If your kiddos love dinos this is a cute story!! My boys both enjoyed it and the illustrations! One down side was some of the dinosaurs they used, some of the names can be hard to pronounce even for us Adults lol
Another fun, but somewhat silly, book. Every library should have a copy of this for those reluctant participants to enjoy.
I loved this cute book. Even my son liked the book and he is 13 years old. He kinda wished there were dinosaurs in the library then he would go and get books. Great way to get kids who.are beginning readers to go to the library. I think it would actually work. The illustrations are great and fun.
I received a free copy of the book and is voluntarily writing a review
This is a cute book that talks about the different types of dinosaurs. It focuses mainly on the plant eaters, but also discusses what happens when the meat eating preditors arrive.
had so much fun reading this book, the story is so adorable and the illustrations were so well done and charming, there’s so many little details in every page that I couldn’t stop but be mesmerized by it all. I will definitely be recommending it! Thank you netgalley and the publisher for this early copy

There Are Dinosaurs in the Library! by A.G. Allen is a super fun story that takes kids on an exciting adventure to a land of dinosaurs. Mrs. Barker wants to take her class to the library, but Alyssa is distracted. To get her interested, Mrs. Barker mentions dinosaurs, and that does the trick! The story is full of creativity and takes you on a cool trip to the library. Suddenly, the library turns into a dinosaur playground, surprising and thrilling the children, especially Alyssa. A.G. Allen tells the story in a way that makes you feel amazed and happy, making this book a great read for kids of all ages who love adventures and using their imagination.
Such an adorable story about imagination and how libraries are truly for everyone! Loved reading this and cannot wait to add it to our school library shelves!
I received this from netgalley and the opinions are my own.this is a cute story about the power of reading. I read this with my 2 year old and 9 year old. They both loved it. I would definitely recommend this book.
This book is adorable! I LOVE the illustrations. If you're looking for a fun book to get kids excited about the library or you have a kid who love dinosaurs, this book is for you!
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC in return for an honest review.
What a cute book! My 2 and 6 year old both really enjoyed it as a bedtime story. The illustrations are beautiful!
What a brilliant way to reinforce reading! This book demonstrates that you can immerse yourself into most any book and imagine yourself as part of the book setting and a character within, as well. The teacher, Mrs. Blakey, is trying to get one, Alyssa, to learn to want to read, she currently hates to read and refuses to go to the library. The teacher decides to tell the class there are dinosaurs in the library. The class is very excited except for Alyssa. The teacher does convince her to go and at least listen for awhile. Well the teacher begins reading in the library and as she turns the pages, the dinosaurs fall off the pages, each one as she names them. They are all just standing in the library. Alyssa is mesmerized by the dinosaurs before her and learned that reading can be fun. A sneaky lesson that can be achieved by all children and it can become a family experience or you can curl up in a chair and do it on your own. This was such a cute story, but you need to prepare yourself to pronounce the dinosaur names properly or your kids will be schooling you because they know all about dinosaurs from a very young age. This book might be for four year olds and would be perfect for your home library and for sure for your teachers’ library. I would recommend this book with its beautiful illustrations. Two arms up with jazz hands and having my two thumbs up. I especially want to thank the following for allowing me to review early with my own honest opinions: #NetGalley, the publisherThe author #A.G. Allen, #ThereAreDinosaursInTheLibrary!
I really enjoyed this story and know my students will too. I love how it encourages the children to explore their imagination which as a skill we have found children are struggling with in this day and age. The illustrations are fantastic.
I wish my class trips to the library were like this!
I have 2 boys ages 4 & 6. One of the first things they fell in love with were dinosaurs. My 6 year old wants to be a paleontologist someday so we read anything and everything that has dinosaurs. We love books and we love the library. In fact Thursdays at school is library day and that's my son's favorite class. This book was so much fun! I'm adding it to my wish list for my boys. I'm going to buy 2 copies. one for our home and one for the librarian at my son's school. My kids want to read this again and again. Thank you Netgalley for sharing this title with us in exchange for my honest review.
So darn cute! It’s important to teach kids how magical books can be and how they can transport us to anywhere we want to be even if we can’t go there physically. I think this message is so important to teach kids young and I’m a huge fan of this book! Thank you netgalley for letting me read it!
Everyone in Mrs. Barker’s third grade class is so excited for LIBRARY DAY—well, except for Alyssa who claims to “hate” the library. Mrs. Barker set out to change Alyssa’s mind about library day. The teacher showed her how books come to life and can be truly exciting. By the end of the story, Alyssa LOVED the library.
This was such a cute children’s book! I loved the message it sends about loving books/reading. Books really can come to life when you are reading something you enjoy. I read it to my three-year-old and she LOVED it. Also, it kept her engaged the entire time—which is no easy feat!
The writing, illustrations, and overall design of the book were excellent!
Thank you NetGalley and AllenED for this ARC!
Cute story of a teacher encouraging a reluctant reader to get excited about a trip to the library by promising dinosaurs, and then magically letting them loose from a book! Fun premise and delightful illustrations, but as a librarian myself (with children who love to read and go to the library) I was a bit irrationally upset that the dinosaurs disrupted all the other students from enjoying their book/reading time when they had been excited to go to the library...
This is a very cute book that is perfect for kids who are into dinosaurs. This children’s picture book is also a bit of a love letter to a library and its amazing ability to access content via books and unleash the imagination. The art is very colorful. The typography is playful but the multitude of fonts was a bit distracting for me. Overall, this is certainly worth a read and left me with a smile. Thanks to NetGalley for putting this book on my radar and providing me with a digital copy.
What a sweet book! It’s a fun way to encourage reading and imagination. The illustrations are colorful and cute. A variety of dinosaurs are in the library so be sure to brush up on your pronunciation skills before reading this book to your little ones. I definitely recommend this for folks who encourage young ones to read.

3 stars - I liked it!
This is an absolutely adorable book about the magic to be found in reading. It is library day, but Alyssa is a reluctant reader and is not interested in the least. Her third-grade teacher encourages her by telling her that “There are Dinosaurs in the Library!” Her teacher opens a book and soon the school library is overrun by a variety of dinosaurs. The cute story demonstrates the adventure to be found in reading and emphasizes the excitement of a trip to the library. It also introduces several dinosaurs along the way. The author implements clever use of different fonts with big bold lettering for dialogue and small font for other phrases. The passages often curve around Octavio Cordova’s bright colorful illustrations. I recommend this book for any child ages four to ten. This book will thrill dinosaur lovers and encourage reading in young children. It is a great addition to one’s home library or a gift for the teacher.
I want to thank the author and NetGalley for an advanced reader copy of this book.
