors. This story takes bullying and revenge to new levels. I liked how she created characters who were “different”. I felt that Dawn could have possibly had Autism. Freida always has a few twists.

This story follows four main character/coworkers: Natalie (the popular blonde in the office who is a top saleswoman for their pharmaceutical company), Dawn (the accountant for the company who is a little odd in many ways and shares a cubicle with Natalie), Caleb (the part-time computer programmer who is dating Natalie), and Seth (the manager of the office). When Dawn goes missing and the police start investigating the others in the office, who will be the one to take the fall for Dawn’s murder?

I really enjoyed this story, it kept me engaged and dying to know what the heck was the truth at the end. I hated every single character and wasn’t attached to anyone. I didn’t see some of the plot twists coming, but others I did figure out.

I was lucky enough to score an ARC of The Coworker by our queen and savior Freida McFadden. Let me just start this review off by saying WHAT!!?!

The twists! The turns! The red herrings! The big reveal! I was so genuinely invested in this story that I caught myself crying on more than one occasion. Let me sum it up for you:

Dawn Schiff likes turtles. I mean she REALLY likes turtles. Enough that she has a problem making friends because of it. But in addition to her love of those shelled little buddies, she also loves routine. Which is why her coworker Natalie is shocked when Dawn doesn't show up for work. She decides to head over to Dawn's house but what she finds will leave you (shell) shocked!

Another ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 star read from Freida and I'm so thankful I was able to read it in advance!

Publication date is August 29th, don't forget to pre-order!

Dawn and Natalie are very different but work next to each other at a nutrition company. Dawn is an accountant who is obsessed with turtles, dresses dowdy and is awkward in social situations. Natalie is in sales and is beautiful and outgoing. Dawn is very prompt and arrives and leaves work at the exact same time everyday so Natalie is concerned when she doesn't show up for work. She becomes more concerned when Dawn's office phone rings and she receives a ominous message from someone that sounds like Dawn. As Natalie searches for Dawn, she becomes a suspect in Dawn's disappearance. In alternating chapters we read letters Dawn wrote to a friend. Some of the letters are too long. Other than that the story kept me guessing how this mystery was going to end and it was something I never would have predicted.

Freida McFadden never disappoints! For fans of The Housemaid and Housemaids Secret, this book is for you. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, I was wrong. I loved the unexpected twists and turns of this book!

I was elated to be selected to read the ARC from NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press. This would be a good read for older students.

Freida McFadden is becoming my favourite author. Her novels are usually quick, easy and entertaining reads and this did not disappoint. Slowly new facts are introduced with the main character, Natalie's, viewpoint and letters written by her coworker, Dawn. While I am not easily surprised, I could appreciate the author's efforts even if it didn't blow me away. It was an unraveling reveal vs. a slam dunk easy solve. It was very enjoyable and I would recommend.
